Oh sorry, you were just the Distributor

Really so why did you say this, in THIS thread? Direct quote.. Gee you seem to know a lot about me Shall repeat for you, that diet is NOT breed specific (size specific in certain cases, but NOT breed specific) as you seem intent on rattling on about needing inside knowledge in order to feed a Sheltie pup And, I would never mention MY product the way you do, as MY product would probably not be the right one for this particular pup. OP please seek your breeder's advice as has been said, as this is the only advice worth listening to. Please don't go buying some fancy foods UNLESS this is what the breeder tells you to buy
-
Because no matter what the question, you are always trying to flog your Nutro/Ziwipeak etc and it may not be the best or easiest option for some puppy owners.
-
Diet is NOT breed specific. As has been advised, you need to continue the diet the breeder has been feeding rather than start up with something completely different so seek advice from the breeder - they should supply a diet sheet, then consider changing gradually at a later date if you feel the need.

Umm yeah

How many more times are you going to repeat yourself and expect others to do the same in replying You have your opinion and that's fine, but stop trying to ram it down the throat of others. That's all this is about. You want people to join you on a vet bashing rampage but it isn't happening for you, is it.

Nothing new is coming up. it's a merry go round...

I feed vegies, including pumpkin. No problem with that all, as long as they are getting the necessary protein amounts and some fats.
-
As I said, it is fed in addition to raw meaty bones ie. minced chicken frames.
-
That all just sounds like sour grapes

Pet Ark have a great puppy supplement that you can add to raw bones and make it a complete diet. www.petark.com.au

Why do people keep harping on the desexing? I would suggest a bitch with skin/coat issues should keep her ovaries.

Good on you No reason why responsible owners cannot manage entire pets.
-
No, only if there was infection present.

Meaning Of The Term 'condition'?
gareth replied to poodle proud's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Another term that is often used is substance. Would anyone like to define that? To me it suggests good bone. -
Your pup, whether a pet or show dog, must have his own registered pedigree. The breeder has to transfer ownership of the pup to you when she sells it, and your name will be on the pup's pedigree as his rightful owner. If the breeder is registered and is registering the litter with the state canine council (which is part of the normal process), it will cost HER more money, not you, so it appears the breeder is cutting corners and trying to bluff you. Make sure you ask if she is a registered breeder, and if the pups are registered.
-
Ask the breeder to post out diet sheets and puppy info they provide. You should at least have diet info so you don't have to go running to the shops after you get the pup Make sure you are buying from a registered breeder. If you not sure what that means, ask them their prefix and if they are registered with the official state controlling body. also please make sure they health test the parents. (Sorry, but I am getting a bit fed up with all the posts in general from people who thought they were getting a purebred but have bought from some dodgy BYB or puppy farm)

I think the discharge may indicate there is a foreign body causing irritation, and the wound will most likely need exlporing.

slippery elm powder mixed with some natural yoghurt does wonders for upset guts. http://www.natural-health.net.au/articles/...elm-bark-powder

Gripsoft make a nail trimmer that has a guard at the back to stop you clipping too short. Might be worth a try. Otherwise the $20 Dremmel (mini sander) kit from Bunnings.

Might have been a better idea to invest in a wire crate so she could see you. Softcrates are more for dogs who are already crate trained, and happy to be in there. Not to worry, just lots of perservance, be firm, and get ready for sleep deprivation. Have you got a wire pen you can use instead? You can get them at Bunnings (compost cages) for $20. Can you have the crate in your bedroom at night?

Unlikely to have punctured anything. The gut is just irritated from eating wood by the sound of things. Just be a bit more careful with your puppy proofing, he'll be fine.
-
Agreed. This pup needs to go straight back for the "breeders" to manage, and you should be given a full refund.

Anal glands most likely need emptying. The rash is probably carpet burn. Take her to the vet and get them to show you how to empty them, or alternatively ring around groomers as some groomers will do them for you for a few dollars.
