Hey TLC. No no real signs yet. She's not due until next Friday/Saturday give or take a day, so I would be cocerned if she started labouring now. We have moved her inside as I like to sleep next to the whelping box with them from this point on just in case. She is getting quite uncomfortable now - either more pups than seen in the ultrasound or they are huge pups. She has started showing *some* signs; has become a real bitch and not tolerating Tarni's antics at all! She has gotten very snuggly with Belle (her Mum) which isn't like her at all. Will keep you posted - here as well as the October litters thread in the Breeders Forum. I am pretty sure she is going to go early so I am now house-bound for the next 6 weeks . Everyone has been pretty quiet here...... what've y'all been up to???

Sorry Ellz, I sneezed. Can you say that again???

Given the story behind the pic, my wife suggested "Always with you" or "By your Side..."

That's grat and I hope all goes so well for me! Not long now... due in 10 days but my girls seem to always go early too!

Congratulations nedsur! Boy they look very well developed - and 5 days early? You sure you got your dates right?

Hi All.... Firstly, glad to hear you all had a good time with Ravyk, Pandii says everyone enjoyed it and she and OH were very nice, and thanks tlc for the pics!! Amy is doing well. Due on the 17th but I feel she will go early. She's in good health and the ultrasound showed pups were a good size so up to a few days early wouldn't hurt. She is really slowing down now and a brief run on the beach is about all she can manage. She doesn't seem to carry as well as her Mum who would carry on like a puppy when full of 10 pups right up to the day before she whelped them! She's not happy, but this is her first & only litter so she'll get over it! My brothers store "Aqua Life" has suffered many delays but I have been told will be open before the end of the month. All his display tanks are being custom built in Sydney and were suposed to be completed already but are still two weeks away. I have spent the last few days in there helping him. We have painted, carpeted and plumbed. His budget blew out so could not afford a shop-fitter so I have been in there the last couple of days installing shelving systems and hanging racks etc etc. His stock has started arriving and is beginning to look like a 'shop' as of today. I believe there is a facebook page keeping people updated on the progress.....

Congratulations on a great result, Centitout! And you'll be doing it all again on the 10th!

Hi tlc. I've not been on here for a couple of days so not sure about any arrangements with Ravyk. Her last post says to PM Pandii re catching up. Unfortunately I wont be able to get together tomorrow as I have promised to help my brother fit all the shelving in his store.

All locals need to be aware of a possible dog poisoning in Albert Park last week. According to 'The Standard' a dog became ill after walking in Albert Park and is suspected to have eaten a bait. Another dog brought home some meat (presumably from the same park) which was wrapped around rodent bait. I am not sure if Albert Park is an off-leash zone or not, but everyone should still be extra careful while walking there.

You should be able to get one from one of the places on Carramut Road - can't think what they're called. If you buy one I'd be happy to get it to your place if you need me too. Don't think you need anything TOO big though...
-
You should be able to get one from a local Agricultural store. Don't get one from a garden centre as if it's not made specifically for water for consumption, they can be toxic...

Hmmmm, I'd put it down to another HEALTH ISSUE of those TERRIBLY INBRED TASMANIAN PEDIGREE DOGS!!!

Yep. I have changed the title and added a photo warning for those on dial-up. Hopefully with these changes the thread can remain in its current format for those that wish it to do so. By stating it is NOT a social events thread, there will be NO confusion if someone else starts a local Social Events Organizing thread. Think this is the best way for everyone. If anyone has an issue with this, please post or PM me.

Hi all!! Sorry.... I have been quiet here haven't I! No we bombed at the Royal. I only had Amy entered and she decided as she walked into the ring that pregnant girls shouldn't have to run if they dont want to. The Judge was very good (knowing she was in whelp) and gave her every chance to prove herself but she didn't want a bar of it. :D No shows coming up for a while due to puppies. Tarni is entered in the Vizsla Club Championship Show on November 1st. Will start hitting the ring hard with Tarni (and a new bubby!) in the new year. Hope everyones well..... tlc's doing it hard by the sounds!! Hey, has anyone heard from Tenties of late? Wonder what she's up too..... ETA - Ultrasound this week confirmed Amy has at least 8 healthy babies, but probably more hidden away...

Congratulations Whipitgood!! I have returned you to THE LIST!!!

Itchy Cocker Spaniel Puppy - Help Needed
jerojath replied to sundays-child's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
If it is merely a skin iritation and not diet related, a bath with some 'Pine Tarsol' in the water works wonders. You get it from your chemist. -
Looks like we have another large(ish) litter.... viewed 8 but very possibly more!

I have an ultrasound tomorrow for Amy. I can feel babies in there but would like an idea of how many to expect! ...........hopefully just 1 really lovely boy and girl. That would do me very nicely!
