  2. That was so funny. The rubbish has to hang on the wall at our place.
  3. I'm so sorry to hear this silentchild. Even though you knew she was on borrowed time it's never easy. She will live on forever in your heart. RIP sweet Emma
  4. I'm sorry for your loss gillybob. RIP Bob & Molly
  5. Has the vet discussed diet with you? My dog had pancreatitis a few years ago and recovered. She is now on a very low fat diet for life and doesn't require medication but Molly's case must be different. I hope you find more answers and Molly's condition improves. It could be worth getting a second opinion.

  14. I've got a nearly 12 year old Labrador that could hardly walk in winter last year due to her arthritis. The vet put her on Troxicol and Cartrophen injections and the combination helped her a lot. She is still having the Cartrophen every 3 months but I decided to give the Troxicol a break for summer and may try and only use it in the cold months. This will depend on how she goes as she gets older. The vet made me smile when he said she was the happiest dog he had seen for a while, and she is a very happy dog despite her arthritis. :)
  15. Why? They were good enough to send them once, isn't that enough?
  16. Good news, she has been found! http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/alert-psos-solve-dog-theft-mystery/story-e6frg6n6-1226575832841
  17. I just saw this... How awful for the owner She must be devastated. I notice that article was before the security footage was shown or known about. It was on the news tonight and you could see the guy walking off with her dog. Hopefully someone might recognise the fellow who took her and she is safely returned.
  18. Coincidentally on the news tonight was a story about a dog recently stolen from outside a supermarket. It was caught on security camera. Some bloke dragged a 10 month puppy away. http://www.3aw.com.au/blogs/breaking-news-blog/10monthold-puppy-stolen-in-front-of-coles-bentleigh/20130207-2e13m.html I had a Labrador that used to come everywhere with me, I'd leave him outside sometimes but only would choose shops and tether spots where I'd be able to see him. I don't do it with my two girls now.
  19. Ohh what sweeties. They look so relaxed too. :)
  20. I'm so sorry for your loss What a beautiful tribute and photo of her. RIP lovely Inka.
  21. I don't pat them but have been known to say 'hello gorgeous'. It's been very embarrassing when the owner thought you meant them though. Ha ha ha that's what you tell us. Hmmm, nice pick up line. I might try it.  I have been know to say the same and then add that the two legged one isn't too bad either. :D :D But it's usually the dog that is the better looking!

  23. Hi Inka, I'd gladly trade places with you as my girls are allergic to the grass at our place (Kikuyu). It would be too huge a job to kill the grass so I've had to fence them off from the lawn. Now they use a concrete driveway as well as a fairly big smooth pebbled area. However, it is an ongoing job keeping the urine odour down, especially during summer. Regular hosing, an occasional sprinkling of lime and/or white vinegar used carefully mostly works for that. I have been working on booties or socks so they could run on the lawn but they also love to roll on it! PS Every time I see your posts I think of Blocka, that lovely Rotti we helped many years ago. :)
  24. OK but I don't get the need to announce it. I must admit I don't read a lot of this forum though. Happy New Year anyway!
