Still hard to tell, but not White-Lipped Snake at all. Actually looks like a Tiger and TP is the perfect terrain for them. I wouldn't stop walking there due to the snakes but you would have to keep them on lead. At least the snakes are very visible on that path. Only thing I don't like about summer is the snakes when walking. Edited to add... am actually thinking it does look more like a Copperhead snake. Better than a Tiger but still a bitch if it bites you!

Congratulations to you on the Pies performance!

Bugger Tenties! Hope you are back behind the wheel again soon! You have had a very bad run of luck.

Sorry, I was planning on going for a walk but had forgotten we'd promised friends we'd get together for a BBQ. Off 4WDriving tomorrow near the SA border so no walking tomorrow either. Re Snake. VERY hard to tell from those shots but could possibly be a white-lipped snake. Don't know where you saw it but they are plentiful around the Tower Hill Reserve. They are not much of a worry. They are only mildly venomous - I pick them up for a look when I see them. Don't know what would happen if a dog got bitten though.... Do you have any better/closeup pics to clarify?

Welcome home Tez! Hope you had a fantastic trip. Mawson - she was flying with Qantas via DogTainers. She is well and truly settled now and I was able to have my first 'hold' of her today. She is really lovely! I have a lovely big mouse thawing out for her now. :D Ta for the pics tlc! And good luck at the Delta Induction today. ;) Tenties - I am completely over the weather too. The fact it changes and turns to crap so quickly makes it hard to plan anything for the day! Looks like it may be on the improve now though.... ** Now, does anyone know when Warrnambool Dog Training School takes on new aspiring puppies? I am thinking it will be the first week after school returns. Can anyone confirm?

Hey! LOVE the new siggy, Barb!

GSD's.... No. not everyone likes these critters. I understand that. My son wants as little as possible to do with them, although he is mothering an orphaned Bluetongue Lizard at the moment. I have always loved them... dunno why really. I have kept various reptiles since I was a kid but these days I am a licensed wildlife breeder and dealer. (not that I 'deal' in them as such, just like having them around.) My partner and daughters all love the reptiles, one of our favourite things to do on a nice day is head bush reptile 'hunting'. In fact, for our honeymoon at the end of October we are going camping (with kids & dogs) to look for reptiles!

Eeeeew, Yuk! I didn't see that hair under there! I just hosed away the dog shit before I put her in! I don't often bath my lot so I don't know what the place is normally like, but if that is commonplace, then I agree, they should monitor the place a bit better! It's not very nice for anyone to have to walk in on. Tully will be fine... don't leave her at home to miss out on all the fun! ETA - Let me know what the plan is.

yes I'll post some pics tonite. I'm just heading off for her now. Yeah Tarni seemed ok yesterday, but was so pissed about having a bath she probably didn't give much else any thought! Will be interesting when she gets out with them all off lead.

Try and have a Boof, regardless of the fact that your nasty Mother has decided to leave you on your lonesome and hit the big-smoke on a shopping-spree bender!!!

for Friday Boof!

This is Mac... This is Antaresia, who arrives by plane on Friday.... I have a very understanding partner allowing snakes living in our bedroom! This is Bonnie and Clyde (Bonnie pictured...) Bonnie and Clyde are Red-Phase Central Bearded Dragons and they are my daughters babies (hope she looks after them coz they are worth a small fortune ) We also have Samson & Delilah who are a breeding pair of Eastern Bluetongue lizards, (Samson Pictured) and we have Brad, Angelina & Jennifer who are 3 Alpine Blotched Bluetongues engaged in a sordid little love-triangle, and we have a baby Alpine who has almost starved to death and was given to me today to try and 'save', but it's not looking great. Have my eye on some more snakes but finances are a touch stretched after the Dragons! They may have to wait a few weeks. Have another species of lizard due shortly, so long as my import permit is approved... All up we now have 30 reptiles & amphibians. Feeding time is fun.... cockroaches and crickets everywhere, boiled eggs stinking the house out, various salad-mix bowls, mice/rats thawing on the bench.....

Ok, ok.... stand by.....

Tenties you'll just have to become my friend! Nothin' 'elite' about me! Rough as Guts! Just don't want to post same pics everywhere.

Will post pics over the next day or so. Off to the Airport to pick up a lovely 'girl' on Friday! Re: Euk. I haven't had to order any for a while so you know more than me! I will email my representative though......

tlc I've not heard of the rally-o before, but I have seen canine displays/exhibitions where teams of dogs competed in a relay-type scenario... it was sure fun to watch so I reckon it would be great fun to compete in something like that! I am a member of the Eukanuba 'Platinum Breeder' Club so buy through them. I did notice Fairy St had no Euk recently and was unsure why.... just thought maybe they weren't stocking it anymore? Been in Melbourne today (again ) on 'business' and brought home a whole lot more critters I really should leave my wildlife license at home when I go down there.......
