  1. Geez it's been quiet here! I think FB has become detrimental to DOL lately. I haven't been on here much lately... been in the final stages of starting our new business and have been spending very little time on my various forums and stuff. Fifteen months of hard work is finally going to pay off though. Off to Melbourne on the weekend again to meet with prospective suppliers etc. I think I am exhausted and the really hard work is yet to begin! tlc I have not been out to Gateway this week.... may get out tomorrow to investigate ;) Cavalblaze all the best with your litter... hope there's a 'keeper' amongst them! So how is everyone doing? Still no sign of tez.
  2. Did she look just like Gross-out? Coz the girl I've seen is a dead-set copy! I will check Sanity when I'm there next. ;)
  3. I've seen her a few times and all 'sightings' were at Gateway (at least twice at KMart?) I've not seen her at Sanity so may not be the same lass.... will go check tomorrow!
  4. Cold is an understatement! I had some mowing to do today at work and I think all I did was take the ice off the surface! There was frost sitting on the grass still after lunch time. Gonna stuff a hot-pack down the front of my jocks tomorrow morning! Glad you have had the "procedure". Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.... even if just so the Spoods don't go completely bananas!
  5. Yep. Been doing that since the new forum became operational.
  6. International Childrens Day today. I thought we already had one of those.... on December 25th?
  7. Yep it's a terrific site, that one! Litoria Ewingi (or Southern Brown Tree Frog, or Ewings Frog) are my 2nd favorite frog. Until very recently I had kept them for nearly 20 years.
  8. For anyone interested, HERE is a link to the most common frogs of this area. If you click on the "detailed field guide" you can scroll down and click on their calls. This may help you identify the frogs you see and hear in your backyards.
  9. Poor frogs! Out of your tap? Dunno what they could be... going by the size they would either be the Common Froglet or immature Southern Brown Tree Frogs. Both are plentiful out your neck of the woods. Would LOVE a pic next time you find one in your tea! ;)
  10. Agreed. I have only seen pics on FB and have seen it from the road, but it is coming along now and looks lovely!
  11. More than likely Lymnodynastes Dumerilii. Often called the Banjo frog or Eastern Banjo. There are any number of species it could be, but these are very common and often found.
  12. Yep I have heard LOTS of Spotted Marsh Frogs (Lymnodynasties Tasmeniensis) out your way. They like to live in thick grass where it is moist... not necessarily in water. Unfortunately they often get killed by motor mowers. They are one of very few frog species in Victoria which can be kept without a Protected Wildlife License. Seems a bit odd, as they are still protected and it is illegal to remove them from the environment. I can't justify spending $35 on one in a pet store when most people have them in their back-yards! Hope they hang around your place after you move in. Speaking of which..... any news?
  13. Thanks! Dunno what was going on... I see a frog too, now.
  14. Really? I can still just see one of my Vizsla babies.... wonder what's going on there?
  15. Just thinking how bizarre it is that there's two of us up on DOL when we should probably be in bed!!! Edited to say... I actually changed my Avatar today to a Green Tree Frog but I see my Vizsla is still there. What's the go with that? Does it take some time to happen?
  16. Oooooooh! You are SO asking for trouble, Tenties!
  17. Awwww fingers crossed for you BB! You can add us for July 10.
  18. A Woman on the local animal page of Facebook has lost her Kelpie. It has been missing since last week from the West area of town but may have been last seen around the Japan/Foster Street area. The dog is microchipped, brown and has vivid yellow eyes. If anyone has seen/sees a dog fitting this description, please let me know and I shall post details for her. Thanks.
  19. Geez I reckon your Dr is right! You wont know yourself! How long have you been walking around like THAT??? I HATE going to the Dr's but I think that if I had an abscess in my toe with an in-grown nail.... I'd be there!
  20. Poor bugger! Let us know how you get on.
  21. Have been into town and paid for mine too... Reference - "JJ"
  22. Until recently I worked in hospitality and would contract many local caterers, including the Regal. I gather the staff there are happy and one of them told me Mary-anne is lovely and is a great boss.
  23. Love the Regal... we had our wedding reception there in the 'back room' last year and they were so awesome.
