Haven't read other replies but will say, numerous members of my family have been/are members of Vic Police. ALL joined the queue for the dog squad (we are a 'doggy' family!) ALL of them met the requirements of the squad. ALL have left the force after many years, or are still in the queue, such is the demand for admission into the dogs. Certainly a realistic goal for a new member, but be prepared for a looooooooong wait! I think you would have to want to do all areas of policing work, rather than just work within the dog squad, because you will be doing many years of that work first, if you even ever got into the dogs.

Hoping for some Gr 3 results.... in particularly the Hungarian Vizslas.

I'm going. Not showing though... ...there is a great Pub just up from the sports-ground!

I have that book too. From memory the Afghan was the most popular breed for that year. I know quite a few of the prefixes... some still around today and others who had made a huge impact within their breeds.

I thought i had missed you as you said you do your shopping on a Wednesday night ....I was running late cos at the Doctors the nurse who did the inr said she would give my results straight to my Doctor so i'd get in pretty quick to see him ( 2:15 )......only prob was he was not on today , i only found that out after going to the front desk and asking how much longer he would be i then had to wait on a Indian Doctor who felt she knew more than me about what happened to me and what my treatment should be ???? i got out at 3:45 so was running a wee bit late myself.... have to go back in tomorrow cos i forgot a few things i had to do before i go into Hospital next week, just being prepared in case i cant see when i get out...... Well I'm happy to help out any way I can when you get out of hospital, so stress not! I am home today and the kids will be home at 3:45 if you still wanted to come out and meet 'the gang'.

Uh Oh! Hope it's ok. If you pulled over and turned it off straight away it should be fine. (you hope!) Just tell your OH "I checked it yesterday and it was fine!".

Best to let the Show Secretary aware you have it, I think. I'm sure once someone realizes it is missing it will be the Show Sec they will call!

Hello fellow Wigglebumian! I don't have any lizard pics any more but there are some of mine in the 'Herpers' thread in OT (Other Pets etc) That's great your dogs don't harm the lizards... mine are pretty safe here too. Wish I had dragons in the garden... do you know what they are? bearded dragons, we have several adults and a lot of babies. Here are a couple of babies.. Aaah, yes. Breeding season for them! They are Pogona Barbata. Lovely dragons. I have some Pogona Vitticeps... their larger 'Western' cousins.

Yeah they are lovely. I just bought two new Northern Territory Pythons today. Should be here in a couple of weeks!

Hey tlc I forgot to ask, how did the Bunnings team go in the Whale Boat races???

Bluetongues will often eat their young as they have no protective/parenting instinct from the minute they have birthed them. Gotta be quick getting them out. We have growing racks in the house where they are kept warm (and safe from their parents!) until they grow a bit. Shinglebacks, which I also keep, will protect and allow their young to 'live with them' for many years sometimes. Mind you, they only have 1 or 2 young, whereas the Bluetongues can have as many as 20!

Do Lizards have live young or eggs ??? was it the big fella that got in ???no i guess it doesnt happen that quick lol.... you should put a tunnel in for him they love them, plus it would help ease his lonelyness the girlies might like a new man on the block Some lay eggs while others have live young. The ones we are expecting have live young. No it wasn't the big fella ... I have fellas in with the ladies And a tunnel for him to get IN means a tunnel for the others to get OUT, and they cost me $$$$$$

Yep I will. I finish work at 3pm on Wednesday and the kids get out at 3:30. I go grocery shopping Wednesdays but will leave it til you've been over. The kids seem a little bit "take 'em or leave 'em" with the frogs actually..... I think we've just got soooooooo many pets around the house they're a bit over it all! Plus we'll have LOTS of little baby lizards around here soon too!

Glad you're still about, Jess. Good luck at Skye next weekend!

Yeah some pople are just scum bags. We often see lizards and snakes squashed on the road IN Tower Hill. With the speed limit in there there is NO excuse for running over an animal. These pricks do it on purpose. ;) Panmure seems to be a bad spot too.... I often see them dead on the road out that way. We actually have a huge Blue Tongue living at our place. It is illegal to catch him, but if I ever find him trying to get into my guys I'll give him a helping hand! Lots of lovely girl lizards and good tucker in there for him!

Hey I didn't know you were selling them? I would certainly still be interested in them :p I can always find space for one more vivarium....... somewhere...... maybe. Let me know what you want to do with them. Don't know their gender.... I must admit I am a complete noobie with GTF's! You are welcome to come and see for yourself if you'd like!

Yeah I drove down in the end... thought it would be unfair to have animals bagged-up for such a long time on the train. Normally if we pick up a snake and have a long trip we let them out in the car for a while, but couldn't do that on the train! Oh I didn't know Bunnings had a team! Are you racing? Coz if you are I will do my best to get down and see!
