I can't read!

No worries. We will all look forward to seeing pics of your new puppy when she arrives! Very jealous

Here is me holding Poppy at 7 weeks. Its a similarly posed picture. I agree with what everyone else has said, good decision on withdrawing your deposit. I'm sure the breeders on here will be happy to recommend someone for you

And a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is one of the ones that won't. Would you stick it outside anyway and let it deal with it? It's just a dog right. Much the same as the family car hey.

Trixie Possibly Has Cancer
GotAnyBlacker replied to ruthless's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Holy cr@p! That looks awful. Poor Doggies. I hope they both recover really quickly and their tests come back fine! -
I wasnt intending on being judgemental, I was trying to be informative. Most people won't have a problem with your dog sleeping outside or being an outside dog if it is your preference, but the breed you have chosen is not an breed best suited to being an outside dog. When posting on an open forum you can't expect all responses to be exactly what you are after and you can't stop people posting their own personal opinion on topics, but you can choose to listen or not to listen of course.

PPS and Teebs know what they are talking about Is there any reason you can't at least let your dog sleep in the laundry even when it is grown? Staffords really feel the cold and are total sooks so especially during winter they should at least sleep in the laundry. Whenever I bring home baby puppies I set up their crates in the lounge room with a blanket over them and a nice snuggly bed on one half, but also the other half covered in newspaper to make accidents easier to clean up. You can also attach a puppy pen to the crate so the pup has a little space for exercise during the day but you can close the crate door at night time and you're not supervising. My girls sleep in their own beds in our bedroom and are really well behaved inside as I have taught them what is and isnt appropriate behaviour.

(uk) Eleventh Hour Mercy Plea To Save Death Row Dog Bruce
GotAnyBlacker replied to shel's topic in General Dog Discussion
I found that video very hard to watch. Great Video. I have anti BSL stickers on my car and see many people reading them when I'm stopped at traffic lights. I hope Bruce gets a last minute save and all the other dogs on death row. -
Paul Bosboom at Colonel Light Gardens Vets is really good and I always take my dogs there even though I live in the hills.

Trixie Possibly Has Cancer

Poppy also has a pea sized lump on the top of her right forearm. The vet also said to keep an eye on it and I've been getting them to measure it everytime we go back in there for other things. Its about 1.2cm at the moment. They also stuck a needle in it and told me it was fat...? Its been there for a long time. I still don't like the look of it regardless. I hope trixie is fine and its nothing ruth. -
When my girls were little I left them in the laundry when I went out and put paper down for them to go to the toilet on. They always used the paper except if they had an accident and couldnt get to it fast enough. Much easier to clean up with paper down and they don't like to soil their own sleeping area. Make sure they have somewhere snuggle to when outside like a kennel with bedding and shelter from the wind etc where the pup can hide and have a nap. Please post some photo's for us when you get Vinnie. What colour is he? I will be getting a red & white pied boy for my next stafford and calling him Merlin Where are you getting him from?

Wow totally cute puppy

I haven't made up my mind about marion animal hospital as yet. I had Teddy desexed there and he only had one ball so they had to have a look around as well and open him up and that got infected and I had to take him back the next day and he was very very sick. They kept him in for the week and didnt charge me (probably cause the first bill was huge anyway) and let us visit him everyday. The Vet was very nice and they were very accomodating and it was nice of them not to charge us for his weeks stay

For a name: Not sure why but Sabbath just popped into my head

I got one of these for 9.95 from dealsdirect.com.au and $6 postage. The girls don't like the noise and they're not much good for trimming any substantial amount from the nails. Better just for smoothing off sharp edges or points etc, doesn't do much else really. The girls don't like it anyway.

We always go to Colonel Light Veterinary Clinic, even after we moved 15 minutes away. There is a vet 2 mins away from my house, but I always go to colonel light, especially for operations. They're the best vet I've been to so far and have a good reputation. The vets are really nice and they're a bit cheaper than other vets I've been to as well, but not cheaper in service!

We were looking at them in Petstock on Sunday and they have large, XL and Super Large. Superlarge says it fits a great dane..not too sure about that though. We are thinking about getting one but Super large is $399 and XL is $369 so thats alot of money. We'd have to get Super Large for Teddy in case he wants to use it as the girls would probably only need large, but Teddy won't even go through a half open door most of the time, so I don't know if he'd use it?

Very cute! I love her little crate setup. Pink for girls

Goodbye Roxy, we'll all miss you and your mum won't know what to do without you. Run free and without pain miss piggy. (See post in general for details).

Liver is OK if eaten with fava beans and a nice drop of chianti thsthsthsths My girls don't like liver. I tried to feed it to Poppy one time and she put it in her mouth and spat it straight out again and gave me a death stare like how dare I give her that horrible food haha I'll have the wine though

Tuffie toys are pretty good. Daisy eats everything I give her eventually (destroyed a cuz toy in minutes) but the tuffie toys take her a couple of months to chew and she loves them to death. www.dogtoys.com.au (doler) sells them. Also I get the enduro balls from www.vetproductsdirect.com.au and they're also quite long lasting. THere are a few threads on heavy duty toys so do a search to get some more ideas.

Separation Anxiety With Multiple Dogs
GotAnyBlacker replied to CBL's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Teddy used to do that when we got him if he was alone and he still would probably do it if left alone outside so I leave him inside and even when he's alone he's ok because he's inside, which seems to make a difference. I usually leave them all together inside though, but I don't like to leave him outside as he's a pain in the butt and will bark at the dogs next door and dig holes to get under the fence to them! -
oh, I feed that to Teddy and Daisy and Poppy gets the low fat one cause she's a piggy. What is a good food to feed instead of this? Why is it crap? Did they take out the meat and fill it with rubbish or something? If its crap I want to buy something else.
