  1. I can just see that, it would be so funny! Maybe you will bring Hemi to a DOL meet sometime? The Piney Lakes meets are usually quiet (well, not as busy as Riverside) and there's usually a few smaller dogs there
  2. I expect him to be mouthy but not bitey - we won't have that I will take it! Goldie pups are so cute. Your not going into showing are you Golden Rules? No, I'm not competitive enough to be a showy ..... he will be just a companion dog but I may do some retrieving, will depend on his obedience
  3. Yeah, well I'll be taking up all offers when I need a break! ;)
  4. A dark Golden if I'm lucky enough Always ulterior motives when it comes to puppies ;) :p
  5. You also have aMastiff??!! And when are we going to see the lovely Miss Rosie again??!! ;) edit - the bigger the dog, the bigger the sook in my experience :p
  6. Yep, agree here. I have two cats that are very timid. I brought a foster dog home recently and the cats wouldn't come inside from their enclosure for a couple of days. Then when they did, the little foster wanted to chase the cats - only when they ran, he would be OK otherwise, but they would run anytime the little dog looked at them. I was so pleased when that little dog went to it's new home. Cats will always be 'top dog' for me as they are far more vulnerable than most dogs. Hope you can find a solution MM!
  7. She works from home now (in Bibra Lake). I took my first Goldie to her when she was working at the East Freo vet. Due 12th August, so he will be home early Oct and I have 3 weeks off!
  8. How old is your pup JulesP? I have an older dog and he is inside all the time. Night time, he goes to bed when the lights go out (10 or 11ish) and he sometimes goes to the back door to be let out for a pee. I always ask him first anyway and tell him I won't be happy to get up in the middle of the night Usually he goes just before bed, or will wait until after brekky the next morning which is about 7am.
  9. Sounds like she is sensitive to something in the roll. Nature's Gift do a pellet dry food which is more semi dried - I use it as treats and I am known as the treat lady at the park as all the dogs come from afar and hang around me so the food must be OK
  10. I'll be sure to call you in a couple of months time!
  11. Whooo Hooo!!! Great news!!! Lucky you!!! I didn't really get a Toller cuddle the other day, they were too busy on the move! :D Hopefully you wil come to another meet though. I will be in the same boat in a few months and will be interested to hear what others think. I'd like to not vaccinate at all and will probably go with the lesser vaccination over a longer period of time rather that a C5 at 10 weeks and then nothing ...... in fact I don't think I will ever give a C5 vaccination again ..... will go for C3 if I can.
  12. I loved learning to drive!! The very thought of such independance was my motivation - that and the fact every other 15 year old in my class was getting their licence as well I will give you the tip though Rach ... the sooner you learn, the more confidence you will have. I know so many people who started learning to drive in their mid twenties and they are such anxious drivers and don't enjoy it at all. In fact I would say they are a danger on the road. Talk to your Mum and Dad, will they let you learn in their car? Get an auto licence to start with if need be (not something I usually suggest as I think everyone should learn in a manual). Hope you find a new job soon .... you are very mature for your age .... I'm sure something will come along soon enough - and something better than what you have been doing too
  13. Probably most but I don't and still put my 2 cents worth in
  14. I was under the impression she has placed some of her goldens, and was only going to be breeding her SBT, and this is fairly recent. I could be wrong and happy to be corrected I only know what I wrote above because she offered me a puppy a couple of months ago. She had one litter born late January and another litter born late February. You would know more RnH as you move in those circles
  15. I know Francis Strover - Westrova has her certs in animal management, maybe it was her?? i dont think she is breeding goldens anymore either Frances is still breeding - she had two litters earlier this year and there's a few Dolers with her puppies.
  16. Aahhh. Glad the bitch was OK! That would be such a nighmare
  17. She is a nutter!! SO much energy! More than a lab!!
  18. Hey RnH, is your MIL breeding again now? Did she give up and then go back to it? I have it in my head for some reason that she wasn't breeding any longer
  19. Hey, how come you haven't got Maizy on your list for ACD?
  20. Hello Vader's Mum Welcome to DOL There's a few Dolers down your way ...... I'm thinking we might have to organise a DOL meet down there!
  21. I think we need to get you down to Riverside Gardens on the weekend coz you'd meet most of the breeds on your list there!
