  5. Hi, We are thinking of joining the Metropolitan Dog Obedience Club at Chermside. Does anyone else go here? On the website it only says join ups are Monday nights... Do they train any other night? What should I expect? I am really eager to join and hopefully Oscar will have a lot of fun as well. Thanks, Lisa
  6. I hope she makes a full recovery
  7. When we got Oscar we took two weeks off work... Not practical for some.. But it was great for us and Oscar.. Especially for Oscar.. In this time we left him at home alone for short periods (so he would get used to it)... Over the 2 weeks we increased the time away etc. It was great.. I would also look into crate training as it can help with toilet training etc Best of luck
  8. There's one at Albany Creek.. Is that near you? It's 8 bucks to do it yourself...
  9. Oh puppy joys lol Oscar was a little SHIT!! Cried his heart out.. I really like ear plugs :D Didn't hurt him at all
  10. We have a Shih Tzu and some days he just doesn't eat that much at all. I used to get all worked up about him not eating enough for what he was doing. But he eats when he feels hungry. He's more of a grazer.. I guess you just have to learn their routine and try not to stress too much. I was at the vets a few times a week because of this lol..
  11. Oscar does it all the time lol. I think it is cute
  12. I couldn't leave my dog for 4 weeks. I'd take him with us. Take a crate etc for when you think he needs down time. He will love it ;)
  13. Some mornings I make Oscar Toast with vegemite He loves it
  14. I'm very sorry for your loss

I am very sorry for your loss He looked to be a very very special dog, just as you stated.
  16. Oscar always seems to drink water at night... Or after a walk/run etc. He's sick atm and I have to feed him chicken and rice, so I have been adding water to his meal and he doesn't even know
  17. I didn't know her, however she sounds like someone I wish I did know. My thoughts are with her family and friends. The road will be tuff in the following weeks, months and years.. Just believe that she is watching over all of you and will never truly leave. Lisa
  18. Oscar does this too!! However he doesn't do it as often as he used to THANK GOD.... When I see him eating I normally start running the other way calling his name and saying LOOK LOOK. Sometimes he rushes over to see what I'm on about and forgets the poo.. Other times he quickly eats the poo then rushes over. When he was a little pup and he did a poo inside I saw him cleaning up after himself.. as if he was ashamed . I think he is getting a lot better though.. As I ave had him checked for everything and the vet assures me he is in perfect health. I think it is more a bevavioural thing.. Maybe he learnt it from his Mum. However I think it is GROSS
  19. Oscar has Band down pat now It's cool
  20. Thanks guys Yeah I wasn't planning on giving it to him every morning.. Just every now and again :D
  21. Oscar has decided that he wants Mummy's breakfast as well lol So I left a little bit and mixed it in with his normal food.. Is that ok?
  22. Oscar has had this once as well... The noise went on for about 2 hours and I thought something was seriously wrong.. But he was fine.. He slept through most of it.. It hasn't happened since... After reading the above I think I will mention it to our vet the next time we go in anyway, just to be safe
  23. OMG!!! I will have to buy Oscar some boots as well lmao How cute
  24. Thanks for the info guys I will post pics as soon as we get a pair lol
