Bindi, that's too cute Absolutely love all your editing in this thread, you've come up with some great things. Rocco, really adorable shot, you look like a great pair
-
Thanks Steph! I took an absolute ton of cow photos on the way home yesterday that I've yet to upload...will inform you when I have :D We were standing on the side of the road taking shots for about 10 minutes because they kept coming closer and closer, hehe. Thanks so much BB Yeah I was pretty stoked with the 4th one, I didn't realise I'd caught it as it had come out of the water until I loaded them onto my computer. I love the water in the third too, it was so gorgeous. Thanks a lot Tlc! And thanks for thinking of me, hehe - nice to know I was missed :p
-
Well here's 8 bird photos from me to catch up-
-
Hey BB! Happy birthday for the other day What a bugger, Rainy! I knew there'd be a few DOLers in the area but I didn't get a chance to ask. The holiday was great, I really enjoyed the change of scenery and got a lot of shots I'm very happy with I've just uploaded 65 to Flickr if anyone wants to have a browse This month's photos all look brilliant so far, I'm blown away by the creativity of everyone here.
-
Hi all Sorry about my unexplained absence, as Huga said I was on holidays. I had expected to have Internet access, hence why I didn't let anyone know I'd be away, but it ended up not working. Anyway, we were staying at Cullburra in Shoalhaven so I have tons of shots to upload This month's challenge looks great, am about to browse everyone's work so far. I took a huge amount of bird shots whilst away so I think I'll go with the diary theme and upload a daily bird shot. Hope you're all well!

No worries, so glad you do
-
Hope you like it, let me know if you want some changes made
-
I'd love to Sheree, will get on it
-
Thanks for the encouragmebt Iltby, Im definatley going to have a crack!! Do we know what it is yet?? I have an idea but I think Ash is keeping it a surprise She may have changed it also. Helen, it's a really interesting concept. Looks like a lot of fun just to experiment with, even if nothing else.
-
Yeah, looks like you can do some awesome things with it! I just Googled in, would love to get the 'control freak' one
-
Maybe I'll have a play around with it again Tlc, hope to see you participating in April!
-
Oh, thanks Cordy and Taurus Think I'm going to stick with the original Kirislin, yeah, a little editing can go along way...all I had to do was adjust the blacks.
-
Kirislin - thanks so much, always good to get different perspectives To be honest the original photo was really bland, I played with the levels and boosted the blacks a huge amount for that effect. This is the original- Thanks so much CM! I think I will stick with the original Dangerous, I'm such a wuss with editing I'll keep playing around but I never know what versions of things to upload. There were a few shots I would've liked to have been better too but there's time for improvement, hehe. ETA: That idea is just lovely Roc, I really look forward to seeing more in the series. The first is incredible.
-
Thanks Bindi! I think I prefer it too Thanks Lea Love your experimentation with textures, Ghost Train and Flags work very well.
-
Hey guys, I need some opinions! I've just tried adding a texture to my 'dangerous' shot and can't decide whether I like it better than the original- (original) -

Ooh, she's absolutely divine...lucky her

Whose is s/he?

Catching up on a few pages so I won't reply individually but I think everyone's done brilliantly this month and I can't wait for April -- Blab, absolutely love your cat shots, they're so cute! Clover, end of the day is gorgeous! Nature lover is lovely, too. AM, love the shot of Drue, he's seriously divine. I know nothing about horses, is he a Palomino? Taurus, the colours in fired up are incredible! CM, love Jamie's wave - too cute Ruth, inquisitive is gorgeous, what an insanely cute puppy! Cordy, I think the one of the cat with its tongue poking out is adorable Love me is great, too.
-
for anyone who ever asks I always say: "I was made for this job" ... in all seriousness, I love my occupation "Y" is for yellow - this photo isn't that good but I want to get to "Z" and then re-visit a couple of the others "Z" - this idea was inspired by this photo That's the way a job/career should be IMO, hehe. Z is fabulous :D
-
I really should learn more about the different methods of metering...I had a read in my camera manual about them but it was pretty useless So I haven't ventured away from the default. Ash, I haven't actually tried M yet We're heading to the Everglades today so I'll be brave and give it a go then CM, that sounds pretty exciting I think Poocow does something similar...
-
Thanks for the explanation Ash! Will try to shoot on a lighter background in future then
-
Montall, Iridescent is great...spiders always seem to turn out overexposed regardless of whether you use flash or not, I wonder why that is. Wags, love your sunset, the quality looks fine. The rich oranges and red are gorgeous. CM, Under is too cute Wave is absolutely adorable, too, and Xandi is seriously divine. What do you do for work? Lea, absolutely love Innocent, s/he's gorgeous! One of yours? I'm using a 40D Have just added you on Flickr also! ETA: Darien that cake is brilliant! What is it made out of? Aside from the obvious marshmallow Gorgeous galah shot, too. ETA 2: Kirislin - rofl, she does! I love your Ibis shot, the light shining through the wings creates a great effect. Montall, thanks very much
-
