  1. Yep, it's that one :-) DW Ultimate from Perfect Paws as far as I can ascertain! Thank you xx
  2. Hi all, I recently bought a second hand hydrobath in very good condition but it came without the instruction manual - we have an old Conmurra twin tank model which is easy to use but have never used a bath with an autofill/holding tank set up before and it's very different to our old bath! Hoping someone out there has a manual they could copy & send to me or point me in the right direction for instructions online as Google has given me nada so far.... Thanks in advance! :-)
  3. Applecross Vets are awesome with Whippets, plus Steve has a big soft spot for the breed :-)
  4. Had a fantastic 1st day at the seminar today, building my knowledge on from the lesson on Friday. Thoroughly enjoyed my day, thank you so much to everyone involved for providing us with this fantastic opportunity!
  5. Well I had my private lesson today - O. M. G. I was blown away by what we achieved in just an hour with my boy!! For the first time in 2 years I am excited about what we can do from this point going forward, Kamal is amazing and explains everything in a way that it just all makes perfect sense. So looking forward to the seminar this weekend, I can't wipe the smile off my face at the moment
  6. Have just been lucky enough to get an auditing spot for this seminar - thanks to Bedazzled for telling me about it today when I was at quite a low point having just failed the ET after passing the willingness test in the morning and doing the 20kms super easy only to have my norty boy blow the recall on the last willingness test despite being given second chances... Here's hoping I can get some help with finding focus & motivation on a very headstrong, self motivating dog who is only really interested in doing what HE wants the majority of the time... fingers crossed, wish me luck!
  7. Howdy!! Anyone in WA doing the ET this year? Going to give it a go with Butch Brittany, he will be fine... it's me I'm worried about! Hoping to do some bike training with other dogs between now and September but I think our general fitness should hopefully be OK, he's doing 8km stints easily. This will be the first time I've attempted ET, would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous... any tips, hints or tricks would be gratefully appreciated!
  8. I sent 3 emails and left 3 voicemail messages for Martin over the space of 6 weeks and I did not get a single reply or call back. I wanted to order 2 trolleys, one for me and one for a friend and told him that. Based on my experience, I will not recommend him to anyone. That is very surprising, and COMPLETELY different to the experience I just had with Martin... he answered my initial email query within 2 hours, was extremely helpful with suggestions as I wanted a slightly different sized trolley than standard, and was in contact every step of the way through the manufacturing process right up to delivery - not to mention he made me aware immediately of the fact that I had actually paid him twice LOL and sent back the extra payment immediately. Time from initial contact to delivery was 5 weeks and 1 day, and I am thrilled with my new trolley as it is exactly what I asked for. Can't recommend Martin at OKS highly enough!!
  9. Glad to help, good luck and wishing you green lawn!
  10. OK.... they will be 20kg bags in Masters; price is around $35.95 and its called Riversafe Lawn & Garden Fertiliser - will be available as of next weekend
  11. Yep, it is pelletised green waste compost, ideally you water in for 10 mins and then away you go! It has improved our sandy soil heaps; it now holds water better, grass is thicker and deep green, patchy areas prone to lots of urine burn & wear are now green as well. It improves the root structure of the grass so recovery time is quicker & actual damage is less. ETA I'm not sure what the cost will be, hang on and I'll ask...
  12. BC Crazy, we have good old Kikuyu Yes it's an invasive bugger if you don't stay on top of it (will grow up fences etc) but nothing stands up to the heavy traffic quite like it! So easy to grow back damaged patches, plus you can pull runners from places you don't want and stick them in the places you need it
  13. The reception area of the kennels and two of the small dog exercise areas
  14. Our house yard, which has 5 dogs (2 x Borders, 1 X Brittany, 1 x Whippet & 1 x Frenchie) plus several kids running on it every day :-)
  15. http://www.fertiworx...ockReviver.aspx We use the above product on our lawns including the kennel runs - it was developed by a friend of mine to be used on horse paddocks that were still in use so had to be safe to graze on. Aside from being completely safe to use around animals it is also the best lawn fertiliser/repairer we have ever used... we have busy boarding kennels and our yards obviously are high traffic areas so we needed a product that will repair the lawns quickly and encourage healthy growth & repair of the inevitable damaged areas... will attach some recent pics of our lawns coming out of winter (high damage time as the ground is wet + slow growth period) and they have recovered super well! ETA: The product has just been picked up by Masters so should be available in Masters stores later this month :-D
  16. Sorry, but I cannot picture a Brittany being content with half an hour of walking a day. After having Border Collies for most of my adult life (and having dabbled in a few other breeds along the way in conjunction), we got a Brittany boy last year as my husband fell head over heels in love with the mother of our boy when she boarded with us (we have kennels).... we had almost no prior experience with the breed apart from that. I have to be completely honest here and say that he is by FAR the the most challenging puppy to own that I've ever had - he is like a little cyclone fueled by Red Bull mixed with red cordial Don't get me wrong, we adore him and he is the sweetest boy really but ohmygoodness is he full on! We are lucky inasmuch as we have a larger property and he has 4 "siblings" (2 x Borders, 1 x French Bulldog & 1 x Whippet) to help entertain him both physically and mentally. We don't walk every day but if our living situation was different I'd say it would be an absolute must.... even now if he's bugging the others too much (he goes a lot longer & harder than the rest of our pack) I'll take him out for a hour or so and that does help a bit, albeit temporarily He loves toys, so we fill up the toy box in the house with various bits and pieces and we find he really enjoys hunting through, and picking out 'today's favourite'... He is a very busy dog, and is rarely still.... I couldn't imagine him in a single dog household where he was alone a great deal of the time! My Borders are MUCH more relaxed and easygoing. After the somewhat black picture I've painted of him here though, I must stress he really is super sweet, lots of fun to have around and makes us laugh every single day and it would be a much less colourful existence without him His breeder is amazing and has been a huge support, even though she did give us the "norty" one
  17. Coming in a little late but another vote for The Wolfs Den here - we use their coats in our boarding kennel and haven't found anything to beat them - we have loads of them in all sizes from toy to giant, they are super hardwearing, wash & dry beautifully, amazingly well made and even dogs who usually get their coats off will keep them on happily. Double layer polar fleece keeps them toasty and I love the fact the zips on the back have a polar fleece cushiony 'flap' underneath them so the zips aren't in direct contact with the dog
  18. Just found this! :D Further to RV's post, my current Rising Star "Butch", Ch Astrelis Dawn Raider, has gone from strength to strength after exiting the baby class in January this year - he gained his title the day he turned 10 months old and since his baby wins he has won 12 Minor/Puppy in Groups, 2 Puppy in Shows, Best Exhibit in Group at an open show and most exciting of all - Runner Up in Group in quality competition last weekend under a Gundog specialist judge! He is currently DOL's #1 Brittany Rising Star, #2 Brittany (Breed Challenge) and #3 Brittany (Show Dog Comp.) nationally... he will be 12 months old next month!Butch is by far the naughtiest dog in the world - lucky he's good looking, LOL Looking forward to more wins in the future with this boy, and thanks again to RV for allowing us to be owned by him
  19. He should have a lovely temperament as well - Shirley & Colin's Chows usually do :D He is very cute - wishing your cousin many years of happiness with him!
