  1. Why don't you call the Purina Pet Care line and talk to them about it. The Beneful sold here is made in Blayney NSW and the vast majority of the raw ingredients are sourced from Australia.
  2. Thanks!! How sturdy are they? I have 60kg of dog!
  3. Same scenario here with our two - with dandruff to boot unfortunately I know when it comes down to it BH is a business, but I must admit I was a tad disappointed to see a huge promotion for it in Pets Parasites today I'd heard good things about Evo which I'm led to believe was a PP only product until recently, so there's really not much that's turning me away from giving that a try now I think I can safely say that out of all the Major brands of pet food available in Australia, Artemis is the only 1 that you will not find in a pet shop selling puppies & Kittens. Thanks for the "heads up" regarding Artemis. I was unaware of that & I am very pleased that they don't. I am dead against anything with a heartbeat being sold in a Pet Shop. I was going to give Artemis a try with my guys too as they have a new grain free variety available & see how they go as they are quite fussy at times :) I am not sure if this is true or not, but I was told once, that under the Rules of the Dept of Fair Trading, it is unlawful to refuse to sell your product to a business that has an ABN number. Something to do with with the Restrictive Trades Act. So if a certain pet shop wants to buy a certain product, legally, there is nothing the manufacturer can do. No it is not true. A manufacturer can decline to supply anyone it chooses. It is called Refusal to Deal. http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/816206
  4. Are you all using the actual BSB or a copy?
  5. Hi Am looking for any feedback on quality back seat hammocks like the Back Seat Buddy. Also - has anyone use things like these seat extenders? https://shop.kyjen.com/kyjen-outward-hound-extend-a-seat-black.html Thanks.
  6. They're great for obedience work. I know the girls at DogLogic and they're lovely. I did their class 4 years ago and found it great as they don't let it be a free for all play session.
  7. FYI - policies are an annual policy so you will need to either keep paying monthly or pay out the remaining months before they cancel if you've made a claim in that policy year.
  8. Don't run out as I order in good time. If I haven't for some reason then the pet shop that stocks it too is open until 7 so I can get it on my way home. Worse case scenario I'd grab a bag from work. If I fail at all of the above I'd stop and buy mince and chicken wings at the supermarket.
  9. They may eat all the food but if the dog was stressed, they can burn off fat quickly.
  10. I literally ran into her the other day at Ikea. Saw her work top that said Animal Physio and stopped her to ask where she worked!
  11. I have used Sydney Animal Physio - she does accupuncture too. I was recently given the name of a chiro on the Northen Beaches - Clara Palm. About to look at the one at Homebiush myself.
  12. I fed porridge after a gastropexy. Made it with water in the microwave and then cooled it down and made it runnier with rice milk.
  13. If it wasnt your dog and you're relying on information being told to you and without knowing the facts then I'd be careful about bad mouthing the kennel to others as it could be seen as defammatory.
  14. No - now would a vet know about the insurance until you hand over the form at the end? And why? Easy enough to look at itemized bills.
  15. Can people not make comments like that? If you have an issue then take it to the Council as the legislation covers cats too.
  16. Why tell them to take it to the pound! The cat is not a stray etc. it's home is well known. How would you like it if someone trapped one of your animals and took it to the pound - and then having to rely in the pound to scan it etc and hope they're not full and don't PTS before you find it?? If there is an issue then contact the Council and they will deal with it.
  17. Planter box and get some rolls of turf from Bunnings and lay it. Saves growing time!
  18. I am always amused by the shopping around for cheaper vet prices. I go to my vet because he is a damn good vet and his care is excellent. I would not go to another vet simply because they can vaccinate my dog for $5 less or desex for less. It is about the quality of the care not the cost of it.
  19. Have to admit a sale with only 5% discount is not really appealing!
  20. Thank you HW!! I was also going to add that taking 1 photo does not amount to harassment and people like MUP need to stop giving out misinformation!
  21. Watched the cutest BB pup take puppy in group tonight. Such a funny little thing! 5 plus years of going to dog shows (and being in Group 7 and all), I still reckon I've only seen around 20 different BB.
  22. But don't forget that insurance is there as a just in case - it is no different than any other aspect of your life that you insure. To be honest I get more out of my pet insurance than my own health insurance! There is no entitlement or absolute right to it if your dog is ill/ injured - you still have to fit within the policy limits.
  23. Have had pet insurance for around 6 years - over 2 dogs and a cat - with RSPCA (Hollard is behind it) and never have had an issue getting claims processed and paid promptly. This included with a chronically ill dog with numerous claims over an extended period. It has certainly paid for itself many times over.
  24. Hit a nerve or something?? Didn't realize you had to resort to name calling. You missed the point - as I don't tolerate such demanding behaviors, I don't feed at the same time every day - some days I don't even feed dinner at all. And no - mine don't time my going and coming from work - I mix up my morning routine and generally come home at different times every night. Routine is not always a good thing as it can lead to anxiety behaviors if that routine is not adhered too.
  25. Don't tolerate that behaviour! Gets fed when I decide it's time to be fed.
