  1. In a few weeks our kinder is getting a visit from the Responsible Pet Education Program so it will be really interesting as apparently they will work with the parents for 30 minutes and the kids for 30 minutes. I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be and informative half hour.
  2. That is why I have the chicken mesh. I am eyeing off the Diamond Mesh http://www.diamondmesh.com.au/ but I bet it isn't cheap. We looked at getting the Diamond Mesh for our place and holy cow it is pricey. I can't remember exactly but something like $650 for a roll of 50 meters. I could be remembering wrong though. We considered it for a while and decided to go with Borderline as we are only doing internal fences at the moment. Still looking at the Diamond Mesh for the boundary but there is someone down the road from us with it and it doesn't seem as strong as i thought it would as it snapped in half when a tree branch fell on it.
  3. Ringlock and electric. I find chicken wire is hopeless.
  4. It's coming up to 2 years since we lost our last dog to a snake. It's such a dreadful thing to happen and can be awfully quick. I had nightmares afterwards about snakes. I'm always worried now as we get so many snakes around here. RIP Molly.
  5. I only just read the update in OT. I'm so shocked.
  6. She's a gorgeous spotty. Wishing you good luck with her.
  7. I came in here looking for information about diabetes. Sorry to read about your little dogs Yellowgirl. Wishing you much success with your diet.
  8. My niece is stuck in the city cause the trains have stopped.
  9. Georgia can't even recognize herself. So i doubt she would recognize family members. She once saw her reflection in the glass on the tv cabinet as she was walking past and almost cleared the lounge in her haste to get away from the 'evil' dog.
  10. God that ad cracks me up. The first time i saw it i couldn't stop laughing.
  11. Wonderful news Jed. It was so nice to see your post i started crying.
  12. To be honest i would probably avoid the dalmatian. And i am saying that as a dalmatian owner. I would be leaning more towards a labrador or a poodle. Or what about a cocker spaniel?
  13. Yes they are the ones we saw as well. If only they came in dalmatian size.
  14. I saw some in the Reject Shop today. They were round beds with pouches over the top for snuggling into. The ones i saw were for cats though so you could definitely fit small dogs in there.
  15. Georgia (dalmatian) sheds a lot but it is short so not too bad. The only problem is the barbs that get stuck in everything making it difficult to remove just by vacuuming. Since we have had floor boards laid throughout the house it has been much better. The car and clothing are another story though.
  16. Who is sewing it togeter? Where do we send it? Can we just donate a piece of material for someone to sew up for us? I've never sewn a quilt in my life.
  17. I know it's not funny but i had to smile about Magnus. He sounds just like his owner. I believe there are pictures of Magnus in the cocker thread? I am sure he was wearing a hat. One of the cocker people may be able to find it. Come back Magnus you naughty boy! I keep coming back to see if there is an update. Stay strong Jed.
  18. OMG Jed hang in there. It would be a sad world without you in it. Praying for you and your family.
  19. I met a really nice overseas wheaten breeder last year who said that although they were great dogs that they weren't really a dog for everyone. They apparently needed a very devoted owner. He had some really funny stories to tell.
  20. What a poor puppy. Remembering what Georgia was like at that age just makes me sad for the poor thing. Hopefully someone committed to owning a dal buys him/her and they go to a loving home.
