  1. Same here, sorry to all who loved Willow.
  2. I'm sorry for your loss 3shepherds. It's extra tough losing them suddenly like that.
  3. That's a very lovely tribute MissyPriss . My condolences for the passing of your beautiful boy. 21 is an impressive age.
  4. One of my Labradors loves water the other does not. The one who loves it loves likes to come in to the bathroom when I have a shower and sits on the bath mat.
  5. Such a beautiful boy, I'm sorry for your loss.
  6. I live in your area but don’t know anywhere. I suggest you could ask at the Heritage Veterinary clinic in Sydney Road Coburg as they might have some local info/recommendations. Their no is 9386 1501.
  7. Thanks for sharing! Laughed and laughed at your pics and your dogs are beautiful.
  8. Or a Bonnie and Clyde. Congratulations, CJ looks so happy and proud.
  9. Great news! Just realised how many threads going on these girls as I had just posted in the Lost section one. It's my eldest Lab girl's birthday today (she turns ten) so we will have an extra doggy celebration.
  10. If it was on the ABC news I think it usually becomes available on iview later.
  11. How heartbreaking this is. I have flocked, shared on my FB page. Also passed on the info to someone who sponsors another forum I frequent, who lives near the region where the dogs went missing, as does his extended family. Fingers crossed for a safe return.
  12. Poor fella, he’s had a rough trot! One of my Labradors had severe pancreatitis and was on the Hills diet for the first year after that. Then, as part of allergy screening, I fed her kangaroo meat for about four months but she developed kidney failure (cause not known for sure but the kangaroo meat may have contributed to it). She has been ok for the last year now and I feed her Advance weight control that has only 5% fat as well as some rice and the occasional carrot.
  13. Sorry for your loss. RIP Puddin'
  14. I saw it tonight and loved it. Sad at times but it also had some good laughs. The star dog Koko was terrific. When I was a little kid my Grand-dad had a dog just like him called Trixie so I found it touching due to that as well. Here's a little clip of one of Koko's screen tests
  15. I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. RIP Denzil
  16. I'm sorry for your loss. Rest in peace little Jasper.
  17. Thanks for sharing your lovely tribute. I'm sorry for your loss. RIP Pretty Miss Emma.
  18. Sorry to hear this but hoping the best for your boy now. Sending our best healing wishes.
  19. Sorry to sort of go technical, but it's important that people know that Multiguard is definitely NOT non-toxic. It supposedly tastes bitter, so not as appetising as the others, but if enough is ingested it can most definitely be fatal. Thanks, I was of the belief it was safe as the product claims such. I deleted my comment and feel this is not the place to discuss it. My apologies.
  20. I'm so sorry Jules, that is so sad, I know I’d be devastated. There was something in the news a few weeks ago about people finding snail bait thrown into their yards (Northern suburbs Melbourne I think it was) but as you don’t suspect that I truly hope it isn’t the case. I even felt nervous seeing it reported incase it encouraged copycat behaviour by people who don’t realize how toxic snail bait is. Sending hugs and hope you and the others are ok. RIP Brock. edited to delete stuff on iron based snail bait
  21. No their canals are not especially narrow (they are Labradors). We manage with an occasional mild ear wash (diluted 1:50 Malaseb) and Dermotic drops, only when needed. The vet said I was managing them well considering. It still saddens me to see them get these troubles though.
  22. I'm sorry for your loss. RIP Whitey
  23. I agree with the second opinion. I think sometimes we can rush into things when it may not always be the best way to go. My dogs have continual inflamed ear issues due to a grass allergy. So far we can only manage it and keep them from getting too bad. Good luck with your dog's.
