That's still 'taking a dump in public'. Make your mind up, Squiddly. If your dog poos behind a tree it's still having a poo in public anymore so than having a poo in the oval or on someone's front lawn. As long as people pick up after their dogs, that's all that counts.

I dont reward it either. I just pick it up and bin it. It's not difficult. I didnt mention rewarding when they poo in public - I just commented that if they have to go when we're out and about, I dont stop them.

Wow do the people who say they dont let their dogs poo on lead refuse their own child to poo in a nappy? If a dog has to go, it has to go. Just take bags out on walkies and clean up after your dog rather than drag him down the street.
