I came across this on an online shopping website I subscribe to... Not sure if these are good prices or not in today's market as it's been many years since I have bought a MP brush (and I have not much need for one these days! ;) ) but thought some of you might like to check it out anyway... http://www.dalani.com.au/home.php?cat=486&utm_source=sale-newsletter&utm_medium=da-newsletter&utm_campaign=sale-nl-20120220

Jerry is happy to hand out the cuddles :D This was taken last night, he decided that Anne's lap looked comfy and hopped on - he was in heaven when she covered him up with a jacket!!

Congrats Mirawee & Miss Floofy Bottom! I didn't stay to watch the finals - as soon as Jerry & I were knocked out I was out of there, that wind was horrendous!! Have never been so glad not to win anything Gr 4 was in the opposite ring to the rest of you so I didn't get to see anyone other than Anikka (and that was just being lucky enough to look over at the right time!) but ST & RV I hope you guys had fun :) Of course dashing off early meant I didn't get scores either - does anyone know if we can get them afterwards from somewhere?

Not speaking with any form of authority or experience in puppy vaginitis whatsoever, but is it similar to thrush in humans? If so, might be worth trying probiotics - Inner Health Plus works absolute wonders for thrush I've found... within 24 hours all symptoms completely subsided. Good luck!

So sorry Loraine - fly free Zedley

We lost two dogs this year... Mushti came to us as a boarder in March this year when her elderly owner was taken into full time care and could no longer keep her... it quickly became apparent that there were no other options for this grand old Akita lady and so we brought her into the house where she spent the last four months of her life being a very much loved part of our family - we all adored her, humans & dogs alike, and it broke our hearts to give her her wings when her body finally failed her Rest well our gorgeous Mushi girl - we love you.. Moose - my big gentle giant. Far too young to go, we lost our big boy to GI Lymphoma at 5 years old. He was the most noble & gentle of dogs, always so tolerant (especially when that evil Frenchie would hang off his jowls like a black & white tick) and a true gentleman. He was mine from the day he was born, and he has left a huge hole in my heart. He is missed every day by all of us, but especially by Chevy, our other Dogue I hope you & Kapper are having fun at the Bridge - both my boys back on Magpie Patrol again. How I miss you my big boy - loved always Hugs to all who have lost a friend this year

Yep, the two seem to go hand in hand... especially with a change of season - we see loads of dogs with itchy skin & bad ears.
-
Ears - we use Malaseb medicated shampoo 1:25 with water to clean ears - works an absolute treat! A Poodle breeder/exhibitor told me about this years ago and it does an awesome job :D

Tell Banjo I'll take him up on that!!! Many moons ago I had a Kelpie "visitor" for a few months to show, he was an absolute delight to have around and I loved showing him! He was the other boring colour though ;)

I provided copious amounts of coffee while Mr Poo-Fong made it Seriously, he made up a frame of four pieces of pine to fit around the outside to hold the two crates together, mitred the corners and fixed them together. Then he used a router (I think?) to cut a notch along the top edge just wide & deep enough to flush mount timber planks into it for the top. Glued & nailed it all together and hey presto! Originally we stained the pine but as our decor in the house changed I rubbed it back and painted with white semi-gloss. It was quite cheap to make & fairly easy if you are moderately handy or know someone with a little know-how (Mr PF is by no means a carpenter but is just generally fairly handy to have around :D)

My dogs LOVE their crates. It is their den, their bed, their sanctuary and it means I can always provide my dogs with a means to feeling secure & happy, whether we are at home or not :D In regards to making them look a little more attractive, if you are somewhat handy you could make up a table top for it and use it as a piece of occasional furniture My lovely hubby made the top in the pics below to go over our two original crates, haven't got around to making something for the other two yet but anyone who comes here kinda knows already that this is a dog house Ignore the knockers - your dog will thank you for it

PM'd you :D

Thinking of you Boxagirl & Bondi - hope she can stay as comfortable as possible for as long as possible.

Don't do it!! I have been stung in exactly this situation - bought a large breed bitch puppy from an interstate breeder, had been advised of the father's hip score (which was a bit higher than the average (18) for the breed) and the breeder told me she was waiting for the mothers results to come back... I, somewhat stupidly, believed her when she told me the x-rays looked fabulous and that all would be well, expecting a really low score. After several MONTHS of nagging with no reply, I finally got her to answer the question and it turned out the mother's hips were scored at 40!! Of course, it was all the scorer's fault  I was completely devastated, but all I could do was wait to get my girl x-rayed & scored when she was old enough. She came back with an amazing hip score all things considered (total of 9, waaay below the breed average) but unfortunately her elbows were 3:3 I desexed her and she is now living the life of Riley as a spoilt pet, but it was extremely traumatic at the time. Yes it was my fault for going ahead, but you live and learn... It really isn't worth the risk & the heartache - I would never take someone at their word again... make the decision when you can see the scores in black & white. Of course it's no guarantee that something won't go wrong but it's the best we can do. Good luck!

We get turkey necks from Woolies here in WA. The last ones I got were HUGE!!!!! One of my Whippets had NFI what to do with it, it was as long as he was Maybe it was an Emu neck instead?? ;)

Tracy is terrific! Jerry's being seeing her for exactly the same thing as Ruby (sore shoulder going diagonally across to his hind leg)over the last couple of weeks and he ADORES her! Has nothing to do with the treats she gives him, I'm sure... Tracy also bought my old boy Kapper () a few more weeks of comfortable life before things got to the point of no return I think she is awesome :D Hope the girls are much better soon! :D
