Oh Bec, thanks for sharing your story about Rocky with us. It has left my eyes watering. If any folks understand the close bond we have with our dogs you will find them here. Lovely! I knew it was Diwali because a local Indian curry and sweets shop has had crowds queuing up to buy the colourful sweets. They told me it was for the special Diwali holiday. I love the colours on the dogs. :)

Yes I'm not sure about the vet bit either Weasels but we have a favourite vet. It might handy for some of the features.

I presume you mean there are similar proposals in NSW unless you have moved to Victoria. I hear you too but I do think the lack of consideration for the Melbourne Zoo's animals is appalling but it is also a topic for another thread!

I best leave the breeders issues to the experts but given this thread by title is almost electioneering for the Victorian LNP I wish to say this: Maybe Labor and Daniel Andrews have their heart/s is in the right place regarding animal welfare but need more assistance in policy making from people with experience and knowledge in this area. They are not in office yet! At least they are opposed to the current Liberal government's, plans for a huge tunnel and freeway network in inner Melbourne that is planned to be right next to the Melbourne Zoo.
