Hi Freckles No we haven't taken him to the park etc. We took him to the RSPCA for a check up but thats it.

Yeah. He chews alot its hard to observe it all in the garden. Chews on a bit of tanbark spits it out, Eats dried leaves sometimes. Do you think he may have eaten some nasty plant ?

Hi All Poos are normal and he has done his buisness thorough out the day. Maybe he is also mentally tired since I did fit in a training session in. He was tired before that though. We will just have to see ! It's just that the change was so rapid it was unexpected ! I have just left the food and water in the corner if he is hungry overnight. Normally he chomps through his food in minutes ! Also he has not spewed

Another BIG concern is he has hardly eaten his lunch and will not eat dinner ? I am becoming very concerned. Is this natural ?

In the morning he was bright and active and by lunchtime he was a sleep and when we got home he was still a sleep ! Should I be alarmed or is he beginning to settle in. The last four nights have been rough he begins barking in the early morning about 1 am and then after that every 2 hours for about 15-25 minutes. Do you think he is really tired today due to four nights of uneven sleeping ? Or should I be getting a vet to check it out ?

Yeah I think I taught him to sit ! Then he stopped doing after 15 minutes ??? I shook his toy in front of his face and the walked to a designated spot where I hid the toy behind my back. I said SIT and when the but hit the ground I pressed the clicker and gave him his toy. Is that correct ? He lost interest after 15 minutes. I heard that they get bored.

Hi All I took Oslo to the vet and he is perfectly fine.

yeah.... We played with him alot yesturday and he went to sleep early. He woke up at 12 am. Then we had the dreaded beagle yelping night that I fear of lol. This time, play with him at night to tire him out and so we all can have a peacefull night's rest

Hi Just to clarify things. The hippity hopping only happens when he runs and he hippity hops while he runs. I saw one beagle at the pet shop with it ?

HE STOPPED NIPPING. Yelping as gotten better. From 15 minutes of yelping down to 3 minutes ! I am worried about the stuff he has consumed in the garden like leaves, accidently put a rotten nashi pear in the mouth. Thankfully he spat it out ! Also his back legs. They look a little bit bent in and when he runs there are little hippity hops in between. Is that normal ?

Hi Sadly no. But he will have all weekend to spend with me. My family and I are staying home all weekend to learn more about him. He is very intriguing ! He is 8weeks 3 days currently.

Hi I finally recieved my new beagle. When I picked him up from the airport he seemed all quiet and tired and slept on the car trip. When we got him home he began to explore and we bathed him since he had poo all over him. Then for the next 2 hours his energy level jumped and we were left with a super active dog. He became nippy and we gave a firm No and sometimes he would listen while other times he was oblivious to my commands !! Please Help Me ! He bagan yelping and we did what people said, ingnore him and he stopped. I want a nice trained obedient beagle !! Puppy preschool is not for another 3 weeks. What can I do to keep him occupied while I am at work 8:30-3pm ? How do I get him to poo in one spot ? How do I stop him from being hyperactive ? How do I stop him biteing everything ? Please help. He is so cute but is proving hard. He is a fast learner when he wants to be. Just got him today lol. Beaglenewb

Thanks OOnga You sound like me in so many ways..everything must be perfect it all has to fit in or you don't fell content with something till you get a zillion thumbs up. You do not make a step untill you know its in the right direction.

I am thinking of either Busismann or RSPCA's puppy preschool program. Any experiences with these schools ?

Yeah....I don't want him too be too old...I wanna get him in young and ripe since they said that pups can absorb alot of information if you try

Also should I wait till after his second vaccination before puppy preschool ? Or is first vaccination ok. First vac is the minimum requirement for entrance. Both preschools I want to attend are both indoors

I really want to go to southern seems really good. It's just the distance that is a problem. If only they relocated to Burwoood East. What about the vibe about Knox Obedience ? Friendly Vibe ? Beaglenewb

Hi Tollersown Thanks, but I am not the best trainer, I really would like help in assisting me to teach my dog commands and tricks and to be well behaved. Also socialisation is a MUST !!!!

Thanks ....yeah they are a cheaper alternative and with so many raving reviews why wouldn't I give it a try. Leopuppy...you think so it looks professional, how far do you think it is from RSPCA Burwood East ?
