    Puppy Milk

I just feed normal cows milk from the supermarket to both my dogs who suffer no ill effects whatsoever. They are very partial to milk!
  3. Thanks for the update! Great to hear that he is doing so well!!! He is incredibly lucky to have found you!!!!!! Yes they seem to love plastic bottles! You could also try empty tissues boxes and cereal boxes! Mine LOVES to shred those as well although it does get very messy picking up tiny pieces of paper afterwards. ETA: He is GORGEOUS!!!!!!
  4. Got my order yesterday! The roo flaps are insane! Looks like someone stuffed half a roo into the box!
  5. I do two walks a day for a 9 month old golden. Morning walk is a bit more full on but afternoon walk is a VERY slow stroll. I think it is more beneficial to get her out and about and for her to escape the four walls of our house than any potential joint damage.
  6. We have the aircon on all day when its about 26 degrees or above. I time it to turn out at around 1 pm though to save some electricity. At night I try to save money so its always off. If its one of those scorcher nights then I have a low fan which I turn on and they can sleep in front of it or move away as they see fit.
  7. Hehehe yes I know where they have been! Never been sick from them so I'm not fussed which is strange because I would NEVER share food or eating utensils with a fellow human!
  8. Oh so very tempting FTPO but…………………………………I loves my Bitty Yum Yum!!!!!!!!!!
  9. You chew their muzzles? Hehehe just a bit of soft chomp! No teeth! They have very chubby cheeks perfect for chomping on!!!
  10. Patting, stroking, muzzle chewing, Bitty and Bubby love it all!!!!! I wouldn’t do it to any other dog besides my own though!
  11. Hehehe we figure a bit of mud doesnt hurt! Plus there are only so many sponge baths and wipe downs you can give until you give up!!!
  12. Happy Birthday Charlie!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Gorgeous muddy doggies everyone!!!!! I am sensing a theme here! The muddier the dog, the bigger the smile seems to be
  14. Mud sure is fun Eskythehusky! Although not so much for her mummy and daddy!!!! We've planted this nice muddy sugarcane patch for the dogs and they go absolutely FERAL in it! Especially with all the rain!!!!!
  15. Its good to be a grubby puppy! Especially if mummy or daddy give you a sponge bath afterwards!
  16. So happy for you he is doing well Archieboy!!!!! Good job adding the raw meat to his diet!! Hope it all goes well and he learns to enjoy raw bones! Do keep us update!!!!!!! Plzzzzzzzzzzz post more pics!
  17. O. M. G!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot for the life of me teach bow and would NEVER think the clicker would work since I had no idea how to break it down!!!!!! I am sooooo going to try this!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Oh thanks a lot PF!!! I just spent $100 after going to their site!! They didnt have roo tendons but had lots of other cool stuff, i ordered 4 kg worth of treats!! Ssshhhh dont tell hubby ... A few of my dogs crazy friends get together to do bulk orders. I never seem to escape from the website for much under $100 either. Check back frequently.. doesn't seem to take too long for the out of stock stuff to reappear. They usually toss a few samples into a big order too. I really like the tuna.. so do the dogs! I am another HUGE fan of this site and can't escape with an order under $100 either! So much variety, the OH and I go mad click click click! I liked the lambs ears, beef jerky, beef tendon and chicken bites! But going to try new stuff this time!
  19. Has anyone bought from the Zazzle site? And from the site that sells the golden with wings? Are they reliable?
  20. I lure and shape as well! Somethings I just have no idea what to wait for so I just wave a piece of meat and con her into doing what I want. I find though that because I do shape with a lot of other stuff, once I have lured her into a trick, she will store it in her head and bring it out for offering next time we train (if that makes sense!) But then I'm not a proper trainer! I only do stuff with her because its healthy for her brain!
  21. Awww the poor baby. He is lucky to have found you to take care of him. I know you are worried about the amount but dont worry so much I would start off by giving him on sardine with his food for the first few meals and then maybe a total of about 2 tins a week (half a tin with each meal) Also I think it is very important for you to teach him to chew on bones as he needs something to clean his teeth. Can you get any lean raw meaty bones to give him to gnaw on? Or maybe a hard frozen carrot? It does sound like the poor baby has been through a lot but I think its important to slowly introduce him to a variety of foods so that he doesnt grow up to be the kind of dog that gets the runs when he eats one thing different. Also in relation to your feeding question I am not sure how much nutrient canned food holds as I have never fed it but to give you an example: at 8 weeks my golden pup was eating a chicken maryland for breakfast, fruit and veggies as trainining treats (about a cup full), and a 200-300g raw fish for dinner. Do keep us updated! I hope it all goes well and your boy gets better!
  22. See Bubby has never taken anything that Bitty has. When she was about 4 months old, I watched him back off and let her pick between the two bones they had. Then when she picked the bone she liked he went and resumed eating the one that was leftover. But she was pretty good natured when she went to try out his bone. To me it was more of a brainless puppy move rather than a "Back off Bubby I want your bone!" Now that I have trained her that interfering with Bubby's food is a nono she doesn't do it anymore but Bubby himself has never even attempted to lick her food even when she was a pup. He sits on the porch and waits for her to finish dinner or he asks me to let him inside. When she's done he will go and have a sniff at her dinner spot. My other theory is that he is bigger and stronger but can't be bothered taking her food/toys etc. He is very mellow and lazy so perhaps this has translated over into his relationship with her as well???
  23. She sounds so gorgeous!!!! So I assume she is what you hoped she would be when you were picking a puppy?
  24. OMG!!!!!!!!! That is the best photo ever!!!!!!!! So tell us about the Birthday girl Monelite! What is she like? Personality? It is her thread afterall!!!!! More details on her are a must!
