Lol Herding guy you and i should never run a trainig seminar together they would be there till midnight lol I tend to get so enthusiastic and passionate i easily lose track of time poor summer school didnt get home till after dark last week. This is a great list do people mind if i use some of their comments un named in a handout for our club on what makes a good instructor. Hedds i agree reading the class and the dogs and handlers levels is a tough one knowing when to stop is an important tool too. I have just been writing up some stuff and thast one of the big things im finding hard to get across the need to break and give the dogs a rest is soo important. You learn so much more in short spruts of concentration than long dreary sessions whether you are human or dog yb -

Hi guys tricks this week Breakup next week at Heathers by the look of it so usual time but there is that right Heather this week i want to go over the tricks and then we may have a go at some of them Its fine if the tricks are perfect its all about having fun and learning and realise that even something that seems simple can actually be quite complex. Like the through the hoop and the dog being scared or not wanting to look away so that makes it hard to spin yb -

-
Hi Anne Yeah we will be doing the course together then i have chosen to do the assistance dog and taking classes as electives Now to twiddle the thumbs till May that seems such a long way away yb
-
Got my stuff today am in for May just have to send of the enrolment stuff yeah c'mon anne get in for Mey and then w can give HR a hard time together lol yb
-
I guess when you first see the cost of a course yout hink whoa but then i've spent thousands on education so to me its actually very reasonable considering whats involved and what you are getting yb
-
Ndtf has a distance learning but i think you still have to come down to melb for the practical stuff Thaks Anne Im working really hard to keep you guys happy. It been a big learning curve for me i am confident with the dogs its being able to pass the information n to the handler so they can then pass it on to te dog thats the hardest bit lol especially when everyone is an individual. the more we have ben working together the more i want to ge started on my course so i can pick the brains of all these people in the know yb
-
hi Anne you and me both taking this small grop is a lot of hard work and keeping on track is even harder lol But hey we're both getting there yb
-
Hi Anne hope we get to go through together that would be fun i agree with HR there is so much to be aware of when it comes to dog training and a course like this will certainly point you in the right direction yb

well another week done Im soo impressed with everyone and how hard they are working so far i have learnt heaps from you guys and am getting a lot of ideas I kno i will keep the next one strictly to five its a nice number and you can give good individual attention without too much waiting i know i will structutr things more granted ive been trying different styles each week to see what works for who but i w ill have more structure so each week builds on the previous. Its so important to be able to switch strateges and try different things and although have a format be individual each person and dog in the group is soo different they need different things and teaching styles. Im really enjoying watching you all learn and move forward and i love the fact that you dnt expect me to wave a magic wand Anne you and Jake are doing so well and jake i could big improvements in all areas Simone wow little Toby is certainly showing size dosnt count how good was his finding heel Jen what an improvement so much attention sam Gotta love Heidi what energy wish i oculd bottle it and sell it but shes smart too and that was a big break through wit the running away game jodi Mia is coming along very well keep up wit the foundation work and she will be astart later on Tracey it was so good to see Beck come out of his shell he is such a happy boy when he relaxes -
hmm but she doesnt have long hait and only grow to 33 cms lol
-
Lol your as bad as be im usually up by five and have the dogs walked trained and setteled before the family stirs. Ive always been an early started nothing nicer than going for a walk wtching the dawn turn to day listen to the birds awaken and smelling he fresh air even in surburbia enjoying the quiet of early mornning is the best way to start the day. Too much time on farms lol Nowf i could just get the family to see it that waylol yb Looking forward to Saturday have lots to fill you in on
-
WEll i have to be up at 6am to get there that early lol. Hey Herding guy i think ive found a perfect pup your old dogs line with an american dog heaps of personality in both parents a little of connors line in the mix that could work lol yb

Yup cool i remeber we said Saturday hehe now to convince hubby that we really have to drive over to Tulla for herding traininglol. yb
