Glad to see our very own "magical" waiting room is doing so well The very funny thing about this room that :: there is ALWAYS room for everyone and their furbabies :: phobia's disappear for both human and canine and everyone feels at ease and welcome :: and quite magically this karaoke suddenly sounds like a choir of angels ( can't have the nurses complaining) :: best of all it self cleans so never seems to get messy no matter how much the doggies shed.. in short.. it's perfect for fun and sharing and the odd giggle as the dogs let one go every now and again as we wait for more good news to filter through.. I baked a tray of doggie treats .. they need spoiling too

katdogs: thank you for the lovely remark but there is a method in my madness and the Idea came from the earlier "waiting room" comment Yes we are in a waiting room type situation here and I thought if we make it a nice place to visit and check on Jed each day or we all run the risk of having it effect our own health through worry and concern. In a lot of Children's hospitals they have bright cheery atmosphere and rooms for parent to retreat but its a very loving atmosphere and by us coming in to see who has popped in, what goodies have been left,, some silly comment here and there to put a smile on our face, we look forward to the visit and getting wonderful news that Jed has improved is the absolute icing on the cake. Anyway this is Jeds thread and i need to take a walk and move some of those callories from eating muffins.. BBS to check on Jed

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO muffins, a hot strong cappa,, BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG comfortable loungies... AND canasta and backgammon, TV ( hmmm smuggled in a DVD player for us to watch some movies: Twilight fest anyone????) :: waves magic wand and all the place is spic and span again... not a drool drop in site:: Kicks back in a very warm seat ( thanks Rommie) with a NEW magazine and just enjoys the atmosphere.. IMPROVEMENT is near Jed .... One more day... and another day closer to getting back on your feet. :: Reaches over and gives a Newfy a hug ::

Well the waiting room is a place for all and everything. A place to wait, and place to smile, a place to have a cry we can have a joke, or read a book, knit a jumper or or just chat and watch whatever is on the idiot box as we wait for news. we all have heavy hearts with the waiting,, but creating a warm welcoming place for us to come check on Jed's progress,, the time will go a little quicker,, and really give her something giggle about when she is up to it. Cappo machine is for all to enjoy.. canasta game under way for those that want to play.. and we can talk about how we feel and that's ok.. awesome new Toohey...

Candle Lit for Jane/Jed, my sincere sympathies for your loss Jazzie. There are absolutely nothing we can do now but pray, hope and be positive and WAIT for Jed. There is a saying in the State Emergency Service that we have in emergency situations and disaster relief... Hurry up and wait.....cause sometimes you just want to get out there and help, but they haven't collated everything and you sit around for ages just waiting be patient people Our love and support is there regardless....

Hi Guys, I had to take a break from doing the Rainbow Bridge Portraits for another reason... I was burnt out, but was a little embarrassed to say so.. and had taken a break for DOL until events of the last few days that drew me back. 16paws, thankyou for doing that portrait,, its awesome and please feel free to continue to help. mish, have replied to your email, but ravyk please feel free to help out also.. (( did one editing and for some reason its blurring on printing))

Thank You Toohey: its so good to hear that Jane has improved and got through her first surgery ok. Just edited to add that atm her pain levels would be minimal I think due to her sedation, its when they start waking her up next week that she will have the discomfort.

Just popping in to let Jane know I am thinking of her, and waiting for any news on how she is progressing. My thoughts have been with you all day, and with those that are helping you while your recover. also wanted to add my thanks on the update of the the precious ones that survived..

Can I just say, I feel honoured and privelleged to be part of a community that when push comes to shove, we all gravitate together and pull as a beautifully oiled machine. Distance is no barrier, cause each of us does something to help. Can I please ask that everyone looks out for each other for signs of stress, because even though most of us are not there, it can and does affect you (( I had to take time away from doing Rainbow Bridge Portraits due to the Victoria Bush Fires... I was that stressed with it all, and i wasn't even there, I just did sticker. ))

Oh sorry if i gave that impression, it wasn't my intention.. it was more of a reply to the previous post. I totally agree, this is something that Jane ( or her family) will decide.. I guess I was just thinking aloud. Sorry if it offended anyone
