  1. Excuse me Steve - I'll just bold that for you. Sums it up nicely and deserves to be quoted
  2. Buckle up. It could get bumpy. They are not answerable to anyone which I find really objectionable considering they are funded by the tax payer. I'd like to see the Ombudsman in each state and the ICAC to have the power to stand over them *cough* I mean answer complaints about them.
  3. They didn't carry it around all day on the beach. It was outside, not inside a building. You can't use that as a logical argument. Of course, she can. Scratching my head here. What's so hard about grasping the concept? The dog was on the beach. Even worse - the owner clogged up the court list with garbage. I'm convinced it's Barking Mad loonies.
  4. What is your problem? Don't exaggerate matters, I do NOT keep addressing you in posts as a rule. YOU MADE THE COMMENT that the RSPCA do not customarily get back to complainants hence why I addressed ONE post in particular to you. Yes you do. This is a great example. Ring the RSPCA and waste their time asking the question which is obviously a bee under your bonnett, Moselle (while they could be chasing an investigation about ahum...actual animal cruelty). Dont keep asking me. I'm not their spokesperson :p I dont even like them.
  5. Look I dont know why you keep addressing me in posts Moselle. Ring up the RSPCA and further waste their time by asking them but it's pretty obvious in my post why they dont, is it not?
  6. Nup. It's actually vexatious (which is worse) and her name is probably on their list of vexatious complainants if she actually told the truth in this thread and wasnt exaggerating to make the story more interesting. As for rspca not getting back to her - as far as I'm aware, they dont get back to complainants. If they did, they wouldnt have time to investigate any complaints. Just because someone complains it does not mean they have any right whatsoever to know the outcome.
  7. Exactly Ellz. Report to Council if it's a safety hazard but apart from that you just look like a 'crazy animal-welfare nut'. Sorry but the more people waste the time of the rspca with complaints just because they dont like something, the less likely they are to investigate actual complaints of animal cruelty. It reminds me of the neighbour in bewitched who deafens her husband with the constant 'Abner...Abner'
  8. Sure but what have they done wrong exactly? The OP hasnt even been on the property - she's only driven by it.
  9. Either can I. What exactly did you report them for? It's not illegal to have a sign out the front offering kittens and puppies for sale and it's not illegal to set up boarding kennels unless they dont have council approval.
  10. ;) Next door's dog with the hand. Doesnt he look proud of himself! I want one of these
  11. How much fun does he look like he's having. I love it when he spins and barks at the camera as if to say - Try to keep up with me, Yo!
  12. Gee you'd think so but obviously not, ellz. Makes you scratch your head, doesnt it.
  13. It's the typical Nigerian 419 scam. http://www.eagle-wing.net/ClickPicks/Internet/Nigerian.shtml
  14. My JRTs do it as well but they actually do it to the littlest dog. I think they're just looking after the most submissive in the pack. Interesting thought, though. OT but Dusty, your scruffy doesnt look like a cross to me. He just looks like a rough coat Jack.
  15. Wow what a great thought - maybe people really should read rather than read into - try it sometime, TM. And you would have fought this little episode of 'revenue raising' and clogged up the court list with something so inane? Really? You couldnt even fight a speeding fine, remember? And it isnt about the entire coastline - it's about a regulation for one particular council. What part of 'No Dogs On Beach' is so hard to comprehend? Maybe the ranger gave the dog owner a fine because he was a grouchy bloody smart aleck. Good on the ranger!
  16. What a little darling. How could you possibly have thought he was lonely and bored with the nurses hanging around and having a face like that He's gorgeous!
  17. Well it's all the same thing really. Maybe the dog had a go at the judge because the poor bugger had been sick for days with tablets being 'shoved' down his throat and finally he had enough. I would have bitten the judge as well if I was that poorly. Upshot is, the owner took it all the way to the Supreme Court and clogged up the list trying to justify being an imbecile. The dog should never have been in the ring in that state. If he'd pulled the dog from the ring for the weekend he'd be well on the way to grand champ at this point so he has no one to blame but himself. I hope it cost him a shitload in legals!
  18. What a great story - thanks for posting it. I love Dobes!
  19. He wont be lonely and bored. Imagine how much fun the nurses are having with a big goofy puppy. He'll be having a great time and they'll all be inlove with him. When Pancake was ready to come home the nurses and vets wouldnt give her back because they hadnt finished with 'their' playtime
  20. Well it wouldnt happen to me because I'd never be downright dumb enough to take a sick dog into the ring. Either way it's done and dusted. Take it up with DogsNSW if you have a problem...which you obviously do so sort your grievance out with them.
  21. Pug With Pearls Very cute! Have a great day.
  22. Pancake was in the oxygen cage for a couple of days but didnt crash before getting better. Try not to stress so much now Kaffy. Your little buddy is in good hands.
  23. Just on this point - look I know we all bash ourselves up when something happens to our pets but bad stuff sometimes happens and you have no control over that. Try not to give yourself a hard time.
