  1. hi what part of melb are you from Hi guys, The French Bulldog Club of Victoria are having a Fun Day at Kepala Pet Resort on the 20th October. More details will be available closer to the time. Keep an eye out on the FBVC Facebook Page for the details. Last year we have over 30 Frenchies in attendance and it was an awesome day.
  2. Introducing my Rising Star - Billie So far we have had 2 Baby In Groups and a big Baby Sweepstakes win.
  3. RIP Lily cat (aka Killer cat) No more commando style attacks when I walk past the kitchen table now. No more little paw trying to steal the dogs food out of the bowls as their meals are being made up. Who am I going to trip over in the kitchen now? Silly Lily cat, you were a pain in the bum one minute, attack cat the next, with moments of niceness - that's just who you were Rest easy Lily cat
  4. That's disgusting and downright nasty! I'm a bit confused, what part of the crime stoppers article is bogus? It was not the crime stoppers article that was bogus, it was another supposed lead given by someone who frequents DOL which was utter bs.
  5. That's disgusting and downright nasty! It is more than that..... she knows who she is and I hope she reads this - and be thankful that I cannot personally go and tell her how angry and disgusted I am that in such a time like this she can create bull****, which unfortunately had peoples hopes up for a short period of time.
  6. YAY we get Gertie and Tigger(?) cuddles - can't wait
  7. Ok, I have woken them up except now they want to play efs
  8. Bulldust, No thanks needed Your babies are fast asleep with full bellies as I type this.
  9. Teebs, When the little cherubs wake up I will take some photos for you
  10. Teebs, The babies are here with us ;) They are all doing well.
  11. We have left a message on Bulldust's phone to let her know the babies are settled and happy. Excuse the poor quality of the photo, it was taken on my mobile. Thought I would post the photo in case Bulldust does manage to get on DOL. Here is the contented brood.
  12. The crates were delivered to Bulldust early hours this morning and the babies are safe here with us. Thoughts are very much with Bulldust and hope that she can be reunited with her babies soon.
  13. Moko, is there a particular reason why you don't allow ties in British Bulldogs? Is this the norm for BB breeders? Or is is something that only a handful of breeders do? Just curious as I have not come across breeders in general, who do not allow their dogs to tie.
  14. Our last litter whelped in spare bedroom, which is directly off our family room. Baby gate accross the door. Heated whelping box. Central heating vent closed in the room to avoid direct draught and to avoid drying the air out too much. Central heating left on over night in the rest of the house so warm air filtered through. Room temp was a constant average of 26 degrees for first two weeks. Slept in the room with mum and bubs for first 3 weeks. As soon as their ears were open, a noise CD (Crash Bang Wallop) was on as background noise, very low to start with and volume increased daily.
  15. I have received text message enquiries for my current litter as well. In all instances I have replied with "Please phone me to discuss your enquiry about our puppies". Surprise, Surprise, none of them rang back. I ended up putting No Text Message Enquiries next to my mobile number in the advert.
  16. Bonduca, your babies sure have blossomed A few pics of our babies Miss Pink Miss Gold Mr Light Blue Mr Maroon Mr RedSpot Miss Gold again
  17. Mercedes, My rotty whelped a litter of 13 in April, her total weight gain was 11kg - pups weighed from 228 to 354 grams. Her weight at the time of mating was 40kg, and her weight post whelping was 39.5, she was all baby
  18. I received the email too and I sure as hell am not on any RSPCA database.
  19. My litter is now 6 weeks old, but they have been spending their days outside since 5 weeks of age. They are in an undercover area, have kennels for shelter and warmth if needed. They enjoy running at full speed through their tunnel in the rain. As long as they have an area to escape the elements (wind, rain, sun) they should be fine.
  20. Ummm sorry but that is against the rules of ANKC. The breeder must transfer the papers. The breeder you got your dog from just saved themselves some money by having you pay for it and if they did this with every pup (especially in large litters) they are getting away with a small fortune. There is also no way to know for sure that the new owners have done the transfer, which if not the dog is still technically in the breeders name and can be blamed if anything happens. I give a copy of the pedigree in the pups folder and the original pedigree is sent out to them in a few weeks. Have never had a problem doing it this way and have never had buyers question me. Have been doing it this way for 16 years. Leanne Ozstar, in Victoria, the initial puppy registration must be in the breeders name. The transfer of the reg papers is up to the new owners. Thanks for clarifying that Zed-N-Q :D I was getting worried after reading Oztars post that I might be breaking the rules. When I bought my puppies, I received the papers with the back bit of it signed by my breeder for the transfer, it was up to me to first of all become a member of Dogs Vic & then pay the transfer fees.I have every intention of doing the same thing for my puppy buyers, so its good to know that I am doing the correct thing for Victoria & not breaking the rules. I sent in my litter registration form to Dogs Vic last week, so I hope to get them back in time to give to the puppy buyers on the day of collection. :D Baileys Mum, Here are the Victorian Rules Regarding Litter Registration 4.1.3.4 A member shall not be entitled to effect the initial registration of a dog unless that person is the breeder of such dog and is the registered owner of a Prefix and is a resident of the State. 4.4.1 An application for the transfer of ownership of a registered dog shall be made on the reverse of the Certificate of the dog’s Registration. For dogs sold within Australia, the new owner is responsible for the lodgement of the application for transfer of registration

  22. I have a litter on the ground at the moment from frozen semen. Post thaw motility of 83%, produced 13 babies with a maiden bitch. I know plenty of fellow breeders who have recently also used frozen semen, and all post thaw motility was around the 80%.
  23. Stef_83, is Saffron desexed? If not had she had a season as yet? Bitches can get very sooky and clingy before their first season.
