  1. Korean Jindo That is a seriously gorgeous puppy! Fainty Girl, I would have called the Ranger! I think you should still. That's not a common breed of dog so shouldn't be too hard to track down.
  2. Me neither, was quite happy with my 2 minute look at the horses from afar with my dogs on lead for extra safety's sake. I LOVE Hillarys, just wish it wasn't so far away from me!! Well we'll have to do Leighton Beach as well as Kwinana because I think you'll find there's not too much difference distance wise from where you are
  3. What a devastating shock for you I met you and Cruise about this time last year, when he was just a beautiful happy wee puppy. I'm so sorry for you, I know your heart must be broken. Rest in Peace Cruise.
  4. I often give a raw egg as a supplement to a meal, maybe once a week. I am sure they are OK as long as it's not an everyday thing
  5. I was at Riverside Gardens last night and noticed a few greyhounds there, running free and not muzzled. I did wonder if the laws had changed. The dogs weren't a problem at all, in fact I could easily have snuck one home with me
  6. CY O'Connor Beach Cockburn seems a better option perhaps? Looks nice and grassy as well
  7. HERE'S some info re Cockburn Beach. Doesn't have a good review. Same website doesn't mention Kwinana Dog Beach at all
  8. Hey katie, found this when I googled - OK it's for horses but the dog beach can't be far?! Kwinana Horse Beach Reading that thread, everyone says Kwinana is better than Whitfords! Must be some beach hey?
  9. A mouse, Did you get it? Nup, tried to catch it but it was too quick for me and got into the living room. The cats will get it at some stage (they better anyway! One of them would have brought it into the house)
  10. They're fine to eat, they'll probably just poop them out the other end
  11. Often your local vet will have the business cards of groomers on their desks. Maybe call around? eta - just saw Loraine's post - Dogswamp isn't too far from Wanneroo
  12. My boy last night stood near the kitchen and just waited. I told hime there was no more food, all finished, all gone - and that usually does the trick and he goes to his bed. He just kept standing there last night and shuffling his feet on the floor, occasionally letting out a slight whinge/whimper. I thought he was being unusually persistent and was determined not to give in and get up but had to in the end. What did I find? A mouse in the corner of the kitchen! Poor dog was trying to tell me something, I just didn't figure that!
  13. Yep, I'm heading there early tomrrow morning. Supposed to be going back to work but decided just one extra day off won't hurt! Great pics Rubystar, I recognise a few dogs and a few people!
  14. Oh, what a relief for you For what it's worth, I think you have done the right thing by your dog. Sounds like a great vet too!
  15. OMG Bub! You just put me off getting a Goldie puppy starting this thread! Mind you, one of my boys was only 6 months old when he came to me and while he had a few anxiety issues, he was such a good boy and never went destructo - other than pulling up my reticulation - and that was while I was at home, after he'd had a walk and a meal! but otherwise he was fantastic. I think having an older dog around him was good influence as well
  16. Oh How dreadful. Swimming isn't even safe Can I ask where the puppy was swimming? Just interested to know if it's a lake or a river and it's somewhere we need to avoid.
  17. Hope your guys are all OK Ptolomy?
  18. I was just talking to Mason's Mom about Hillary's dog beach yesterday - she said it was flat (no waves) and was perfect for humans and dogs alike. They went there last week and thought it was better than Leighton because there were no waves. They also have a dog wash thingy there and yes it does apparently get very busy at weekends. I intend to head up there over the holidays as I suspect it's no further away than Leighton Beach and I will come home with a clean dog in the back of the car instead of half the beach!
  19. Well Bit Bit really is very pretty but Bub is just drop dead handsome I reckon!!!
  20. Bub has trained the pants off that Bitty, I am 100% she will perform!
  21. RIP beautiful Abbie, you had the best of lives with your mum by the sounds of it.
