Our kitty found us when I was walking Stevie - she ran out of the bushes and attached herself to us. They were best mates for a few years, but Rocky is now quite careful around Stevie (I think it's because Stevie keeps sticking her nose under the cat looking for 'treats'). Rocky and Jodie still play chasies though.

Stevie turned 7 yesterday and we think she's beautiful.

Stevie grew into a lovely long-legged teenager...

Stevie quickly found the best room in the house, with food and cool air. She didn't fit in it but made the best of the situation.

Stevie on the night she arrived, five-and-a-half weeks old having a power snooze after a big day leaving her mummy and siblings. It was Christmas Eve and her siblings went into a pet shop

Mine says 'processed in New York' 8 November, but I have a PO pickup card in my letterbox today. I can't remember ordering anything else -

:scampering back to look again: OK I was looking at the Control Unleashed puppy thing which is a book. Am I ok getting the Foundation Seminar DVD instead, to give us some ideas for our NEW PUPPY (can't help shouting about him)? And do the DVDs working in Australia? ETA I've already got another cart full of stuff anyway, thanks enablers -

The chew guard dragon is what they'd run out of and credited back out of my order. Is there a DVD for Control Unleashed and if so, is it worth the shipping or is it available here? I've got more chance of having hubby watch a DVD than read a book. -
Have you had any replies/communication from PetRescue? Just wondering, because I've been a huge supporter and would hate to think all that great work over the last few years suddenly becomes redundant (except to those pets already saved).

Skye Terrier In Blacktown Pound
Katdogs replied to Boronia's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Is his name Dougal? That's one breed I didn't meet in Scotland - there are bazillions of Westies and I met multiple Borders and Scotties but I didn't meet a single Skye He's very cute. Well done Skye breeders and wonderful schmoo -
Has anything improved? Have inquiries increased at all?

Update - credit card shows they've credited the item they were waiting for, so parcel really should be on its way. -
I've never been a photographer but I'm very happy with how this turned out. TRAVELLING - Great Ocean Road, sunrise, in the EK Holden: I've got more but don't know how to attach from iphone and have to reduce the sizes to do it through DOL

That's very interesting Corvus. But have you heard a Yeti or Yowie to know for sure it's not one of those?

Sammy The Anti-gardener And His Big Weekend

Sorry Monique I didn't reply earlier. I remember reading the original threads about Nads and Sapper and having a bit of a tear in my eye. Sapper has become a very handsome man and I hope to meet Andrew one day with my own boy, even if they're not related! -

I've received an email that my parcel has been shipped but I don't trust it now. It appears to have addressed me in Chinese characters If nothing turns up in the next week or so I'll email Clean Run again to see what's going on, but I don't want to use the email links! -
Check out Aymon at Narwee, or Green Cross at Mortdale (not sure of their prices now they're Green Cross). Both very good vet clinics.
-
My dog was kept overnight beforehand so that she could be guaranteed not to have eaten or drunk anything when she wasn't supposed to, and so we didn't have to rush in the morning for drop-off to the vet and then to work (which meant we could get home early to pick her up). Also perhaps some vets like to keep smaller dogs overnight if they do their surgeries very late rather than early?

I just listened to it again at work and didn't realise my speaker cable wasn't plugged in properly... Various votes here on it being a Yowie/Yeti, a Wookie or bear, or a man.

It did. I couldn't hear any of the details either side of the noise, but the noise itself was bad enough. Stevie (very unusually) hackled and was very tense, and was looking for where the noise came from. Jodie came in from the other room but a bit Kelpie-slinky and nervy. It's especially odd because normally Jodie is the pro-active defensive barker rushing around and Stevie isn't fussed by anything much.

Perse what sort of sheep is that?? That's more than a year's growth of wool, surely? Hamlet is a lovely looking gentleman, very special

Sammy The Anti-gardener And His Big Weekend
Katdogs replied to Katdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
Maybe after tomorrow night's Ozlotto win, we'll get Sammy and Stevie a room each! (I've also promised Stevie a golf course with sand and water traps, and a duck pond, and Jodie gets some sheeps to wrangle). Thinking about the positive side, at least Sammy will be big enough to play with Stevie sooner rather than later! I won't worry about getting puppy-sized toys  -
He's still at the pound, has a week to go. No sign of owners yet. He's such a sweetie. He acts very timid and trembly when he meets a stranger but it's just an act - within ten minutes he'll be bouncing around like a puppy again, looking for cuddles. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a bit of Iggie in him, he has that way of sitting and looking at you! The pound vet nurse also thinks he's just a funny little thing with the way he plays :) When we went to the pound, I attached his lead behind the cargo barrier just in case he made a jump when I opened the door at the other end. He spent the whole (five minute) drive frantically trying to climb through a gap because he thinks dogs should be on the driver's lap (he was on the bench seat in our old car when he came home with my husband). He was very upset and busily scrabbling at the seat, but didn't bark once! He didn't bark at all when crated or confined either, and the pound say he's very quiet with them too. So, he's a desexed, housetrained, non-barking, gentle little dog, good with other dogs and even cats. What a winner I hope a good rescue group can take him on and find just the right home for him. There are some photos in the thread in General.

Sammy The Anti-gardener And His Big Weekend
Katdogs replied to Katdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sammy is now 1.25 KILOGRAMS! Blubba, not Bubba! He's the big black lump under his mum's chin. I wish we could visit and cuddle now - and I don't even really like puppy-breath -
I was voting clown or yeti or teleported Tassie Devil, but hopefully if it's a man he's decided your house is too hard after all and moved on. Good on Daisy for being so brave!
