  1. Glad someone got my luck coz it sure as hell wasn't with me!!! Home again now and still no sign of my bloody suitcase, not happy Jan I have a nice piccy of Hounder and her brag on my camera (along with Woger photos ), do you think she'd mind if I posted it here? Thanks for making me feel so welcome Ellz & Clan Rajacadoo-doo-doo, it was great to meet you!
  2. Me too... was so hoping she'd be found by now ;) C'mon Flame, hurry up and come home... you've got till Saturday when I get there, would love to see you & have cuddles...
  3. Oh no... I'm too far away to be of any practical assistance but will spread the word to anyone I think may be able to help...
  4. I've also borrowed another DOLer's candle avatar - hope thats ok. Keep the lights shining.
  5. Will be lighting a candle at 9pm here in WA as well... Stay strong and fight Jane, and may the light from all these candles and the wishes from so many who are thinking of you give you strength and support - you are not doing this on your own. All our love, Claire & the furkids here in Perth xoxox
  6. So very sorry for your loss... run free gorgeous Ashke
  7. There are no words that seem even close to being adequate right now... tears are flowing for Jed and her lost family, and especially TBCITW - it was palpable how much she loved him and all her other dogs with every post she wrote. Hang in there Jed, the others still need you, as do we... Donation made which is about all I can do to help from over here. Wish I could do more
  8. I feel sick. I can't imagine how horrifying that would have been, fire is my greatest fear Donation made, I so wish I could do more to help. All my love and healing thoughts are with you Jed - I am so very sorry for your losses.
  9. Absolutely agree that there can be the same chances of getting a dog with medical issues from an ethical, registered breeder - we are dealing with living creatures and sometimes, despite all the careful planning & precautions in the world, things go wrong... however, the difference is that most ethical registered breeders will stand by the dogs they breed, guarantee their pups and offer a lifetime of support. If you choose to buy a petshop/BYB puppy, then the buck stops with you forever more. No-one involved with supplying you that puppy cares about your sick dog down the track; there are no guarantees, and no support. Well done CW, hope your friends end up with a beautiful, healthy, well bred puppy :D
  10. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful dog, I am crying right along with you. Run happy & pain-free Bastian :D
  11. Big congrats to Macey and all her 'people' - she is a stunner!! :D :D
  12. It's so sad to read thread after thread about bloody irresponsible dog owners who are either clueless or deliberately ignorant of their dogs behaviour... to the detriment of so many other poor dogs who end up injured or worse Sending speedy healing thoughts to Max & Zach LMS, and hope your poor aunty isn't too traumatised by this horrible incident
  13. Blushing! Flame and Woger give very nice cuddles....although Flame is still somewhat feral so it's a darned good thing that Woger can do good enough cuddles for both of them! ;) Billie's incredibly cute. I will be looking forward to Billie cuddles when next we meet. Hopefully that will be at the show on the 22nd when we DOLers will be welcoming a VERY special guest all the way from the big West! The CBDC shows were very smoothly run. It was great to get home at a decent hour, that's for sure!! Go Woger!!! Nice way to finish baby class :D
  14. It depends, the finals would probably be the most exciting but if you watch the heats you will get to to see DOLers. Lincoln has gotten so much bigger you might not even recognise him. Hmmm, it has been a while... Will try and get down for some of the heats, and maybe () the finals as well...
  15. I'm hoping to pop down and watch at some point over the weekend! Looking forward to it, it's been ages since I watched any dog sports! Am lending my OzTrail gazebo to the visiting Queenslanders so will be popping down at some point tomorrow to drop that off... that doesn't count as barracking for the other team does it...? Will try and pick some of you WA DOLers out to say to... I think the only one I've met in the flesh is ValleyCBR & the gorgeous Lincoln as I usually frequent the shows rather than the sports Is there any day that would be better than others from a spectator's point of view?
  16. My very first show, I did a lovely triangle... only problem was that it was backwards! Not really a blunder as such but have gone A over T whilst running a Standard Poodle for group... I dropped his lead but thankfully he was good enough to come back to me while I was still laying on the ground... he had this look on his face as if to say "what on earth are you doing, woman?!" I picked myself up, took his lead, finished my lap of the ring and slotted back into line... Funnily enough, I did NOT get group that day.... thought that performance would have at least deserved RUBIG due to the sympathy vote!
  17. I have tears reading these posts... My amazing Kapper dog was PTS at home on New Years Eve last year... he is the first dog I have had euthanased at home and it was a much better experience, for him and for me. The vet I used was not my regular vet but a mobile vet who specialises in home euths and he was fantastic. We did all the paperwork etc beforehand so that Kapper could get used to him being in the house, and so I didn't have to deal with it afterwards. My boy got to go to the Bridge laying in his favourite spot in the kitchen, relaxed and happy and with me right there. I would have given anything not to have made that decision for him, and I cried the whole time I made the phone call to organise it, but I promised my boy that when his battle became too hard I would not let him suffer. I made his journey to the Bridge the best I could, and I am so glad I did it this way. Hugs to everyone who has had to say goodbye to a friend...
  18. This I could probably do... I can see my Dogue sitting in the passenger seat, though pity the poor drivers behind us that would wear the slobber on their windshields...
  19. Found just the thing ;) : ;) :p :p Not quite THAT keen...
  20. to go with my purple grooming box :p Ohhh! Me wants!
  21. Does he make purple show trolleys??? I think I am leaning towards an aluminium trolley as opposed to a c-crate one just for the weight factor getting it in and out of the back of my van... can always get it powdercoated myself if necessary after purchase. Thanks everyone! I have sent an email off to OKS asking prices etc but haven't had a reply as yet... hopefully I'll hear back from him soon.
