Gee that's good of Craig to test your Delta dogs pro-bono. Good on him! Regarding his ultrasound 'techniques'... I have worked with trained radiographers and I am not surprised to hear Craig is self-taught! And I guess his bed-side manner is irrelevant when it comes to animals! Re: Kindle. Yes my Kindle has arrived (well, it's for my Mum ) but am waiting on the accessories. I bought her a leather cover, a screen protector, a light, a wall charger (so she doesn't have to plug it in to the back of her PC) and a car charger. I haven't even opened it yet as I find anything "hi-tech" rather daunting, but will have to get into it soon. I am hoping to load it full of books from Mums favorite authors; Ruthe Rendell, Catherine Cookson, Agatha Christie. I am just hoping the "instructions" and techniques are VERY simple.

Hope you get good news on the 20th, Cav! I agree re: Craig at the Vetgroup..... there is a young girl there now who is awesome. She listens and doesn't mind if you offer your input or thoughts, where as Craig doesn't seem to care what you think. I can understand they would get "know-it-alls" a lot, but I think after 23 years breed experience and 10 years Veterinary Nursing my opinions would count a little? I do find Craig to be a very competent surgeon though. He is very knowledgeable, confident and calm in theatre. I got him out once to perform an emergency Caesarian even though he wasn't on after hours duty!

How did I miss this bit? I am assuming they are going to be Tarnagulla bubbies? How exciting!! Did you catch your mice? Or should I say did the snakes catch the mice. Yes we are very excited here about babies... good thing too is all pups are 'sold' already, unless she has a dozen! No, I found the snakes later curled up on the back of the TV (warm!) and saw the mouse again this morning.

I was in a hurry tlc as I had an appointment at 9:15 and I was in Bunnings at 9. I did try to get your attention but you were very busy chatting to someone from behind the paint counter!
-
Sitting here on the computer, I just saw a mouse come out from behind the TV, so I've let two snakes out into the living room. That should fix it!

G'Day, All! Just thought I'd pop in briefly as I've just been out at Bunnings... Cavalblaze Bunnings have the 'compost cages' in stock. There are four there at $24.98 each. You would need two, as well as a packet of cable-ties. Not bad though, a puppy pen for about $50! I'm thinking of getting another one myself so you'd best grab them while they're there! (Babies due here July 1st! ) Edited to add.... Cavalblaze, who does your ultrasound for preg? I love my Vets but when it comes to preg ultrasounds they don't appear to be too switched on.

Fantastic! That really IS a great photo. I was in Mount Gambier on the weekend and found there were still quite a lot of those webs blowing around...

again?

I wont know for sure until the day. Can one register on the day itself? **It's ok I just read tlc's post. Therefor, that is what I shall do.

I had to work today, but what a magic day to be in the garden!
-
I would need 5 jockey's outfits!

Oh the visual...Mick in a morning suit driving a forklift, ogling fillies!!!!! You'd love it!
-
Jess I'm afraid I am not one to ask, regarding fashion. However, I may see you there as I have been asked to do a few days work driving a forklift truck unloading all the gear, I'd imagine. Looking forward to seeing some pretty filly's though!
-
They have always had them there when I've looked, but they actually were a bit hard to find. I'll have another look next time I'm out there and mention it here, in case Cav is still needing them.
-
Just checking in. Will pop back in later today to see what's happening. Hope Vicsta is coping ok today.

Cavalblaze I agree with RP... I have two "compost cages" joined together to make 8 movable panels so you can make it any shape to suit. I join them together loosly with heavy-grade cable ties, so there is plenty of movement in them to shift it around on the lawn. They come with wire connectors but I don't like these for puppies. Bunnings in Warrny had them in stock so I didn't have to order them. Can't remember how much they were but works out a LOT cheaper than a purpose-built puppy pen and does the same thing! (Maybe $28-$30 each lot of four panels?) It handles a litter of Vizslas so you'll be right with the Cavaliers. (I'd lend you mine but I think I may be needing it soon after you...... ) I guess you are welcome to borrow it but there is a fair chance I'd need it back before you were finished and I'd hate to have to come and steal it back off you!
-
That's right RP... although snakes are a little easier to house. I could take dozens of THEM at the moment!
-
Thanks Ams. Just got in and will shoot an email to her now.
-
Steve... please empty your inbox! Edited to say, I'll be back in here later tonight to see what's happening and re-send a PM to you.
-
It may be a last resort for you, but if someone could get the Elks to me in Warrnambool I will gladly foster whoever is in need - pups or adults. I would drive to Adelaide to collect but that is just not possible for me ATM.

That's really weird. I/we get out to Killarney at least 3 or 4 times a week and have also noticed the sand has been really soft. What may have caused it? I don't know. My knee has been exceptionally bad of late and I have put it down to walking on the really soft sand. In fact, I have been doing shorter walks there because of it!
-
Fair enough... I wasn't sure and didn't want Migs to miss out on a run just coz Tarni was there. As it happens we have just got home anyway! Hope you all had a good walk though. I'll try to get Tarni out to Killarny in the morning as she hasn't been out today. Great day at Flagstaff Hill today... so much stuff for the kids to do,they have had a ball. Couldn't believe the amount of people there... it was packed!
-
Sounds good. Hope I can get there but don't wait for me. tlc you know Tarni better than Mawson and Migz better than I do.... do you think Tarni & Migz would get along ok?
-
I'd love to get out but have a pretty full day planned unfortunately. Maybe PM me tomorrow with time and place and I'll be there if I am able. :D

Yes I have heard someone here in town has one... dunno that it's legal though. Was told it will go to Cudgee Wildlife Park when it gets much larger. Apparently they have it in a large aquarium, which is less than ideal.
