  1. Hi, An interseting thread, I have a border collie who is turning 9 in April and he coat is the same if not worse. It all started after she had her last litter of pups and was desexed when she had her emergency c-section. her litter was born in jan 2008 and her coat has just gotten worse and worse, we took her to our vet and she had a thyroid test, and a full blood count. and nothing showed up so she was put on antibiotics and a steroid for 3 weeks and still it didn't work. we have tried different diet's, from a raw diet to an oily fishy diet, and also pro plan. still no change. have even had her on a multi vitamin and also tried eggs. If anyone has any ideas that would be great Sorry to hijack

  3. Hi, I am no expert but.. If he where my pup I would be supplementing with biolac, give him some biolac then put him back on mum. He should have put on a little weight by now and not losing it. Does his tummy looks full? and is he crying?

  9. hi 4 months is fine we don't let them go over the jumps until 6 months but there are still a lot of other things that u can do with her, we work on recall training, tug training etc. it is 2 dollars a weeks and after 2 weeks you can choose if it is for you or not. if you choose to stay we get you to pay an annual membership of $30, and then pay an annual fee of $25 to the australian flyball association to insure you are covered by insurance. the membership fee helps to buy new equipment etc. come along and give it a go the dogs love it and so will you. hope to see you. regards emilie

  16. My boy does not have a mean bone in his body he is such a sweet natured dog and is very well socialized with other dogs. we do flyball with him and have NEVER had and problem with him attacking other dogs. we have been out many times since the 2nd time he has peed on me and he has not done it again. hopefully it was just nothing.
  17. We where down at the park near the water the kids where swimming in the water and the dog was on the lead sitting nexted to me. My partner says to I think occy is about to wee on you I turn around as he was now behind me and he was cocking his leg before I could even say anything he pees on me.
  18. Only when we go out and has done it only twice in the last few weeks, I mainly would like to know why I he might be doing it? I am positive I am pack leader he always does what he is told and is submissive to me aswell.
  19. by submission I mean I make him sit and drop on my command and make him stay until I say he can move. desexing is not an option as he is a pedigree and will be used for breeding. I only ever feed them after we eat and he has to work for his food, he is not allowed on the lounge or beds, and I always enter and exit the door first when we go out.
  20. I have a 15 month old blue merle border collie and the past couple of times we have been out with him he always cocks his leg and wees on me. When he does this I make him submit straight away is it a dominace issue with him? he always prefers me over my partner and follows me everywhere does this have something to do with it? thanks in advance
