Very good advice, Feef. What's the point of feeding textured vegetable crap to a meat eater JUST TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL GOOD? Absolutely ridiculous.

Have a healthy dog. You're a bugger. I'm just thinking Diet Diet Diet. Not sure if I want to go down the path of homoeopathics - just undecided on that one.

so what's the best way to build the immunity?

Thanks Bom. Good ole Zayda Asher in there. She's a wealth of info.

Thanks Moochi. I'll print all of that out.

I havent heard of spitting in dogs' mouths to gain their loyalty but I have heard of something else - one of the Anita Cobby murderers believed it. Just unbelievable. Your dogs will be loyal to you if you give them leadership. No need to spit in their mouth or play with other orifices.

He was a very sexy dog. Run free, Houndee.

Bloody hell I rarely come into rainbow bridge but a lovely Doler told me about this thread. I'm so sorry, Sammy. Take care of yourself.

Well that's just what being a puppy is about, snoopy, but please dont think of exercise at this time. Play time yes - full on exercise no.

Cute very cute. Could be any of the suggestions in there. That is going to be one fluffy coat when she's older.

I'm so sorry Choppa. Absolutely gorgeous photos to remember him by.

What a dreadful disease. I'll also be watching the thread for positive news about the sick dogs, and so sorry about your dog, RnB.

I'm so sorry, Pokie. RIP Sharkie boy.

Totally. And what a breed to try to bring in with BSL looming over breeds already here.

If there were Police dogs in my street no way in hell would my dogs be out. They'd be locked up inside so they wouldnt be driving me insane with barking, and letting the Police get on and do their job. I think it's nice the Police asked you to lock him up.

When mine were bitten by the RBB, behaviour was very erratic - hypo one minute, almost comatose the next, loss of bowel control within about 6 hours, kidney failure within 48. If snake bite is a possibility but the vet maintains you should just be keeping an eye on her (fingers crossed it was just a dry bite if she was bitten) I'd be keeping her as calm as possible while you're monitoring her, Allerzeit. Crate her if necessary.

Thanks Ruthless. I'll check it out.

Where did you get the lens, Ruthless? I need to start shopping around for a new zoom. Last one died from mould.

Oh No. I'm so sorry Cassie.

What a little piglet. I'd also be more inclined to go the wing. As for the vomit - dont worry about it if she wants to go back for seconds.

Just bring Gomez over here and I'll show you how to do it yourself, Gomez. Another doler is coming soon so maybe we can tee it up and I'll show both of you.

Do they hand strip, Westie? I wouldnt let anyone near my dogs with a stripping knife if i didnt know them (come to think of it, I wouldnt let a hand stripper near my dogs unless I knew what their work was like either). I know of a doler who asked a pro groomer to strip her dog and he took him back to bald. Poor little guy was red raw.

Rough coat (not wire) Dru, and the double coat should actually protect him from the heat. I'd say definitely dont clip him - it wrecks the insulation properties of the double coat. One of my roughs hates being stripped so I use a coatking on him when he gets too mutant afghan looking. Pro strippers? I have no idea but not very cost effective. To give you an idea - I spent 4 hours on one of my boys on sunday and he's only half done. Gomez the Norfolk went to a pro stripper before she moved to sydney and it was hideously expensive. Quite frankly, you couldnt pay me to strip other people's dogs. It's bloody backbreaking. Tell him to get a decent comb and just comb his dog out every day. It'll take 5 minutes.
