And no one is saying it's all about yard size. Why do you care anyway - unless I'm reading it wrong, you didnt even buy from a registered breeder so it really shouldnt matter to you who breeders sell to.
-
Why is it wishful thinking? I have one of ReadySetGo's dogs. She's sitting right here with me as I type. I'm sure RSG wouldnt have given me this dog if she didnt think I was a suitable owner. Did a breeder refuse you a pup 'cos I'm really trying to figure out why you're so antsy about breeders thinking they are elitist just because they care where their puppies end up
-
Yep. I totally agree.
-
Crazy. Based on yard size? Breeders know no more about me and my ability to raise a dog than what my butcher does. That's why breeders ask questions of potential puppy buyers. Wouldnt you rather a breeder care where one of their pups end up?
-
Fair enough. I just cant answer your question because I dont know. eta I probably can answer as a puppy buyer. What would I do if a breeder said I wasnt suitable for one of his/her pups? Find another breeder Make myself suitable Realise the breeder was right and I wasnt suitable Would i go to a byb or petshop with my knickers in a twist that the first breeder was being 'prejudiced'? Nup.

I dont know. Why dont you ask them? And I have no need to justify who breeders sell pups to because I'm not a breeder. Personally, I would much prefer a breeder quizz me before I buy a pup than just sell me a dog without knowing whether or not I and my property are suitable. I dont think it's about prejudice. It's about giving a rat's bum where their puppies are going to end up
-
Would any breeders refuse to sell a dog to someone who didnt own a car (does that question even come up when you quizz potential owners?) I'd be worried they wouldnt be able to get a dog to the vet during an emergency.
-
;) That is GOLD

It's the breeder's prerogative who they sell a dog to. Keep in mind that if an owner decides it's all too hard to keep a dog in an apartment, most breeders will take the dog back. Then they have to find another home for it.

Ohh you poor bugger. What a way to get out of xmas dress ups and a photo shoot! Naughty bloody dogs! Maybe email canon for a quote.

Warley's photo of a xmas elf It looked so innocent back then. Little did I know!

Now we're on to the gazebo squatters Is that what they're called? A few times an entire tribe flounced into my gazebo and I had to move out. there was no frigging room left. Enigma, try not to piss off any of the regulars who somehow think they own a particular spot. They get very precious about a particular square of turf THAT'S MY SPOT!!! Hilarious. Goodluck and have fun.

One of my relos has a young BC in a small apartment. The dog just gets walked 3 times a day. I really cant see the difference between a dog in an apartment or in a house and locked up when the owner is out. It's the breeder's call though - they know their own pups and it's up to them who they sell to.

Typical dog people! That's great, and what a lovely memory of Tobias.

Sure for sure. It's real for all of us to lose a dog. Hav you seen a Doc yet, matey? It will help a lot so might be best to make an appointment just so you get yourself sorted first. I have spoken to my doctor several times, He gets mad at me, I have spent $140 ph on phycologist few weeks & nothing has helped me. I tried meds but they didn't agree with me so I stopped & I don't trust meds anyway. The whole thing has effected my entire life. I,m just at a stand still. i'm on heart tabs also. What a dreadful feeling. Can you see someone else? What area are you in, honey?

Illegal For Dogs To Wee On Nature Strip Now?
raz replied to ChocoLabs Dad's topic in General Dog Discussion
:D I wonder if your neighbour is the same guy who joined this forum a few years ago just to go off the deepend about dog owners letting their dogs pee on 'his' nature strip. Just tell the cranky old bugger he doesnt own the nature strip and make sure you always pick up after your dogs when they poo (I'm sure you do anyway) -
Oh for goodness sake. She's obviously hurting so why make out that one loss is greater than another. Give her a break!

Your children are insanely good looking! The pug monster aint bad either

See a Doctor, lovey. We all go through this grief shit and it's really really horrible (isnt it just the worst thing, lovey) but whether it be a two legged or 4 legged friend, you need to speak to someone. It really will help in the long run
-
Does he have the internet? Ask him to join himself so he can ask dog trainers on here rather than go through someone else

thanks rastus.

I thought I was in off topic. Nek, do you have a linky for the toys for zoo animals? My dogs are serial ball killers as well.

I'm not sure if you've read the thread and the article but Roxy's only second chance is at rainbow bridge - she's dead. Thank her lousy owner.
