  1. Yep, they come up if they are not properly chewed. Switch to bigger bones.
  2. Do a forum search for "crate training". If you use a crate you can contain the pup in an area (such as bedroom) where she/he/it (?) can be with you.
  3. And do you eat the Hills Ultra Allergen Free Z/d as well?
  4. Raw chicken necks and wings are wonderful as part of a young pup's diet. Natural calcium, protein and fat, and they clean their teeth, assist with teething and, they love them.
  5. It's actually the oxygen that flushes the anaesthetic gases out. If it is surgery that will improve the dog's quality of life, have it done but ask for local and sedation especially if it is something superficial. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. can't you explain what it is?
  6. Most likely her anal glands need emptying. Take her to the vet and get them to show you how to do it.
  7. According to the rules, it is. But it often seems to slip thru. Have you even read the rules? Mrs Tornsocks, are the dogs badly matted?
  8. You need to pull him up on this, be firm. Helps if you get there nice and early and get other people to go in the ring with their dogs for some practice runs with you. The judges will certainly let them get away with a fair bit being babies, but a few months down the track he will need to be behaving much better, and he probably will if you can teach him the difference between showing time and playing time now That often happens with group. The judge would have decided that they loved the dog the minute they saw it in breed judging. Nothing to do with anyone having rare breed, though you will certainly find it very difficult to guage how good your pup really is with no breed competition.
  9. Oh pull your damn head in Since when was this about me, and since WHEN am I not allowed to try and put my point across to someone who cannot seem to understand it. You ALSO need to learn to read. Taking a swipe at me for no good reason then carrying on as if you came here with advice for the OP Once again for YOU, if you quote somebody's post it is generally assumed that is the person you are speaking to, and it is impolite to ignore them, especially if they didn't read your post or misunderstood what was said, as it appears in this case.
  10. Hmm, temper temper Just a tip for the next forum you land on, if you quote somebody's post it is generally assumed that is the person you are speaking to
  11. Read MY post. Did I say expensive was good? The point of my post, I don't care what it costs if I know my dog is in trusted, capable and caring hands. Why shop around if I have a vet I trust my dogs with?
  12. Does as far as I am concerned, as I know my vet and trust him, and he knows my dogs. I know they will be well cared for. WoUld you shop around for a cheap surgeon for yourself, or would you go to someone you know and trust?
  13. Hydrogen peroxide in open infected wounds cleans them up and heals them.
  14. Its not their breath I like, it's the puppy smell you get when you snuggle them. Never understood the term puppy breath, but baby puppies themselves smell delicious - clean fluffy warm ones that is.

we know enough to know that you should not get a staffy.. Off topic: please do NOT use the term "we" and speak on behalf of the whole forum. Please speak for yourself only :shakehead:

That was actually a very light answer I thought

Wash the floors and vacuum the carpets??? Was this a trick question?
  18. Not sure how you found the question unclear as I made it plain as day, and I am not having a go at anyone, despite your condesending attitude towards me. If puggy doesn't know details, or even if these classes exist, why would puggy say they do??? The OP could be sent on a wild goose chase. Interesting that puggy is unable to speak for his/her self ;)
  19. Thanks. I can read. Puggy tells us that Dogs Vic runs show training. I want the details, as this is the first I have heard of it. It was quite clear what I was questioning (unless you somehow missed the bolded bit).
  20. They do? who told you that? Where is the info? puggy, can you please expand on the information you have posted?
  21. They do? who told you that? Where is the info?
  22. You can enter if you have a main reg dog. But, be prepared to have to stay from 8am till 5pm and have your dog benched so he/she can be admired, patted and poked the general public all day, and you are there with him to talk to the public about your breed.
  23. end of what story? So how does selling differ from distributing? And who suggested you were importing it? I don't think you need to be quite so condescending as it seems you are proving me correct with everything you post can't say I have seen anyone trying to flog Artemis, so I guess they are actually adhering to the forum rules.
