It's always good to read things from a different perspective. Should always keep an open mind. -
Breeder Wanting Puppy Back For Future Litters
mysticpaw replied to westozmike's topic in General Dog Discussion
They don't have to outlay anything, vacinations, food, vet bills in general and then if they need to get puppies there is a bitch ready. Pet owners believe that their dog is special and the breeder wants to use it in the future, they feel included in a breeding program. I maybe wrong, about this particular breeder, but I would walk away. The pup that is right for you is worth the wait, hope it comes soon. -
My Missing Puppy.... In My House :) :) :)

Lottie is very cute. -
After the fires, someone posted a list of vet supplies that was needed. I approached my vet to see if I could get things through him at wholesale prices. Not only did he get things he matched what I purchased. They also gave me heaps of collars, leads and things that reps had dropped off.

Both these groups have members that may have a second hand scooter. http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/owdog/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SHCNSW/ There is also another or new OWD forum will try and find that for you.

Do you mean a rig (with wheels)/ You can only use sleds in the snow.

I have never seen the movie, though my daughter says I should. I was saddened to read the second story as I when ever I have talked about the movie I have mentioned the story of the rescued Mals. Now it just makes me sad and angry.

Was going through some papers tonight and came across something that I printed off a couple of years ago. Decided to google it and came up with some interesting info. This is the story I printed off years ago. http://www.wayeh.com/sleddogrescue/8below.htm When I searched for the original story I got this. http://www.wayeh.com/sleddogrescue/ Thought it made interesting reading.

We were walking last Sunday morning and a dog rushed across the street and attacked the girls. As we walked up the footpath there was a car with doors open adults and kids, and all I could think of is I bet there is a dog running around somewhere. Sure enough there was, the thing that got me was they appeared to bend down to grab it, we slowed down and it all looked good. Dog goes to the kerb, adults turn their back on the dog, we yell "get your dog" Dog crosses street attacks one of ours, owner comes over and starts kicking wildly in the air. A few words were exchanged about having control over your dog and having a leash on it. He got really angry, blamed the kids for leaving the gate open as they were packing to go on holiday. "The dog is old, cranky and doesn't like other dogs." Things happen, I understand that. What annoyed me is we had four dogs, one of which couldn't put her weight on her front leg and was wimpering. I had to get the other two home and get the car to drive back to the vets. Mr MP had to carry Tala to the vet, not far but still she is 20kilo and hold onto the other girl. I would have thought that they could have offered us a lift to the vets, or dropped me home with the other two. The other thing that concerned me, if that had been a smaller dog, and not ours it could have been a disaster. Thanks for the thread, gave me a chance to vent, have been stewing all week.

Hi We use Avantix as well, we still nearly lost our boy a few years back. We think the tick may have already been on him and it slowed it down. I was pretty cranky as I thought it still should have killed the tick. The best prevention is to go over your animals, especially behind the ears, on the throat and under the armpits.

I only use mine if a dog needs to be seperated or at a Pet Expo for time out. I am a bit like WildatHeart, anyone can visit if they are friendly.

That's not a kitty - that's a husky-cat! :D True, he does have that reputation. :D

Hey Ruth. Thinking of you both, and hoping you find out what the problem is soon. Siberians can be sooky at times, but never stop surprising you with their inner strength. Big hugs.

Love this one.

Have something in my eye. Not sure if these suggestions are to long. Life lies in the palm of your hand. Holding life in the palm of her hand Precious life in the palm of her hand Strength and love in the palm of her hand.

Great pics. Love the Bison one. Interesting concept having the railroad track. Was it part of a theme?

That is a look of shame Ricky shame. If the girls get up there while I am gardening and leave it unlatched for two seconds, he gives them a right talking too. Because we were out it was no rules apply. Will take a photo of the gate when I get home from work. It had two palings across it, but they squeezed through where it wasn't latched properly. Thank goodness the fences up the back are secure, though the girls were working on it. Jatz's feet have cuts around her nails. The funny thing is they are all clean now, I love the way Sibes wash themselves.
