Cars Too High For Dogs To Jump Into

dee, I use a Solvit pet ramp but be warned, you have to take it with you in the car wherever you take the dog because as long as the dog is getting in and out of the car, you will need the ramp. Mine is telescopic and quite heavy (it would be 8 to 10 kg although I think they make them lighter now). I will get a pic for you tonight. -
Can I ask why? After having had two dogs with lowered immune systems (allergies, constant ear infections etc), I now prefer my dogs to have as few chemicals (including vaccinations) put into their bodies as necessary.

Mas, got your email earlier, just too darn busy at work to respond! I MUST go to A&D while on holidays. I bought 10 kilos of chicken frames yesterday. Gave the dogs one each last night and it wiped Paddy out for the rest of the night! Chicken coma

Poor Sophie If she is at all overweight, start slimming her now. Is she crate trained? That will help. Dougal has had both knees done and one was done twice so he's been through it three times, poor bugger. However, it's been 18 months since the last one and I don't even have him on supplements these days, he is doing SO well. Candice sees him regularly and she will tell you he doesn't even limp anymore so it's well worth doing!

Not that I would ever give a dog a C5 again but I'd be asking to see the expiry date on these vaccinations

Aww, sad eta - I sometimes have a buggerboo too!

Yeah I was going to leave it a day to see how it went and I am so glad I just made the decision to take him to the vet that day, we didn't even know what a hot spot was... Here is a face on pic Adorable!!! I have an 18 week old Goldie pup and he couldn't look more different! No where near as fluffy as your puppa!
-
Poor Snowy!! One thing I have learnt is that whatever you do, do it quickly and do not leave it thinking you'll see what it's like tomorrow or in a few days. They appear overnight and just get worse by the hour if you don't treat them straight away. Can we have a 'face on' pic now please

There's washed aggregate (rough textured finish) and then there's honed aggregate (smooth finish) .... Have a look HERE and click oon 'Imagecrete' on the right hand side. We use this at work. Expensive? You bet!

Anyone interested in some Agility Equipment?

A few months and it will be back to normal. I have a Goldie who has had both cruciates done, one twice - and his legs were shaved .... I found his hair grew back quite quickly - if you consider a few months later you would never have known he had his legs shaved - hip to toe almost! Good luck with the hot spots. We have had a few but none for a couple of years thankfully!

Oh, shame! Paddy is BIG! LOL! He is now jumping up onto the sofa and getting into trouble God he's adorable though, he has learnt everything so quickly, he is so smart! I'm amazed! I'll be back at Riverside next weekend, probably both Saturday and Sunday as we have our last Puppy Class this weekend. I have to say, Carolyn Read's Train-A-Pup-Time classes are fantastic. That woman really knows her stuff and she is brilliant with dogs and people. Can't recommend her highly enough! I am starting a puppy class with her this weekend! Excellent! You will love it! Please say hello to her from Paddy! (She won't remember me but she will remember Paddy )

So did I  Love your new sig Rally Valley!!!

When did he start limping? What was he doing right before limping? He was running around on wet grass with Phoebe at the park this morning. I would rest him for a few days at least and wait and see what happens (if it was my dog, but I know what you are like )

I had to do this less than 2 weeks ago. An SBT attacked my 17 week old puppy. We were happily minding out own business and this SBT just barged up and attacked. Stupid bogan owners ..... anyway the guy put his hands in his dog's mouth to try and pry it off my puppy's neck (he was on his back on the ground squealing) and thank god I kept my wits about me, I lifted the dogs back legs out and then high up and it let go. Guy got bitten. Hope he gets gangrene and his hand falls off. He kept saying his dog had never done this before (yeah right) and his girlfriend had a go at me about my wee puppy, with his puppy teeth, attacking their dog Their dog apparently attacked another dog on the way out from the grounds the same day. Thankfully my puppy came out with little injury and his temperament has stood him in good stead with no apparent lasting effects. But yes, lifting the back legs worked for me so I will vouch for the method!

Elderly Dog With Separation Anxiety
Golden Rules replied to kwirky's topic in General Dog Discussion
I had a dog with separation anxiety put on puppy Prozac. Worked wonders! But if your dog is just licking and not doing all the other usual things like barking constantly and destroying stuff when you leave, I would be inclined to think allergies rather than SA. -
You kind of feel you want to put your hands around the woman's neck and squeeze.
