I couldn't leave my pets. I'd send my kids off with family and get my pets out. My sister had a fire near her not too long ago. She packed up her 2 kids, newf, 6 cats and 2 rabbits and brought them all to my place lol. Was a bit cramped but we managed!

My brothers 2 year old (at the time) son got out while his mum was sleeping His Staffy followed my nephew out the gate and down the road (towards a main road), right next to him. Some people stopped and tried to get hold of him to tske him to the police, but Rocky put himself between the people and my nephew and growled and snarled. My nephew turned and started running back home. In the meantime, my brother had arrived home and found his son missing. He freaked and ran back out to the car, just in time to see his son running down the road, dog right next to him, still growling at the car which was following at a safe distance. The people in the car stopped and spoke to my brother and complimented Rocky. Rocky has also saved my nephew from being hurt. He was climbing on a trailer while we were all sitting around. All of a sudden, Rocky got up and sprinted to the trailer, throwing himself under it, just in time to cushion my nephew from a nasty fall when he slipped. None of us had even noticed, but the dog did.

RIP Sam, run free over the rainbow bridge. So sorry Tara and Sam.

I has a photo to add!!! Not exactly of the meet. Katie had me for SS, and she said one part hadn't arrived. She told me she would drop it by when it arrived. She dropped it by last night and I opened it as soon as I got home of course... I LOVE it! It's the first lappie thing I own, apart from Snik!

Had a BALL! Dogs slept all the way home, lol. They were just as buggered. HUGE thank you to my SS, Katie. Kids were really rapt with their presents. Immy has gone to bed with her Dolly and Coop had firm hold on a crocodile. I've already eaten some choccies and hid the rest LMAO. If they eat them, I will kill them! Also, big thank yous to everyone that took time with Bonnie. She is very social butterfly at the meets and it does her the world of good to be there. She's changed so much since I got her!

Heather has temp fencing, which she is bringing. I'm going a little early to help her set up. ETA - gazebos are a great idea!

What is everyone thinking of bringing? I'm bringing sweet stuff as usual - brownies and something else

My stepmum was exhibiting next to Kylie. Apparently, there was an advance guest speaker on, so exhibitors had moved down to the end of the row. There was only one person left in their row, and he was asleep. Kylie went to the loo, came back and Harry was gone. Stepmum also said that a couple of hours earlier, the guy had been asking to buy one of the dogs. Everyone sent him away.

My sons maltese is a nut. She's one of those dogs that greet me like the long lost prodigal son when I come back in from the letterbox. Not sure how my lappie is -I haven't gone anywhere for a long period. I had a foster dog stay a couple of months ago and I ADORED him. He was rehomed and his new owner bought him to the next dog meet. He went NUTS when he saw me and the kids and got so excited, I thought he was going to wet himself. It was lovely to see.

Hell KHM, how does THAT work as a teacher? If I was a teacher, I think I'd be an alcoholic. And don't you get lots of wine presents at Xmas? Me: Allergic to lavender. Like vanilla scented stuff, but I have a MILLION candles. A new convertee to Lush (also thanks to Fran ) Love chocolate, no dark pls. Like my kids sometimes . My dogs when they're behaving (and not chewing toys). HUGE Tinkerbell fan. I collect anything and everything with her. Like reading and watching movies - hard pressed to get anything I haven't read/watched. Dogs are pretty easy going. Both have pink or purple accessories. I can't think of anything else!

I HATE having my photo taken, but wouldn't mind someone taking a pic of my dog. After all, she IS gorgeous. But I'd prefer to be asked, and I would not be amused to see the pic online without permission being asked.

How long are you staying for? I can catch up with you one day and bring Snik to cuddle. Leaving Monday the 13th. There for a wedding I'd love Snik cuddles! Snik is blowing coat atm, so yeah there's a lot of hair around lol. But it's a small trade off for having her. She's actually very easy to wash and groom (a huge thankyou to her breeder), so it's quite enjoyable getting all that dead coat out.

Lappies are not very well represented in Adelaide so I get a LOT of comments. Mostly good ones - some young guy at the beach yelled at me "your dog is beautiful". I always get asked what she is, but I've also had "nice border collie" (WTF?) and "is that a husky?" Kid at school asked me last week "is that a real dog?" A friend was babysitting and his son's mate asked what she was and he said very seriously "she's a brazilian mouse herder". Kid looked confused and said "oh...I've never heard of those!"
