Well I know your dog is tiny and my dog is big, but either way, dogs are so stoic, they just don't complain about pain. Which vet do you use? East Freo? My vet did both cruciates for Dougal for $1500 a piece and the Xray was about $500. However, most vets will be able to give you a good idea if it's a cruciate tear prior to an Xray. So if your vet reckons it is a torn cruciate and they can operate at the same time as doing the Xray, I'd go for it. Less worry and stress all round on both you and the dog. Whatever you do, hope it all goes OK.

How busy is it that time of day at the weekends? I've been avoiding Riverside at weekends as figured it would be pretty busy with dogs? In my experience - very, I get stressed out at Riverside it's a bit too full on for me. I'd be the same with a small dog and busy times ... although Flossie always held her own

How busy is it that time of day at the weekends? I've been avoiding Riverside at weekends as figured it would be pretty busy with dogs? I have been going fairly early every Saturday and Sunday mornings and it's nowhere near as busy as what it is from say 10.30 or 11am onwards (and even then it comes and goes and you have quiet times). There's quite a few people with puppies and younger dogs lately as well so they are kept close to their owners and we all tend to hang out together. I don't go down after 11 am anymore because my dog just heads straight for the playground or a BBQ because he can smell food. His recall is non existant. A hot BBQ sausage is better than any treat I ever have for him and he knows it.

Hmmm, VCBR, I actually think we should have some new photos of Lincs now he is back home and lighting up your life!

Yessssss CC Huntsman spiders do jump, and they kinda fall sometimes too, probably because of their body weight I am very scared of spideys and I have a spider radar which runs 24/7 except when I am dead asleep. Beautiful day to enjoy Riverside, you lucky duck!!!

Looks like she did!

Yep, I am not so keen if snakes are a concern I will be at Riverside this weekend as always ..... probably fairly early though 9 - 9.30ish.

Seriously? I have to worry about scorpions as well Mirawee your foal is beautiful and GR how cute is your new boy :p Congratulations to Mason as well Louis sniffed a Mastiff's butt at the park yesterday Well done Louis!! A lot will be how relaxed you are at the other end of the leash so well done to you too! Well, I have been here for many mnay moons and I don;t think I have ever known we had scorpions here. All I ever worry about arre snakes and Huntsman spiders - the ones the size of a dinner plate - and they jump :p Have you seen any of those yet CC? ( )

T minus 18 days They say when you dream about a birth or a baby that something new is going to happen in your life ..... might be a new job or a new hobby or maybe it WILL be a new puppy??!! Or it may just be a new challenge heading your way.

Geeeeez!!!! Hope he has good health insurance - oh and LIFE insurance!! Thanks ST. I think I will be very happy with him when he gets here. Have treats and clicker all set to go
-
Yeah but he is at that kinda cute stage hey?! He is due home in 3 weeks and I think his name might be Paddy as that is what I have been referring to him as (Paddy pup) and it's kinda stuck. I have gone through so many Scottish names and oddly enough ended up with an irish one! His registered name is Supa Trooper.

He looks like he has had his face in the maple syrup!

Here's my reason to clear the grass
-
Crapola about snakes and grass Have yet to see a snake in Aus but there's a first time for everything. Long weekend coming up - grass will be pulled out!!!!
-
Oh no paranoia there Ptolomy! Yikes! Do you live in suburbia? I have grass up to my knees in my little back yard and need to clear it before the puppy comes home - your experience has made me wary & worry Great shot of a very proud Mason next to his prizes I bet he'll breeze through the next level!
-
That is just so sweet! Congratulations mirawee
-
Yes that is something else to take into consideration especially for your Crestie. I have a very hairy dog which perhaps makes me a little more complacent.
-
Have a look HERE for a really useful thread on the puppy pens and putting them together
-
Sweet! I am on holidays for a week when he comes home so we might be able to arrange something then?
-
How would you like to do a puppy photoshoot in a few weeks time?
-
Yes, I think in a corner as well, just because it's a little reminder about why the quilt was made, and not the actual theme of the quilt. Looking forward to seeing pics!

I've always taken the bit about the site being created to discuss dogs as a bit of a give-away. Along with forum titles like 'General DOG Discussion' (OK, it made up the caps and bolding, LOL.) Yes, it is a site about dogs but then it also has areas for reptiles, cats and off topic things. You said it was a breach of rules though, and as it is not stated in the rules, it can't be a breach. Yes those threads exist. In OFF-TOPIC along with all the health threads. Just make a few more posts Kate, and you'll find a whole world of health issues there :D ;)

OMG!!! Where have you been??? How is everything going? You must come to the next meet!!! Hihi :D Just been off the forums for aaages :p Everything is pretty doog, how bout you? All doog here too New puppy due on the scene in aboout 3 weeks It would be great to see you and your crew at a meet again - although the next one is way up north (like south Geraldton for you! ;) ) We have had a few meets at a place in Murdoch which would be much better for you.
-
Just start your thread again Kate Summers - but put something about exercising/entertaining your dog in the title and away you go! Some people are way too literal sometimes.

Same here and I think Louis will be ok as he's been fine on dog meets in the UK....it's just when single dogs rush up to him when we're on our own he freaks a bit. And also it depends on Daisy's results at the vets http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=204643 Hmmmm, looks like maybe ringworm or maybe a hotspot Do you have any tea tree oil? A little dab of that on it would be good if it was ringworm, and wouldn't do any harm to a hotspot either. Hope it clears soon! ;)
