  1. Lucky you! Hope you have a huge freezer! :p
  2. You could PM ♥Bruno♥ as I think she asked the same question about Kelpie breeders not long ago, she may be able to recommend a breeder for you - don't know if it was a Red Cloud or not though. You might have to copy and paste her user name from this post to PM her as I couldn't work out how to make the little hearts in her user name A little old lady who lives at the end of my road walks her old Red Cloud Kelpie up to the shop two or three times each day. I'm not sure who is older, the old lady or her kelpie as they walk at snails pace but obviously a nice little outing for them both
  3. Awwwww, that first one looks like a cuddly bunny rabbit!
  4. Well if you add another one to the mix they can wrestle together like Dougal and Paddy do!
  5. I was going to say the same thing Monah has said. My bomb proof dog suddenly got scared of the kitchen and refuses to come into it. I have no idea why but I am sure something has happened when I wasn't there. Just because it's not obvious to us, doesn't mean something hasn't happened.
  6. No Valley I missed it - what did they say? Basically that it was rampant at the moment and that it was possibly a new strain from overseas somewhere ...... so make sure dogs are vaccinated. I saw a notice down at Riverside Gradens yesterday as well but I am heading back there this morning .... yes it's around, people just need to be aware.
  7. I think that's because we have bought them all out I have a large box of new toys and stuff not yet opened - which would last a dogs lifetime
  8. I have my boxes all done, just need to get them to the post office (Monday) and I just hope they won't be over 2kg!
  9. I'm using Nutro for my Puppy after something upset his tummy. The Nutro is great, not so much poo to pick up either
  10. Yes, I found that crating my puppy in the bedroom made for a good nights sleep from the first night. He whined for 10 minutes the first night, 5 minutes the second night and not since. I also found putting a large soft toy in his crate for him to snuggle into helped.
  11. Two boys here also :D This ^^^^^ is exactly what mine are like :D One is a 14 week old puppy and the other 8 years old. So far they are great buddies and play all the time. I separate them when I am out so the older dog is not hounded by the puppy, and so the puppy learns to be on his own. I'll probably do that for 6 to 8 months until the puppy well and truly knows the rules inside the house and then he'll get free reign.
  12. Yes, I have tried to put food in mine (delicious food too like PB, dog mince, treats, some kibble too as Stanley doesn't have it often) but he's just not interested. Which is weird because he's a food driven dog. He sounds like a very lazy dog I only have to ask my older dog "where's your Kong?" and he goes nuts!
  13. Wow, Paddy is living the life, eh? Do you keep beers in there for him or just the soft stuff? I'm impressed you've taught him to use a bar fridge already, mine haven't learnt that yet Seriously, he does have one in his pen (his pen just happens to go around where the fridge is) but thankfully he hasn't learnt to open it yet.
  14. koalathebear - you should get a Turbo Chook from Home Alone - I bought one when I bought the hanging ball as well, and the hanging ball has been ignored while I have had three dogs at different times go nuts with this Turbo Chook! To those with dogs who are disinterested in their Kongs, do you put food in it? I only ever use Kongs for dispensing food (usually smear peanut butter or cream cheese inside and it take an hour for a greedy dog to get it all cleaned ) but they aren't a toy otherwise. I left the puppy this morning with a cardboard toilet roll and a pigs ear along with all his toys, squeaky and otherwise. Went inside to get ready for work and peeked outside .... he went straight for the cardboard toilet roll and was busy chewing that when I left go figure
  15. I was going to go home yesterday to check everyone was OK but didn't bother in the end. I think I worry too much sometimes I actually think it will get to 39 quite quickly today and then cool down a bit earlier .... there's even a bit of cloud cover out there now I leave the puppy outside under the patio in a large pen with a bed, fan, sandpit, bar fridge, clam shell pool, toys and chews. I seriously think it should be me out there with my Kindle The older dog gets to stay inside with the aircon on - although I didn't put it on today as the house is quite cool still. It's after a week or so of hot weather it tends to heat up. He comes and goes through the tiny cat door in the security door. Once the puppy is older and can be trusted to not eat me out of house and home, he will be given free range to come and go as he pleases as well.
  16. Mason, have you just changed your name again? When your lease is up in Ellenbrook, I highly recommend you move well away from that area!!! Freezing cold in winter and boiling hot in summer. Must be the worst place in Perth for weather edit: doh I remember now about your name change
  17. Bolt is gorgeous!! Glad he is settling in well! CC, I wouldn't be waiting to get in the pool!!! They are saying 39 degrees for tomorrow now .... chances are it will go higher like yesterday ..... think I will take the dogs to the river this evening.
  18. I have bought them from Best Friends and Animal Den american sites - the postage is expensive but I have bought lots of other stuff at the same time so it worked out a lot cheaper anyway.
  19. Can't see anything remotely like that happening if the sick dog wasn't taken to the vet and almost got a bullet. The problem is that if it's something toxic in the yard they could very well end up with 2 more dogs who die a horrible death. I agree but it doesn't sound like it really matters to owners who treat their dogs like that.
  20. Can't see anything remotely like that happening if the sick dog wasn't taken to the vet and almost got a bullet.
  21. The dog nearly got the bullet but got better before it came out Eta: I don't support or agree with this btw Nice owners. No vet. Poor dogs.
  22. It doesn't work on me either but I had a dog who had a fear of thunder, and I used Bush Flower essences on him with great success www.ausflowers.com.au
  23. Oh just look at that dear wee thing with a boo boo! :D She is so well looked after
  24. No big deal but I just went to the first page of this thread and it was started EXACTLY 12 months ago today! Happy First Birthday WA thread!! :D
