  1. ME hahahaha I've bought at least 2 lenses thanks to DOL
  2. Thanks so much guys, I'm so ridiculously stoked Someone else just bought another 7, plus the one Cin just bought (thank you <3 )...it's surreal. I feel very chuffed
  3. I sold 42 things on Redbubble today and I am so ecstatic I've been miserable for, well, most of this year...this is the first time I've felt this happy in a long time My mum got the ball rolling, sending an email to all of her contacts with my Redbubble link...then people just started buying - cards, framed prints, matted prints, laminated prints. I've made about $200 which is just amazing for me, I've never sold more than a couple of cards. Here are a few of the things that sold- Just had to share with you guys!
  4. I have to admit this was the first thing I thought when I read the article WTF were you thinking putting a 14 year old dog outside, who had its throat slit the day before? I mean seriously? My reaction I suspect would have been to go into hyperdrive! 14 month old :D Either way, I agree...I wouldn't have let him out of my site. Truly disgusting, I don't understand it. Hope he recovers well.
  5. Absolutely stunning shots Helen Arizona and Rosie are beautiful. Been wanting an older Staffy for a while...*cough* :D
  6. Just gorgeous, absolutely love that light Your gang are all so gorgeous.
  7. Your short story has brought a tear to my eye. The love you can have for children is a beautiful thing, but so is the love for your pets. You are right to be grateful and you should be proud that you appreciate the love you have around you no matter where it comes from. Many people take love for granted I agree. It may not necessarily be the same kind of love, but it is just as special.
  8. I'm getting on as well, the big boofers are the biggest cuddly bums ever. I'm with Mantis...big boofers all the way, get yourself a Bullmastiff or something
  9. Mine make my heart swell when I look at their faces and realise how much I love them. They make me feel happy and appreciated and they make me laugh even when I'm an absolute grump. They make me wish I was as carefree as them. They amaze me in their ability to be so expressive and communicative. I love how they speak to you in their own way and let you know what they need, and how forgiving they are when you might lash out on them on a bad day. All in all, they make my life better I don't know what I'd do if they weren't around.
  10. I'm so sorry to hear about Magnus. I didn't follow his story but it's clear how special he was to a lot of DOLers. It sounds like he and Meg and the 3 Boxers must have died quite peacefully (I hope?) which is a small consolation. And that there will be a lot of very happy furkids waiting for Jane when she's improved. I just wanted to add that I think if this had happened to any DOLer, the response would be the same, which I find truly amazing and very encouraging. The community always has its ups and downs but it really knows how to come together in times like this to provide as much support and care as possible. I think everyone here helping is just incredible. I hope I haven't said anything out of line, just very hard to put things into words in a situation like this.
  11. That first one is just spectacular. The lighting and the mood are incredible. Superb, really awesome job DD
  12. Ugh, you just wanna smush him in your arms. Too adorable. I want one
  13. One of those primitive spitzes if I'm not mistaken. Looks a bit like a Basenji x Akita...quite attractive.
  14. My list keeps growing and growing. These breeds have the most appealing looks and temperaments for me- 1. Staffordshire Bull Terrier 2. Bullmastiff 3. Dogue De Bordeaux 4. Alaskan Malamute 5. Finnish Lapphund 6. Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) 7. Swedish Vallhund 8. Rottweiler 9. French Bulldog 10. And undecided between JRT, Bernese Mtn. Dog, St. Bernard and Great Dane
  15. My heart's in my stomach. I've donated what I can...I'll be thinking of Jed for the rest of the day and waiting for updates. RIP doggies...I'm so sorry Thanks for everything you're doing Steve.
  16. Such a tough life for dogs They're both gorgeous.
  17. Ugh, so many gorgeous dogs! I'm afraid I have a bit of a bias opinion towards the Lappies and Vallies though
  18. He sure is He's Misty, he's about 14 years old. He's a gorgeous old boy, loves a bit of a cuddle. Thanks a lot!
  19. Believe me, I would if I could
  20. So sorry Kirislin, I realised I completely missed a step. Once you've filled your shot with the paint bucket, you want to change the opacity to 40% and change this menu to 'Hue'- Then switch to Lab Color, go to the channels panel and click on lightness, unsharp mask, and switch back to RGB color. Hopefully that sorts it out. Thanks a lot Newfsie, I thought it was pretty cool
  21. Haha, that's great Kirty. I know this one is pretty out there but I kinda like it-
  22. Here we go, hope it helps- ETA: One sec, wrong size ETA: Ignore what my layer panel looks like.
  23. Thanks guys It's really fun to see what effects you can make with it. I'll get onto that tutorial now and post it up.
