Exactly, Liz. The petition says 'non registered backyard breeders' so if I decide to become a backyard breeder but I'm registered with Council does that mean it's OK? And what about all the show exhibitors who dont breed? My show dogs were all entire for the length of their show careers. Number of litters? Zero. eta Snap, Janba No I wont be signing the petition. Exactly but obviously too hard for some to put their brain into gear when walking their dogs. There are a lot of mothers with kids in prams and joggers around my suburb and they absolutely despise dog owners thinking we're all the same lazy dickheads who dont pick up after our dogs. Makes me so damn cranky.

It certainly does, so once again the responsible dog owners cop it because of the lazy bastard dog owners. I saw a girl let her dog crap and move on when driving the other day and I blew a fuse. Did a u-turn and told her to go back and pick it up. She tried to use the excuse that she forgot to bring bags and I called her on that because she had just come out of the dog park where there is a roll of free dog poo bags available to the park users. Some people are just too damn lazy or too precious to carry dog shit in a plastic bag when out walking. Makes me wonder how many land mines they have in their own backyard.

My pug has about 20 different coats for winter. It's not because she's a child - it's because I have to look at the clothes once I put them on her and like to laugh at how ridiculous she looks, and they get changed every day because she rolls around in the garden and they stink if I dont wash them everyday. this sure aint no child. My dogs are dogs, not children. I can give my dogs raw meaty bones for dinner, shut them in a crate to drive them somewhere and let them crap in the backyard or pee on a tree. I'd probably be in a bit of trouble if I treated a kid like that.

Sure but to come in here and insult breeders, pet owners and people who work in the industry is what? Stormie works at the vet clinic I use. She and the other staff are incredibly compassionate people and I know for a fact that Stormie in particular is deeply affected by sick animals. That was just plain rude.
