Well done Michelle! Good boy Zinger Great day for WA dogs at the Royal today, BOB Dobe & Silky as well
-
Just ordered 4, and I don't even have a dog to show at the moment!! Oh well, they'll be here when I do....
-
So very sorry Kirty No more pain Phoebe, run on strong legs over the Bridge
-
So sad Was it by eating bait directly or by eating a dead mouse?
-
Yes people, read the fine print... but more importantly, don't screw people over in the first place so they may be forced to use this clause to have any hope of getting the money they are owed!!

Buzz (Whippy) and Bob (Cat) playing tag... Gonna get ya, kitteh! Half time, change sides... Those pics were taken when Buzz was a bubba, they don't really play chasey anymore.. Buzz came from a breeder who socialised him with a cat, other adult dogs, kids and a pet Magpie Bob Cat came to us as a 9yr old rescue, and is just fantastic with the dogs. He & Buzz are great mates, and spend lots of time sharing a bed. Just because a dog is a Sighthound does not automatically mean cats are fair game

The Deerie went BIS :D

So sorry Mason Take comfort though in the fact they get to go peacefully at home - it made a huge difference to me when I had to say goodbye to my boy just over a year ago. Thoughts are with you & your family xx

Evac centre is Armadale Arena on the corner of Townley & Forrest Roads, might pay to give them a call first and check to see what they need now, the number for the Arena is 9399 5065

Oh my God. Just got back from the evac centre in Armadale, dropped off supplies & dog, cat & bird food, as well as bowls, litter trays, collapsible crates etc. SO MANY people, and lots of dogs... Most people I spoke to are hoping to keep their four-legged friends with them at the moment, can't say I blame them. It's just so utterly overwhelming there at the moment, I can't really describe it Wish I could help more, going to pick up Whipitgood's two girls shortly and will bring them here till they get sorted, happy to have more if anyone is is need... my mobile no is 0403 866 741 (number is on my website etc so not worried about posting it here ) Hoping everyone's friends and family stay safe, and that no more property is lost...

This is just bloody awful... fire is my worst nightmare. Really worried about one of my regular boarding customers, they live just 100m or so away from Old Coach Place on Brookton Highway... been trying to get hold of them with no success yet We also have kennel space available should anyone have family, friends or neighbours who need places for their dogs during these fires, also have crates available to lend out should anyone need them. Stay safe everyone

Big congrats Gayle, Shae looks lovely! Hayley & Tim have some lovely dogs

That's good, I've seen some that jump at every noise / movement - but then there are dogs like that in many breeds. Is LEwis going to be the sire? You can start the basics anytime, just no full height jumping / obstacles until 12 months + Things like sit stays, recalls, flat work (going around in circles and rewarding the dog for being next to you and not crossing behind), hand touches, target touches, 2 on 2 off contacts (can use a step or piece of board). Some of us train at ACWA which offers classes from puppies to trialling level, Tuesday nights at K9. You're in Canning Vale aren't you? Yep, I'm just in the Canning Vale kennel area... are classes back on now? Sound perfect! Might have to wander down on a Tuesday night and have a squizz ;)

Hey ST, it HAS been ages! Hope to catch up soon, I haven't been showing much recently either. Not sure you'd fit Buzz under your jacket these days, he grew a little bit!! but he'd certainly give it a go...

LOL, Buzz is trying to convert the whole world into Whippet owners, 1 cold nose prod at a time :D Amypie & ST, Buzz says Hi! RS, I got your PM and sent a reply yesterday, you are more than welcome to meet the mad one - he looooooves making new friends! Question for all you agility peeps: when would be a good time to start the basics with my boy, and where/when do you all train? Buzz has a certain amount of, how shall I put it, natural aptitude (read: jumps my patio fences like they arent there from a standstill, and if he has a running start could just about clear the house I think! )... he loves to retrieve/tug and is pretty good with instant recall at home (haven't tried anywhere else yet though ;)) and so I'm thinking I might have to pursue a sports career of some description with him. I haven't seen the inside of a trial ring since oh, approx. 1994 so class me as a rank beginner ;) All suggestions gratefully received! Happy New Year everyone! (yes, I know it's a bit late but haven't been in here much...)

Thanks so much everyone for your posts and PM's - have passed them all along! Love DOL!
-
Oh Cas, I am so sorry. Huge hugs to you & Ben... what an awesomely naughty, loveable goat he was. Try not to eat the Rainbow Bridge Donkey, safe travels.

Thanks Diva will pass all info along and I guess they'll just have to check them out for themselves. Thanks for all the PM's as well everyone!

As per the topic title, I am looking for any recommendations of good boarding kennels in and around Canberra for one of my very regular clients who has been transferred for work Absolutely gorgeous people and even more gorgeous dog - extremely happy, social, sweet, well-behaved Beagle x Cavalier girl. We will miss them very much, and I have no hesitation recommending them as clients. Replies on here or via PM would be most appreciated!

Fingers crossed that Jag is OK - haven't had a chocolate poisoning myself although my Whippet pup did manage to steal some white chocolate fairly recently - at the time I did find this link that a DOLer posted some time ago extremely helpful http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2007/10/...nteractive.html Hope all is well! Dark chocolate is one of the worst

Having met the two Princesses earlier this year, I can vividly picture just how traumatic this event must have been.... ;) I imagine the medicinal beverages were flowing thick and fast - just to relieve stress & pain levels...

I still can't do this...
