  1. Well seeing as it was on McKiernan Road I am not surprised in the slightest. Geez I'd have taken his rego and called the police that is just cruel.
  2. Good news. You'll sleep better tonight. P.S: I worry MORE about the dogs than the kids! ;) Probably because of the great health care we get for the skin-kids, and human medicine is much more advanced, of course. Also, the kids are able to tell us what's wrong and how they feel. Pretty hard to diagnose animals.
  3. Awww Happy Birthday TullY! Hope you had a great day. Cav great your pups are doing so well. They look lovely. Don't think Tarni is going to give us a huge litter, thank God. One really nice boy and one lovely girl and I'll be happy!
  4. tlc while the location is a classic for lymphoma, the lump itself really doesn't sound like that's what it is. If I had to put money on it, I'd be suggesting it sounds like nothing more than a fat cyst which is not uncommon at all in dogs as they get older... I had a nine year old Vizsla who was literally covered in them... looked like he'd been attacked by a swarm of wasps! However, I do not think it wise to be blase about such things, so for your own peace of mind as a "just in case", I'd get him to the Vet, but it's certainly not urgent. Edited to add... I see a few others think the same way.... reckon they're right on the money.
  5. There are a few Delicas in Geelong that I know of, but I've not seen that one... will keep my eye out!
  6. RJ it sounds like you have had an amazing weekend away... hope you are able to meet them all again in October. I am out to get the critters tomorrow... about late morning I guess. I will ensure their homes are clean and appropriate but wont be fussing terribly, as they will move into their 'Ritz' enclosure in a few weeks. You are welcome of course to come visit any time once they're all settled. Will PM our address. Yeah, where the hell is Tenties? Off cruizin' ;)
  7. Any word on these yet? Haven't received my book but haven't had payment confirmed either. Hope all's well.
  8. Tenties.... a new car. RJ.... re: tlc, just statin' the obvious! ;) Our puppas due July 10+ RJ No, you've not told us anything of the sort. Now SPILL! RJ I shall be fine this weekend but feel free to come over anytime for a reunion. ;) Cav, how are the 'slugs' doing this morning?
  9. Beautiful, Cav. Are they all Blenheim? Were you hoping for a Ruby girl? I'm sure it doesn't really matter though.... they all look good weights and healthy, I'm sure.
  10. Congratulations on the babies, Cavalblaze!!! What was the final tally in the end??? Hope one of the girls is just perfect for you!
  11. OK well you keep us posted, and I hope all goes smoothly from here on.
  12. I honestly don't think we have a substantial enough population within the hobby to support two 'councils', and while I feel the one we have has done a lot wrong, I also believe it has also got too much right to scrap it entirely for a 'new' organization. Right now, at this point, No... I would not support such a proposal.
  13. Just wanted to say that... tlc is awesome! That is all.
  14. I'm here, sitting here waiting for Craig to call me from Vet group with the results of the progesterone levels. She has vomitted, urinated every 5 minutes, panting heavy but i still haven't seen a contractions. I am walking around with a towel behind her every loo break, just incase. Sent kids off with a friend so I'm home alone. Geez. When was the last time you took her temperature? What was it?
  15. It's ok.... just saw the other thread.
  16. Very simple "proven" design here. All materials from any hardware store. Easy to clean. High sides prevent escapees! I built this one years ago and it has done a great job and will do for many years. I love it. It has done a number of litters... photo taken this week.
  17. Good luck, Cav. 3 or 4 days isn't to much to be concerned about. Judging by that temperature I'd put my money on them being born tonight too! Keep us posted. Hope all goes well for you. But why on Earth do we insist upon having winter litters? I HATE having a litter in the winter!!! Last time we had forty muddy little paws (plus 24 big-dog paws!)scampering in and out of the house. My beautiful grassed lawn puppy kennel became a mud-pit in days. *sigh* This year I am putting puppies out under the roof on the paved area when it's wet. They can go out on the grass when the sun is shining. ;) Don't forget to post pics as soon as you can, Cav!
  18. No... just went out to look (in a break in the rain!) only to find it up by the shed! Some nice person down the road has obviously brought it up for us. God knows where it was!
  19. Hmmmm, well it was bin night here. I haven't been out to look for it yet though! I couldn't believe the rain... so heavy! We actually had a small leak inside.... never happened before. I'm not going in to work today; really not much point. The ground will be too wet & muddy to do anything. DOL day!!!
  20. Geez I hope she's not too early. When is her due date from her first mating?
  21. That's a nice basic Vivarium, popular with beginners and the price is right. She shouldn't have any problem selling it. I would definitely put it on GumTree.com and also on www.aussiepythonsandsnakes.com. She would need to 'join' this one but it is free to advertise in the marketplace and things seem to sell quickly there. Ask her to PM me if she needs any help.
  22. Just a quick pic.... Introducing Tarni to the whelping box. Just four weeks to go.
  23. I think Tenties and RuralPug are busy studying the frog in their gardens (and kitchen sinks!) I really don't think that the girls 'enjoy' being pregnant... I just think some cope better than others. Belle had three litters for me, the first while very young, and she was just awesome. If I didn't know better I would say she enjoyed it... she just became so placid and affectionate and seemed to wear a permanent silly grin on her face! She was an incredible Mum too, best I have seen in any breed. I've never experienced such devotion to a litter. Amy slowed down greatly when pregnant and went a bit sooky and wouldn't interact with me or anyone much. She seemed to become a loner, and once the pups were born she did what she had to do - nothing more. Once the pups were weened she was right back to her usual happy self. Tarni is a lot less active and has to be forced to go for a walk. She is has also become sooky and 'needy' and has lost patience with anything at all stressful. For example, with my four kids and all the neighbors kids running around the house mad, Tarni used to just run around with them everywhere they went with tongue lolling and tail wagging. Since being mated she will escape the area, tail down, whinging. She has even growled at one of them for getting too close to her sofa! Needless to say, we have implemented some tough new rules at our place for the time being!
  24. Hi T&T! I'd love to get out for a walk with everyone too, but Tarni is all hormonal and cranky and doesn't even want to leave her sofa. She's not handling pregnancy well.... don't think I'll let her have another litter, it doesn't seem fair if they really don't enjoy it! She's a bloody sook in this cold weather too, she has her dinner on the patio at about 6:00pm and comes straight inside. She will refuse to go out to the toilet until after lunchtime the next day! I don't know how she holds on and when she eventually lets it go its like Niagara Falls!!
