Where did you find this nonsense? A litter from two parents of two different breeds produces licorice allsorts. Go look at some of those designer mutt websites. All the progeny are different in size, coat type and overall apperance. No way can you tell what "breed" of dog you are looking at.

Not every runny poo is IBD. Pups can easily have gastric upsets due to all sorts of things, mainly the ingestion of foreign substances found in their environment. Certainly no need for poo samples and faecal floats. No wonder you have such ridiculous vet bills IR.

Probiotics will help. A good natural remedy is a teaspoon of slippery elm powder mixed into some natural yoghurt.

My Boy Is Limping Again After 2 X $5000 Tplo Surgerys :(
gareth replied to BubbaBelushi's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sorry about your boy. Keep him warm. I have noticed since the weather has turned, the oldies are feeling it in their joints. -
and I have a vendetta ah well, at least something has registered.
-
Oh dear you are precious. You WILL learn, hang around
-
How on earth is that time wasting? Obviously you are not aware of how many things can change from the time pups are born till they are ready to go. Be glad the breeder was honest with you. Allow me to suggest you need to go find the mythical breeders with the perfect puppy tree out in the back yard

Your posting style seems to be getting less and less intelligible. Perhaps we need to ask Troy to clean up the mess you started. I will look forward to your new topic. Hopefully you can make better sense there.

Can't you read? What you are doing is NOT democracy, it is railroading a thread and is against the forum rules. If you want lecture people about desexing, go start another topic Take your soapbox with you.
-
Exactly right!

YOU can't see the point because you are unaware of the importance to some responsble and educated owners of keeping their dogs entire. Why is that so many people on this forum automatically assume that any entire dog or bitch will want to escape and mate, and the owners will be powerless to stop it happening? Why bring it up anyway when it has NOTHING to do with the topic raised? Perhaps you need to mind your own business?
-
That makes no sense at all Are you suggesting that this owner is incapable of keeping her bitch safe, and therefore will be producing pups that will have a hard life? Get over yourself
-
Oh dear, have they changed the laws? Is it illegal to own an entire bitch now And, what Clyde said. Supervise and let her get used to them.

Nutrician Help For My 9 Week Old Staffy Pup
gareth replied to BigBlueTyson's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Exactly. I can't understand why people would encourage others to feed a growing pup crap dry food. You want a healthy dog? Feed a healthy diet, and that includes raw bones. -
She Vomitted Up Something That She Ate 3 Months Ago...
gareth replied to megan_'s topic in General Dog Discussion
Just keep an eye on her for now. That would have hurt coming up and may have caused a bit of damage. I doubt the vet would do anything except maybe give her an anti inflammatory. -
Entropian may be influenced ie. worsened by environmental factors if not treated, but I can't see how it could be primarily caused by environmental factors. Anyway, beside the point. I thought it was an interesting comment and wanted to know more.
-
OK, would that really be environmental or a secondary complication of another condition?
-
I would be very interested in reading the arguments that consider entropian may be environmental.
-
I would not call it assuming, I would call it "suggesting" a scenario that seems more likely. I would call it assuming. Just because a scenario may seem more likely to you, does not mean it is correct, so why bother assuming anything? If you want to assume anything, let's hope Kurt was incorrect about the length of time his dog was being attacked
-
Why do WE need to make any assumptions at all? This kid was interviewed on radio this morning. Sounded very sensible too. More common sense than most adults.
-
The kid won't be charged. Just heard on the news.
-
Your quote Where did I say that? AKA Supercoat. Or were you referring to all the other drys and NOT Supercoat? No, only anecdotal evidence like yourself which suggests that dogs live long healthy lives fed on wild game such as rabbits. But then I didn't go making any unproven claims the way you did. Why do I need evidence?
-
Agreed Jed. I was always of the belief that this forum supported BARF feeding and I for one, have learnt an enormous amount on how to feed BARF from this forum, in particular from Steve's posts in the last few years. Why is it now that when people on this forum talk about thier preference for BARF feeding they get called food nazis? It really is offensive. I will repeat - it should be about what is best for your dog. And for those who go the extra mile to research and try different foods to see how the dogs perform and what they are healthiest on, whether it be dry or natural, well good on em.
