Hi Christine I would suggest Deb Newhook who does acupuncture ..... Ptolomy has her contact details. I used to take my big boy for his hips and knees - we had about 6 or 8 sessions all up, and haven't needed to go back for over 12 months now. She is right upfront about what she can/can't do so would be worth speaking with her. Good luck!

How To Get Puppy To Go For Walks
Golden Rules replied to mackenzie11's topic in General Dog Discussion
That's exactly what I did with my wee dog (although she was about 6 months old at the time but reared on a farm and had never seen city traffic). I just ignored the digging in of heels and kept walking. Because she was so small, she didn't have a choice but to keep coming with us (I had a bigger dog as well who was keen to get to the park). I just praised her in a happy voice as I kept walking, and I think that happened maybe 2 or 3 times and she was fine after that. I have an 8 week old puppy at present so we'll see what it takes to get this one walking soon enough -
You have higher hopes for him than I do! (ok maybe retrieving ... )

I don't like it because I'm a stickler for correct and proper spelling but yeah, I'd guessed it would be something like that - although the breeders discussed it with me and also mentioned it was odd the way they spelt it. Still ..... he's too delightful to worry about a name that will never get used

I had a few to choose from, the other one I could have chosen had the word Amber in it and it just did not suit so we got Freeman Is that why Mason was called Mason? (Fremasons? ) Thank you, I was being lazy and couldn't be bothered going to look at the bag

:D I'm hoping my next dog I will be allowed to have some input into the registered name. It's one of the fun parts! I'm certain if I had asked, Ruby's breeder would have let me. But as I had no idea about registered names then, I didn't ask, so she just chose something with her pet name in it for me and it came as a surprise when her papers arrived in the mail I was given first choice of Paddy's registered name - had a choice of three - Winner Takes It All, Super Trooper, and one other (there were three pups in the litter), I tossed up between the first two - if Paddy was to be a show pup, he would have been 'Winner Takes It All' but went for Super Trooper. So he is Applewoode Supa Trooper (because Dogs West seem to have trouble spelling ) Mas, the Ziwipeak costs about $30 for a 500gm (?) bag but it goes a long way so makes it quite economical.

Yes, I have bought it a few times from Better Pets..... Osborne Park branch and they had to order it in for me. I use it as treats which makes it healthy and not expensive.

Valley do you think you have enough DVDs there? You could start your own library!

I want my puppy :p But gosh my two are so cute right now, all cuddled up together on the floor. Last night Millie practically laid on top of Ruby and they were both there squished up against each other staring at me Meanwhile the bed next to them was empty! Would it be so very wrong of me to get a puppy that doesn't shed as crazy as a Lab, and allow it on the lounge for cuddles while I still ban my Labs from having lounge priveleges? Lol that would be so so mean :D One of the reasons that Mason is allowed on the bed and the lounge ( hubby started all of this though) is that the cats are allowed, so its a bit mean to make him stay off the furniture when they are allowed on? Plus when OH is on nightshift I like the cuddles Actually, Ruby wouldn't care. Millie would, though. Millie used to lay on the lounge at mum and dad's (even though I kept telling her off, dad would allow her to during the day! ;)) and Ruby never once tried getting on the lounge. Even as a pup, I don't recall her ever getting on the furniture I'm pretty strict with no lounge/no bed rule, but part of me wants to soften up to get more cuddles. But the HAIR :D This is how I deal with the hair: Even his pillows have covers! My cats are allowed on the bed, but I won't have my dogs on the bed. That is too hairy a thought!

We had a work lunch there last year and we all agreed it wasn't worth eating there again - we ended up booking The Witch's Caldron again this year (which is what they do every other year, they just decided to try Frasers)

I frequent Vic park a lot seeing as I practically live there and never have a problem getting a park, as long as I don't want one right outside the place we are eating So anyway, this ban on puppy pics, when does it come into force? Look Mum, clean plate!

That's lovely Tiggy! I bet she gets Yoshi!

Squirty?! I think you should stick with that name! She is a dear wee poppet. Makes my boy look like a huge Boofa already! My poppet just had an almighty tantrum after I put his dinner in his crate with him and shut the door. The noise is deafening it is SO loud, I gave in Puppy: 1 Mummy: 0

Yes, lovely food, but pricey. Maybe we should have a north and a south venue ...... different dates ...... and then I can attend both! I think we should try and make it a central venue - we could go to Tomato Cafe? somehow I dont think they open at night though That's not such a bad idea!! As long as everyone is happy to make it lunch instead of dinner, and eat an all day breakfast or a toasted BLT! Plus dogs on lead welcome!

Oooh, I have a friend with two long haired Dachys, I will let her know!
-
Tiggy, are you getting that black bubby I saw earlier???!!!

Also we need to think of a train station for Rach in case she wants to come and isn't able to get a ride ......
-
Well I'm happy to try somewhere new it makes little difference to me travel wise as I am central so can go north south east or west :D
-
Only if you try to park on the main strip Otherwise it's not too bad. :D
-
Yes but is the food NICE? I prefer to pay more and get decent food rather than pay less and get crappy food! I hate paying for a meal that is only as good as something I can cook at home :D
-
What about somewhere more central for everyone? Maybe somewhere on Great Eastern Highway as it feeds all the other main highways. Burswood have a couple of nice places .... in fact their buffet is very reasonably priced and 100% nicer than than the greyhounds Or somwhere in Vic Park? ;) There's loads of cafes on the strip there ..... Catalanos, The Balmoral, too many to mention. Or Mt Lawley has some fab restaurants :D

OMG are you the president of the company!!! ;) Thats so cool! I may as well be ;)

Hehe, I think I could beat all of you! My office has french doors to a private balcony, overlooking the leafy courtyard below ;) Shame it gets a bit noisy out there otherwise I might use it more often BUT!!! I'm on holidays so who cares???!!!! :D
