Pablo, what did the vet say about the inhaled substance? Did the xray show if it was an object or was it liquid? This is a form of pneumonia called aspiration pneumonia and is treated with antibiotics and rest. Who fed the chicken wings and why so many at once? It may just be a case of gluttony and increased abdominal pressure has caused the pup to vomit and aspirate. Not enough information here. Were they digested eventually? Please do the poster here the courtesy of not taking the topic off track but perhaps start your own thread. Tianakaesha, it's an ugly choice for Pablo, but it may be better in the long run to avoid possible heartache and big vet bills. Only Pablo can make that decision I guess.

I'd have this pup straight back to the breeder. No reputable breeder would sell a pup in this condition. The problems don't sound as if they will be easily fixed. If he is unable to digest food there is something more involved going on. He may have a bowel disorder and you could easily end up with a chronically ill pup and mountains of vet bills if you decide to keep him.

Ok, so it's hard and exhausting work, but is it worthwhile? Can you tell us more about the dogs you have trained that have made it, and have changed the life of a disabled person? Would love to know what breeds have been the best, and whether any of the rescue dogs have been successful. Have looked at your website but there is only one success story there that I can see. Sorry this all strikes me as a bit strange. Dexter was placed with a disabled person, then returned becuase of a minor medical problem? What was the problem that led him to be taken from someone who needed him yet he was able to do training with you? Is he going back to the same disabled person? You seem very defensive aatainc. Why is that? Sure Rackrune post was aggressive, but I often find that where there is smoke there is fire. It would be better for your credibility to answer rationally rather than be angry and rude and pick faults with someone's spelling mistakes. Sorry to take this off track, but for anyone who is embarrassed by their dog's behaviour, it SHOULD be about them because they have a big problem if they feel like that. Anyone who goes to obedience school with the motive of looking good needs to re-examine their motives I think. Or have you confused me even further? To add to this thread, I feel that the rules of dog training should involve working towards a mutual understanding and ultimately earning your dog's respect.
