I have only lived in Geelong for just over a year so I don't really know what laces are good. I have been previously been taking my two dogs to puppy obdeinace training through our vet but we just arn't getting what we want out of the classes and would like to do join a club with a grading system so unlike our vets one..not everyone passes the class just for trying.. :D So I would love some recommendations please

Well when we take him on walks he is a real puller. He is possibly a Staffordshire terrier x ACD but i think he has a a few other breeds in him as well. I'll try and get some footage of it today, thanks for the help everyone

he has also started licking things like the fridge and the couch. he seems to get relaxed by it, i don't know if its related but i thought i woukld mention it

He doesn't seem blind, he will get distracted and turn his head and look at me but he doesn't stop pacing while doing so. I'll try moving him outside if he does it again tomorrow. OH has time off work so i'll make him keep an eye on him tomorrow. I did try grabbing him today but he kept jumping away as he doesn't like being handled around the collar at the best of times. I haven't noticed any saliva but then again i haven't been looking for it. He paces at his normal walking speed maybe a little faster but not much. If I explained this to my vet are there tests that could be preformed to see if seizures or epilepsy is the problem? I have never seen him have a fit but i would like to make sure he is ok

Thought I will add that nothing has really changed over the last month, we did go away for a week but he was doing it before we left. He is a completely different dog when he is inside.

Over the last month Charlie who is my 9 month old cross breed has started pacing. It has since got more frequent in the last few days that as soon as he goes outside he starts doing it. He goes back and forth along one of the fence lines and sorta snaps at the air. He doesn't do it inside and he completly ignores all comands and won't even acknowledge his name being called. He also won't let me near him while he is doing it. How do you stop pacing dogs? I don't think he is doing it out of boredom as he has a lot of things to play with in the yard as well as my other dog Freja. Would it most likely be anxiety problem? I'm really confused as how to help him and would like to hear from others who have been in there situation or have suggestions on what to do. Thanks

Hello tiger_bluez, we are having the same problem here with Freja she loves chasing the cats around, cleaning them and playing with them. She does get a little rough so we have been using the command "leave it" when she is about to chase after one or "watch" which is where we have her look at us to distract her from the cats. It is taking along time about she is getting better everyday. We did this with our other dog Charlie and he now doesn't chase them but loves cuddyling with them.

I tried doing a OOB with a picture of Charlie but everytime i try to make the frame it doesn't work? :S I draw the white rectangle over top and then use the rectange marquee to cut away and make the frame but its cuts the whole background away.. do you think one of you nice people could make an OOB with this picture of Charlie so that his paw comes out of the frame?

I'm hopefully getting aanoter puppy in August(fingers crossed) We didn't crate train Charlie and he is nearly 7 months old. We want to do crate training with the new pup and Charlie. my questions is: Should i try and crate train Charlie before we get the puppy or train them at the same time? edited to add: I've never owned two dogs at the same time

Thanks guys, it is pretty prickly when i run it over my arm. I havent tried a soft brush as it was recommended by the vet grrr oh well looks like im gonig to try a soft brush (even if it takes me forever ) and on a table. He is pretty behaved on the vets table so it should work well, ill let you know

Charlie has a short coat (he is staffy x red heeler(maybe)) He has been shedding a lot recently so we bought a brush like this one as it was what was recommended by our vet. He absolutly hates being brushed. He will be calm so we start brushing, he then starts fidgetting and runs away. If he sees us with the brush he runs in another direction. We have been very careful brushing him very slowly and softly but he always get scared. Anyone got any tips? Have we go the right brush type?
