Happy Birthday to Bronson.... cute clip/pics! The cake is a work in progress..... initially appeared to be 'simple', has proved otherwise. Knowing the OH though, she wont give up and it will look great!

Yep I'll take a pic of Jess' cake, but wont be finished til late tonight. Jemma's cake was only 'intact' for about half an hour, as soon after she finished it everyone arrived to eat it!

Only just got on to find this..... Have a nice time! I can't get out again today.... Just been out to see Donna who I haven't visited in months. It was Jess' birthday yesterday and it's Jemma's birthday today, so got the family coming over. Tomorrows probably out too, as Jessica is having a big birthday party. Yay me.... surrounded by 25 screaming 6/7 year old girls!

GSD's that is a great idea and I wish you guys every success with it! I'm afraid my having Gundogs means I will be of no help, unless you want to shoot the sheep and have them dragged back to you. I am more than happy to help out on the day (or any other) if needed though. Agree with Jess that this should go in the herding thread. I think there would be very limited interest from this thread alone.... I should think asking the Standard to do a brief story creating awareness of the workshop would be the bast way to draw numbers.

I have flown lots of pups with DogTainers in Melbourne and they always crate them with a water bowl before shipping them out. I wait with the pups until they leave for the terminal so I see them watered every time. Only one pup has ever peed his crate and that was after a long delay for a flight to Perth.

You have nothing to feel guilty about. You did what you had to do.... collars or not! I am a breeder and when we moved into a small farming community with our dogs, it was clear some of the locals were concerned. I told them before they had to tell me that if ever my dogs were worrying their stock to shoot them. That's the law of the land.

Sorry RJ... Not *really* interested in the car. Hope you get a reasonable offer for your car RJ although you are always going to get more selling it privately of course. Depends if you can be bothered with the stuffing around with a private sale. I agree re white cars... I love my white 4X4 as it always looks respectable, if not 'clean'. Certainly doesn't show the dirt like others I've had. Problem is I am having trouble finding another white Delica, which the OH doesn't mind as she wants something different. Looks like I'll be driving the white one then! Beautiful day for mowing the lawns. I'm off grocery shopping shortly......

Yeah I agree. By about noon today the sun was shining beautifully. Not too much rain today.... certainly no flooding about. I got home from work early afternoon and got straight into shorts and T-shirt! SCONES!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad you are feeling a bit more active!

....was always the Academy of Dog Grooming in Sunbury, too. Dunno if they are still operating though. Also, as I have employed many groomers over the years myself, I would avoid any TAFE course on offer. I am yet to come across a TAFE trained groomer who's work is of any real quality, while most I wouldn't even classify as groomers. I am sure however, that there are TAFE trained groomers who have learned a LOT in the industry since training and are now of a reasonable standard.

The Aus Dog Centre is so pricey! $$$$$$$$$$$$$ I trained at the Dog Grooming School of Victoria in Heidelberg, which operated alongside a very reputable salon "Mop & Top Dogs". The training was very thorough and I was more than confident entering the workforce immediately after graduating. I have worked in some of Melbournes most respected salons since training at DGSV. ;)

Just quickly.... Jess I am sure you are right in it being a Sunfish you saw. There was a pic in last weeks Standard of a fairly large (1.5 meters???) Sunfish washed up at Killarney. Odd that there was two of them though but then I think they wash up quite easily in storms.
