  1. Neither do I. How scary for you Jimmay, glad you and your dogs are ok. I hope the others are too, in that situation I would have done the same I think. ETA For goodness sake Chewbacca would it be possible to cut down the multi-quotes on top of multi-quotes please? We don't need so many repeats of the same dialogue.
  2. There's a product called Troy Fly Repella Cream that repels them and also has antiseptic properties for any existing bites. I find it works well on my dogs.
  3. Just a thought - could you use the Royal Canin chunks or dry round bits as treats?
  4. Years ago I treated my old lab with homeopathic flea tablets for a few years. I wouldn't know where to get the same tablets now but all I can say is he never had a flea problem and after years on them he seemed to be almost immune to fleas, even without the tablets. I'd be interested to hear what others have to say and/or feedback if you do try them. It may be too risky though for ticks and heartworm where at least fleas won't kill a dog. Thanks for that link, I might try the grass allergy remedy as we live with that problem with two dogs and so far have only been able to 'manage' it.
  5. I'm so sorry for your loss. :D RIP beautiful Sahla.
  6. Happy Birthday Max. My Lab girl Bella turns 10 this coming September and yes I get emotional about it in between wondering how come those years seemed to go so fast. I always have to remember to seize the day, each day and appreciate each moment with my precious dogs.
  7. Lovely tribute. I'm sorry for your loss. May she RIP
  8. A warning with chicken necks but it may not happen to you; when I fed them to my Labrador he would swallow them whole and vomit them up later. I could only give him marrow bones because they were the only bones he could not swallow. He was such a super guts though.
  9. I'm sorry for your loss. I planted a Eucalyptus tree for my boy. It has grown well and is a healthy 5+ year old tree now. Somehow I find it consoling that it is his tree, I find it a peaceful place to reflect. I still have tears from time to time.
  10. I'm sorry for your loss persephone. RIP Molly.
  11. There was some mention on the television news tonight that the council had actually accidently caused them to escape by damaging the fence during some work they were doing outside the property. According to the report I saw they were only out for ten minutes then came back and the owners had no idea what they had done and of course are very sorry. A sad situation for all concerned.
  12. My thoughts are with you and dear Bella. I'm sorry for your loss and felt touched by your tribute. Take care as she would wish for you.

  15. I'm so sorry, what a sweet boy. That's a beautiful tribute. ;) RIP Toby, running at the bridge, free of pain now. You'll always be loved :D
  16. How horrible, I think that needs a bit more warning than is already given. I find that quite sickening.
  17. That's so very sad, my condolences RIP Bruce

  19. Hello, I had seen your thread earlier and am glad to hear the good news.
  20. A friend of mine has a large collection of old and valuable classic cars stored in a garage at Wagga Wagga , I'm not sure which part but I hope they are safe. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/wagga...6-1225965836757
  21. What a beautiful boy. Cherish the time left, your love will probably keep him here longer.
  22. I agree with persephone. After Heidi got pancreatitis I also researched here and everyone with a dog who had survived it was on a very low/no fat diet. All the advice as well as from my vet's seemed to be that. I was grateful for their advice to know there was hope for her if I managed it this way. It is a very serious condition which can be fatal. It is not something they 'get' and it goes away, it has to be managed for the rest of their life.
  23. Sending my condolenses on the loss of Jade. RIP little boy.
