  1. Pull the other one and it'll play jinglebells, Horse.
  2. Because it would be as useless as an ashtray on a motorcycle. I would trust a global flu vaccine before I would trust an elapid vax.
  3. How much money does RSPCA receive every year from the biggest producer of eggs in this country? I can see the same thing happening with dogs and kitties. Pay royalties - get the tick of approval. As much as I hate the militant animal activists, they were damn correct in exposing that hypocrisy.
  4. The day I buy a puppy from someone who gets the rspca tick of approval is the day I start buying battery eggs with the rspca tick of approval or eating junk food everyday because it has the heart foundation tick of approval. Aint gonna happen.
  5. It was amazing, wasnt it. Only buy puppies from puppy farmers endorsed by RSPCA, like only buy eggs from the biggest egg supplier in the country which is endorsed by RSPCA.
  6. I borrowed a friend's canine journal and rang breeders up, introduced myself, said what I was interested in doing and asked when they were showing so I could go over and meet them. I'm currently helping someone get a pup (pet only) so sent emails to breeders who remember me from when I was showing. eta if the person I'm making enquiries for wanted to show and/or breed I would have said so and i dont think any of the breeders i contacted would have responded less enthusiastically. They've all been great.
  7. [quote name='Nuggywuggywazabear' timestamp='1316555174' So maybe next time I should just say that my pups are to be desexed, but if they want to learn about how to become a responsible breeder I can offer some assistance. That's probably a better approach. The less said the better in a situation like that. That buyer is going to tell everyone he knows about your letter and you can bet he'll embellish it to make you look like some demon nasty breeder. He wont get the point you were making about ensuring responsible homes for your pups
  8. It's amazing they dont do something about the idiot. Wouldnt be very nice if someone wrapped themself around a tree to avoid him. Does the hypothetical dog need vet treatment?
  9. my computer is being temperamental and utube crapped out on me but I got the gist of it, especially from some of the comments Nice of the guys to call you, SC!
  10. The hypothetical drunk riding the bicycle should be reported to the police. He wont remember in the morning so I think the hypothetical dog is not the issue. That hypothetical idiot certainly is, though.
  11. It's fascinating, isnt it. Looking forward to you posting the results, SC
  12. I hope you dont as well, SC. One of my dogs reacted to AV so I'm mostly concerned about serum sickness. I've been told if he gets envenomated again the AV will probably kill him, not the venom
  13. Nice vid, SC. What did you answer when the guy asked you if he'd been there for very long? Gee I dunno...I forgot to ask him You herpers are all such mad chaps. They all listen to Michael Jackson eta good question about you getting tagged. Do you have much info about serum sickness?
  14. What a gorgeous crew! Lovely backdrop in that first shot as well. Well done Gayle!
  15. You've already got a great list. Those names made me
  16. so did I. It was probably someone who saw the judgmental comments here about pitbull owners who abide by dangerous dog legislation but are suspicious because they wear a hoodie What goes around comes around, as they say
  17. He looks soooo happy, Hugs. I think you did a pretty good job shooting him. I would have been too busy laughing. I bet he got a huge cheer from the crowd
  18. I love the shot of the dog you think is out of focus, hugs. It looks like he has a parachute drogue about to pull his canopy out
  19. so why approach registered breeders to start with? That's like contacting mercedes Benz for a recommendation to a sale yard with overpriced chinese cars. Bad analogy but the only one I could think of. Good luck convincing them not to get a baby echidna, Andisa
  20. Good on you for putting so much thought into what breed of dog you want and what might be suitable to fit in with you. Another vote for whippies - fabulous dogs - but I'm sure that when you finally decide on breed you'll make a great choice.
  21. I had to kill one of my dogs years ago but yes that's true - it is a hard thing for an owner to say but the media isnt reporting to the public about their own dogs and in that report it seemed really obvious to me that specific language was being used to tone it down which I dont think they should. When people dump their animals do you really think they acknowledge to themselves their pet will probably not get rescued or adopted, it will be injected. maybe if dumpers were forced to hold their animals as the hypodermic goes in they'd be less likely to cast them off when they get sick of them. Although probably not. They'd just take them for a long drive instead
  22. Isnt it amazing that the media keeps using the terms 'euthenasia' and 'put down'. It's about time they started saying that if the pet no longer matches the curtains and gets dumped IT WILL BE KILLED
  23. Oops thanks Pers. I got really cranky after seeing the pic and just skimmed the article
  24. Jesus, that's disgusting. And if the farmer had shot those dogs there'd be serial whingers complaining about it. More bloody irresponsible dog owners. I understand that sometimes dogs just get out but 100 livestock in 3 attacks?
  25. Oh wow the penny finally dropped this was the bitch who went on walkabout with her buddy. Double congrats!
