  1. Kirislin, I'll do a walk through for you a bit later today Thanks Altheau! I was going for a sort of watercolour look there. --
  2. Being stupid with the wide angle lens -
  3. That was so, so upsetting...truly incomprehensible I could only watch the trailer...I don't think those images will leave my mind for a while. I can't understand how the human race can be so inhumane. I don't know what else to say...you just wish you could make it stop.
  4. http://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/findpit.html Here's the test to find out.
  5. Nothing very useful to add, just wanted to send you lots of hugs Bec :D Our boy Jaffa got cancer when he was 8...I think it was November 2005 and he passed in January 2006. He did very well for a little while but suddenly went down hill very rapidly and we realised we had to make the decision. I believe it truly is the most difficult decision you'll ever have to make - as a dog lover anyway - but you know you're doing the right thing and you will always, always cherish the time and memories you had with him. P.S: Don't worry about feeling stupid. When I thought our other boy, Sebastian, was ready to be put to sleep, I cradled him and bawled for hours...only to have him come home and be perfectly fine He did pass a month or two later though.
  6. No, I think there's still a lot of hope for them, and I think the public is slowly becoming more educated about them. I think it's an extremely slow process but I don't think BSL will conquer. Dog fighting is slowly decreasing, more places are outlawing it, and there are more and more rescues doing something about rescuing and rehabilitating Pitties - retired fighting ones in particular - which I think shows people how forgiving and human-friendly it is. I recently went away with our 4 dogs and stayed at a dog-friendly B&B. The woman who ran it was very much a dog lover so we got to talking about BSL and bull breeds over breakfast and I was shocked to hear that she actually knew what BSL was and that she opposed it. She was a big fan of Pitties and she knew what she was talking about. I've found this to be a more and more common occurrence when I strike up conversation with people and that gives me a lot of hope
  7. Just brilliant Serenah, you're doing so well
  8. Thanks a lot guys, it's fun to play around with Linda and Dani, check out the link...I found it easy to follow
  9. Thanks for the info Nik I wasn't sure given it was out in the day.
  10. Too cute, I love his 4 little white socks
  11. Zomg, just discovered this effect and I'm having so much fun with it! - And two more photos I just loved - The link to the Lomo Effect tutorial if anyone's interested- http://digital-photography-school.com/how-...omo-photography
  12. Cliff's great, we also used to use him for a number of years. We use Steve from Pet Food Supplies now.
  13. That's what I don't understand, either. The butcher has those items & is willing to sell them...but not for dogs to eat. What are you supposed to say... 'It's for my husband who eats like a German Shepherd?' Exactly...business is business, money is money. We feed our dogs human-grade food, I don't see the issue. I think it was just him being very petty.
  14. Most definitely report it and make sure they're aware that both dogs and yourself were injured. It's completely not on, she shouldn't be allowed to have such an aggressive dog at the park. The poor thing has no hope with an owner like that.
  15. We were essentially stopped to asking using a butcher for the same reason. The guy was lovely - a father and his three sons I think. We'd buy ten kilo boxes of chicken drumsticks and necks, and often ask for any trimmings or scraps they had for the dogs, as well some big thigh or calf bones, which had never been a problem. Then one day one of them simply told us they wouldn't sell us food if it was going to be given to dogs. If we had said it was for humans there wouldn't have been an issue so I have no idea what the problem was. They lost a regular customer anyway.

    Wow

Another lot of spectacular swimming shots- http://www.beautifullife.info/art-works/sp...rom-tim-tadder/
  17. Goodness, he has no depth of chest at all, I can't imagine he'd live a long life. Looks like this boy - George - has beaten him anyway- -- Titan is 4 years old - apparently he's also deaf, blind and epileptic... -- http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/fe...ds-tallest-dog/
  18. I believe Titan currently holds the world's tallest dog title- Though think he may have recently passed away...
  19. That is just priceless ;) -- Not a breed thing but I also get asked if Jack is blind in his blue eye a lot of the time?
  20. A lot of people don't seem to realise Sibes are escape artists...they're often surprised when I say it. ETA: They also love the 'cockroach'
  21. That's my thinking too, but I couldn't word it properly. In a perfect world, every dog would have a second chance, or a good owner. The fault is entirely with the owner and the dogs are the ones being punished.
  22. http://bestbookmarks.co.cc/photography/win...tography-awards
  23. They should be put down and the owner should be fined heavily for not enclosing them properly. RIP doggies...how awful for their owner
  24. It's just gorgeous. If I had the money to spend on that sort of thing I'd love to have it in my collection.
