Morbidly Obese 14kilo Malt
Golden Rules replied to keetamouse's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I had a little foster dog up until a couple of weeks ago - a Maltese cross - he weighed in at 12.3kg His elderly owner must have fed him anything and everything. The poor wee thing LOVED his walks and LOVED raw food over dry so it would have been easy to get the weight off him (given time) but he is now with his new forever home. I agree! -
It was lovely to meet you today too and your girls are beautiful cilabs and I was really impressed with all four girls being so well behaved, I wasn't sure what to expect when we saw four barrelling towards us, one after the other :D I loved seeing so many labs all together (Mason looked like the black sheep among them :D ) Crazy Cresties, hope you weren't overwhelmed by everyone?! Look forward to seeing you and your dogs at the next meet

Is Kris a Doler?

Great! As I said earlier, it won't be hard to miss a group of people with a whole lotta dogs about
-
The kids will only get wet if they play in the hundred litres of water Amy is bringing Bring a chair for yourself We will probably be a couple of minutes walk from where we park on Berndt Grove, and there's not actually a lot of other dogs usually there .... I think that's why a few Dolers quite like it. We will certainly stand out as a group of dog people
-
I have ordered from them before but it does take a week or so to get from the east to the west, I don't have a problem with that for a $5 delivery fee. It would cost me as much in petrol to go find the food I was after.

Oh cool!! Toller cuddles Do you have a GPS? Just put in Berndt Grove, Winthrop. Otherwise come up the Freeway, turn off at South St or Leach Highway and get onto Murdoch drive ..... the carpark for Piney lakes is just opposite Corpus Christi College but it looks like most of us will park along the roadside on Berndt Grove which is right near where we actually meet .... Amy is good with directions, will leave it to her to get you there 10am Piney Lakes Reserve - the off leash dog area

My goldie can't tear the green stuff off fast enough, and then he chews the rubber into small pieces and eats half of it. He's fine, it just comes out the other end. I don't let him do this any more because it's expensive having to replace tennis balls all the time (although I do find the more expensive tennis balls eg Wilson brand, my dog finds it very hard to tear the green stuff off) However, I don't recommend anyone let their dog chew and then eat any ball or toy as it's an obvious danger, creating a possible intestinal obstruction. I have a big dog and the bits he has eaten aren't that big and have always come out the other end OK.

This Is Really Weird, I Have No Idea What Is Going On?

The novelty has worn off? Old habits die hard? How about a heated dog bed? -
I agree, you just let us know where and when!!

Is soft bedding really going to help with arthritic feet? Hips and spine maybe but feet? Keeping his feet warm would do more good I suspect but this is yoour Atlas we are talking about *sigh* No booties for him?! I would be inclined to crate him inside on such cold days. If you really wanted to give him soft bedding - even for warmth - what about putting a muzzle on him? The kind where he can still drink .... don't know so much about muzzles....

Waft a lit sage stick around in the corner as well. Someone just told me that was good for getting rid of weird vibes in rooms/areas.
