Family Dog - Move To Us - What Will Happen?
Golden Rules replied to Snowball's topic in General Dog Discussion
I thought it was 7 months quarantine when returning to Aus from the states? I know it's a long time anyway due to rabies. -
Actually I could take him and I live closer .... Living closer ain't gonna matter when she's dead I'm not about to fight for Mason, but my home is open for him if he ever needed it, it's all I'm saying! Possum, we won't need to fight, I live closer so will be able to get to Mason sooner! ;) But yeah, he will have a few places who will happily take him in if the need ever arose

Yes, I give one of my cats slippery elm powder (made into a syrup) most days and it does work well ;) -
Yes I did call the RAC, I'm hopeless too! Has Amy bought her new car? I saw a smart white Astra wagon and wondered if it was her?
-
Were you guys on the lower ground at K9 today? I wandered over to say hi to anyone I recognised, but on the way over I noticed my car had a flat tyre so had to organise to get that sorted and didn't end up having a proper look.

I won the Supercoat cool bag and a dog bed today in a raffle ;)

I have half a bottle of DAP here that I used when I brought home an anxious rescue. I'll bring it tomorrow for you. It works for some dogs and not for others but well worth a try I also recommend Rescue Remedy or Emergency Essence if you have any.

Was it fetchindawgs?

That's what I do weekdays! You do have to travel far but I hope you find it worth it. I think it will be fun for dogs and humans

We don't need them while training - our normal leads are fine but later on we can buy the leads and harnesses from them yes. I have a couple of lunge leads, I am going to ask if these can be used instead of buying yet another lead I was told that the lunge lead I had was fine but that I might be better with a cotton one as well as some gloves to save my hands, have gone out to the horse shop and got both and will use the car harness which they said was OK. Have also hopefully got my flags arranged (have to double check the site to make sure they are alright). I'll bring the other long lead as well so someone else can use that tomorrow if need be. Don't forget to bring water for your dogs as they get very dry tracking and you may have to carry it with you, not sure. Excited about the tracking but not the early start, but I guess I'll get use to it. Will organise it all tonight so that I can stay in bed an extra few minutes. Thanks Valley CBR, for my signature hopefully it will be at the bottom of this post if I've done it right. I don't like the early mornings either but it's only for a few short months and I can always have a nanna nap in the arvo Love your new siggie Ozjen! Glad you like it. ;) Love your new siggie too

Is Ross Martin a Homeopath or a Naturopath? I know you have recommended him to me before Ptolomy - I have always kept his contact details, just not needed to see him before.
-
Do you know you need to complete an application form and bring some money tomorrow?

No, I think we are regarded as novices and innocents for the first 4 weeks (as we are in training) and only need to bring ourselves and our dogs.

Yep, so early to bed early to rise, we have to be at Gnangara by 8am, the getting out of bed is the hardest part for me but looking forward to the tracking. Very clever! If you mean the one on Archer Street in Carlisle, don't EVER go there unless you are happy for your dog to be literally beaten into submission I could tell you a story or two from my own experience. Apparently there is a very good groomer on Albany Highway in Vic Park or East Vic Park (can't remember which) and a lot of the regulars at my local dog park go there. A few of them could also tell you horror stories about the afore mentioned groomers.

Now that's a working Labrador! Off to the office for the day? What a great photo to have Wazzat ;)

Gorgeous dog!!! LUCKY dog!!!

I have a Sandgrubber too! In every sense of the word!

I like the Aussie Dog toys and for some reason the Turbo Chook has been very popular but they are not indestructable chew toys. One of my boys had chewed through the Home Alone toy within minutes of getting hold of it (nylon!!) and the Turbo Chook is well chewed up now.

Hi belgian.blue... my lil' buddy just 'graduated' frm VetWest's puppy school n we are really happy with them They run in quite a few locations and some on weekends too. I'm a newbie here so I might as well introduce myself... HI ALL I've love dogs all my life and finally, last Oct, hubby n I decided we've had enough of wishing and envy of other dog owners. After months of searching and prep, we finally have a little furry bundle of joy to call our own this Feb! Ozzie has brought us so much joy since that I cannot imagine a day without him He's aced through puppy school and I'm keen to progress to obedience training with him. Can anyone please share recommendations on good obedience clubs around South Perth, Vic Park, Rivervale, Belmont area? Hi DoodleBliss Welcome to DOL! Cloverdale Canine Companions would be my recommendation. I have been there in the past with my dogs and will probably be heading back there soon. They do obedience every Monday 7pm to 8pm and then Agility on Thursdays 7pm to 8pm. :p

I think Mason is just perfect and his nature is even better! How old was Ruby when you took that lovely photo Rubystar? She really does look like a stunner there, and but she's no lady when she's charging round the park! ;)
